LEHNER, GEORGE A., George Lehner, a former resident of Clarkston, died following a long illness April 7 at his home. Mr Lehner retired form General Motors where he was an industrial engineer, first at the Chevrolet Stamping Plant in Parma and later at the General Motors Tech Center in Warren. During the 1970 s he was active in the Deer Lake Homeowner s Association leading efforts to protect and preserve wetlands, protect water quality and limit development around the lake. Mr. Lehner is survived by his wife of 54 years, Phyllis of Falls Church, VA. Three sons, George of Alexandria, VA, Chris of Milwaukee, WI and Tom of Baltimore, MD. Five grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at the West Shore Unitarian Church on Hillard Road in Rocky River, Ohio on April 21 at 1 PM. John was the owner of the Lepak Printing Co. for 50 years before retiring in 2000. Former member of St. Hedwig Church in Detroit. Current member of St. Pat s in Brighton. Former member of the Alhambra, P.R.C.U. and Knights of Columbus. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Mass was held at St. Pat s on April 9, 2001. May God forgive all and may he rest in peace.
