Velma Brink, age 91, of Morenci passed away Saturday, April 15, 2006, at the Darlington Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Toledo, Ohio. She was born on January 4, 1915, in Delta, Ohio, the daughter of Bernard & Melissa (Welch) Fisher. On March 8, 1947, in Seward, Ohio, she married Nelson Brink. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2001.
Velma was a homemaker living most all of her life in the Morenci and Wauseon areas.
Survivors include a son, Charles Mann of Temperance; three grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Dennis of Morenci.
Besides her husband, Nelson, Velma was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Richard, a sister, Letha Fisher; and a brother, Leslie Fisher.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci with Rev. William VanValkenburg officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove cemetery in Morenci. There will be a visitation on Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of donor's choice.

Wilma J. Stalhood, age 72, of Reading and formerly of Hillsdale, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2006, at home. She was born March 2, 1934 in Hillsdale, Michigan to William Lewis & Myrna (Fuller) Brown.
Wilma was a 17 year employee of Jonesville Products, a graduate of Hillsdale High School in 1971, and a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by daughters, Shirley (Jeff) Proctor of San Diego, California, Jessica (Jim) VanDyke and Rosemary (Art) Brown, both of Kunkle, Ohio, Laurie Cook of Hillsdale, Caril (Dave) Lattas of Jonesville and Kathleen Henricks of Montpelier, Ohio; sons, Steven (Marilyn) Stalhood of Jonesville and David (Jane) Stalhood of Reading; 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Norma Yope of Reno, Nevada and Dorothy (Gilbert) Spears of Ashland, Mississippi; and two brothers, Lynn Lewis of Sherwood, Michigan and Daryl Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter JoAnn in infancy.
Funeral services for Wilma Stalhood will be Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at 11:00 a.m., at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale with Pastor Keith Porter officiating. Interment will be at Cambria cemetery #2. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Elmer L. Roan, age 83, of N. Market St., Hudson, Michigan passed away Thursday, May 31, 2007, at home. He was born July 19, 1923, in Delaware Twp., Ohio to Lurly Edward and Hermina (Kinstle) Roan. He
married Idris Borton on July 20, 1943, in Waterloo, Indiana and she survives.
Elmer was a life long Hudson area resident and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1941. He retired from Kewaunee Manufacturing in Adrian, Michigan in 1985, with 34 years of service, and served in the US Army in England and France during WWII. Elmer was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hudson Fire Department and E.M.S. for over 22 years as a radio dispatcher for the department from 1985 until 2007. He had a love for art and made maps for Hudson, Clayton, Morenci, Addison, Manitou Beach, Britton and Onsted Fire & Ambulance Departments and enjoyed archery, hunting and fishing. He dearly loved his children and grandchildren and will be sadly missed by all.
Surviving Elmer besides his wife, Idris of Hudson, are three children, Susan (Michael) Marry of Hudson, Gary Roan of Hudson and Tina (Steven) Snider of Fayette, Ohio; one daughter-in-law, Bonnie Roan of Hudson, 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and God daughter, Danielle (Devloo) Blackmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Rita Warner and Mary Barrett, one brother, Russell Roan, one son, Lurly Edward Roan and great-granddaughter, Traci Lynn Marry.
Mass of Christian Burial for Elmer Roan will be Monday, June 4, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hudson with Fr. Richard Eberle and Fr. H. Paul Ruddy as celebrants. Military interment by the Hudson American Legion Hannan Colvin Post #180 will follow at Calvary cemetery in Hudson. Visitation will be Saturday from 5-8 p.m. and Sunday from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8:30 p.m. with a Prayer Service on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson.

Homer A. Donaldson, age 93, of Adrian, Michigan and formerly of Hudson, Michigan passed away Saturday, May 12, 2007, at Lynwood Manor in Adrian. He was born July 8, 1913, in Continental, Ohio to Asa and Martha (Buckingham) Donaldson.
Homer was founder and owner of Homer Donaldson Company in Hudson, attended Scott High School in Toledo, was a member of the Elks in Adrian, past member of Hudson City Council and the Hudson Mens Thursday Afternoon Golf League. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving Homer is one daughter, Joan (Duane) Murphy of Hudson; two sons, Jack Donaldson and John (Barb) Donaldson all of Hudson; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Arthur, Clyde and Donald Donaldson and son, James Donaldson.
Graveside services for Homer Donaldson will be Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. at Maple Grove cemetery in Hudson with Rev. Mark Johnston officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson.

