Surviving is her daughter Kathy (Al) Bogucki; two grandchildren, Steve and Chris Bogucki; two brothers, David (Jackie) Lees and Robert Neil Lees and many nieces and nephews. HELMER, JAMES E., Age 58 years, of Pittsford, passed away Saturday, April 13, at the home of his mother, Frances D. Helmer in Westland, Michigan. He was born February 7, 1944 in Hillsdale, MI, the son of Harry W. and Frances D. (Seiple) Helmer. He lived most of his life in the Detroit and Downriver areas and was a graduate of Wayne Memorial High School in Wayne. He was employed as a computer technician at the Ford Motor Company in Wayne and Brownstown for 37 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Green Beret Special Forces. Surviving are one son, James E. Helmer, Jr. of Waterford; his mother, Frances D. Helmer of Westland; his father, Harry W. Helmer of Pittsford; two brothers, Larry (Sue) Helmer of Westland and Dennis Helmer of Monroe; three sisters, Sharon (Gary) David of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Linda (Gerry) Johnson of Horton and Diana Gasek of Ypsilanti and by a half-brother, Steven Helmer of Crystal Lake, Somerset Township. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the, Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Hudson with Rev. Mark Johnston officiating. Interment will be made in the Berg cemetery at Montgomery with Military Rites by the Hannan-Colvin Post #180, American Legion of Hudson in charge. The visition will be held from 6-9 p.m. Monday.