Phoebe Anne Dexter, age 68, of Hillsdale, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. She was born January 1, 1939 in Richmond, Virginia to George & Kathryn (Clauratie) Brooks. She was married December 17, 1957, to Sheldon L. "Shel" Dexter and he preceded her in death June 1, 2004.
Phoebe was co-owner of Winner Circle Yamaha in Hillsdale. She received her associates degree from Jackson Community College in 1993 and her bachelors degree from Hillsdale College in 1997. Phoebe was a lifetime member of the American Motorcycle Association.
Surviving are four sons, Lonny (Tamar) Dexter of Denver, Colorado, Rick (Kaye) Dexter of Springfield, Tennessee, David (Robin) Dexter of Hillsdale and Tim (Ann) Dexter of Ashley, Indiana; two granddaughters, Danielle and Kaitlyn; two brothers, David (Janet) Brooks of Virginia and Edward (Elizabeth) Brooks of Washington D.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, William.
There will be a memorial visitation for Phoebe Dexter on Friday, June 1, 2007, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.

JoeAnne Momyer, age 71, of Fayette, Ohio passed away Monday, May 14, 2007, at home. She was born August 17, 1935, in Adrian, Michigan to George and Katheryn (Partridge) Smith. She married Donald L. Momyer on September 19, 1952, in Angola, Indiana and he survives.
JoeAnne was a graduate of Morenci High School in 1953, was a member of Morenci Bible Fellowship Church and taught Sunday School in the Morenci area for over 50 years. Her hobbies included crafts, music, and she dearly loved her children and grandchildren.
Surviving JoeAnne besides her husband, Don, of Fayette are six sons, Randy Momyer of Manistee, Michigan, Kevin R. (Jane) Momyer of West Unity, Ohio, Donald T. (Tammy) of West Unity, Ohio, Timothy J. Momyer and Birdie Baumgartner of Fayette, Ohio, Patrick G. (Debi) Momyer of Morenci, Michigan and Ronald L. (Julie) Momyer of Wauseon, Ohio; eighteen grandchildren, Joshua Momyer, Catrina, Ryan and Natasha Momyer, Zachary (Lana) Rising, Dusty Rising and Matthew Momyer, Beth (Rick) Manz, Crystal (Shane) Campbell, Tammy and Carrie Davis, Kristy (Joe) Castillo, Eric Momyer, Noah Momyer, Caleb (Oliva) Momyer, Brittany, Jordan and Hannah Momyer; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Evelyn Miller; one brother, Pearl William Smith; and one son, Allen L. Momyer.
Memorial services for JoeAnne Momyer will be Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the Morenci Bible Fellowship Church with Rev. James Yatzek officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant View Union cemetery in Fayette. Arrangements are by the Eagle Funeral Home in Fayette, Ohio.

Robert L. Benzing, age 71, of Clayton, Michigan passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008, at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was born November 12, 1936 in Wapakoneta, Ohio to Guy Leroy and Alma Louise (Sandkuhl) Benzing. He married Janice Speckman on December 26, 1959 in St. Marys, Ohio and she survives.
Robert retired from General Motors in Adrian after 27 years of service, graduated from St. Marys Memorial High School in 1955, and attended the Ohio State Hwy. Patrol Academy. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, Free Mason and Pheasants Forever. He was an all around sportsman while enjoying the outdoors and dearly loved his wife, children and grandchildren.
Surviving Robert besides his wife, Janice, of Clayton is one daughter, Amy (William) Ritchie of Clayton; two sons, Michael (Robin) Benzing of Britton, Michigan and David (Tracie) Benzing of Sand Creek, Michigan; nine grandchildren, Rachel, Teri, Abigail, Joshua, Adam, Chelsea, Wyatt, Daniel and Suzanne; two sisters, Marie Cordier of Centerville, Ohio and Sue Ann Miller of New Bremen, Ohio.
Funeral services for Robert Benzing will be Thursday, May 1, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson with Pastor Larry Brown officiating. Interment will follow at North Dover cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
