Paul Herman, 74, of Morenci passed away Friday, April 23, 2010, at the Bixby Medical Center in Adrian. He was born on November 10, 1935, in Ottoville, Ohio, the son of Othmar & Emma (Smith) Herman. On June 23, 1959, in Madison he married Patricia DeLongchamp and she survives.
Paul has lived in Morenci since 1994. He was formerly employed at American Chain and Cable in Adrian as a tool setter from where he retired in 1986. Paul served his country during the Korean War in the Air Force. He was a member of the Morenci American Legion #368, a life member of the Adrian VFW, and a life member of the Korean War Veterans.
Besides his wife, Pat, Paul is survived by a daughter, Teresa (David) Earles of Tecumseh; a son, Paul (Lorilie) Herman of Columbus, Ohio; two grandchildren, Rachel and Matthew Earles; six sisters, Carol (Ora) Hatcher of Sylvania, Ohio, Joyce (Mike) Dwyer of Morenci; Mary Ellen Davis of Adrian, Delores Rayer of North Branch, Minnesota, Lillian Warren (Rollin Lauber) of Hudson, and Diana (William) Mundhenk of Fayette, Ohio; three brothers, Richard Herman of Tennessee, Robert (Ingrid) Herman of California, and David Davis (Joan Hood) of Tucson, Arizona; three half sisters, Vicki Herman, Gayle (Lyle) Clark, and Karen Herman; two half brothers, Charles Herman and Daniel Herman; two sisters in law, Elizabeth DeLongchamp and Lois Evans both of Adrian; and many nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; step father, Henry Davis; a sister, Clara Jeanette Herman; two brothers, Oscar and Edward Herman; and two brothers in law, Robert and William DeLongchamp.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove cemetery in Morenci with Fr. Gary Ferguson officiating. There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements were through the Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci.

Jeff Simmons, 45, of Morenci passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. He was born on July 14, 1964, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Louie Simmons & Judith Canfield.
Jeff was a graduate of the Fayette High School class of 1982. He has lived in the Fayette/Morenci area all of his life working as a bricklayer out of Local #1 in Defiance, Ohio. Jeff loved fishing, watching sports, and seeing his children grow into young adults. Most of all his heart filled with joy while spending time with family, friends, and his granddaughter.
Survivors include a daughter, Devyn (Jesse) Mull of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a son, Kayne Simmons of Fayette; granddaughter, McKenna Mull; his mother, Judy Canfield of Hamilton, Ohio; step mother, Dee Ann Simmons of Delta, Ohio; grandmother, Marcie Krizan of Morenci; two sisters, Faye Canfield of Hamilton, Ohio, and Tari Pennington of Fayette, Ohio; three brothers, Glenn Simmons of Chillicothe, Ohio, Ernie Canfield of Freeport, Texas, and Kirk Simmons of Delta, Ohio; companion, Meredith Cameron of Morenci; and several nieces and nephews.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Louie Simmons; and grandparents, Marie & Louie Mynhier and Joseph Krizan.
Funeral service will be at the Zion United Brethren Church in Odgen Center on Saturday, May 15, 2010, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Aden Porter officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove cemetery in Morenci. There will be a visitation on Thursday from 5 until 8 PM and on Friday from 11 AM until 1 PM and 5 until 8 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci.

Dorothy E. Martin, 83, of Hillsdale, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility. She was born May 5, 1927 in Hillsdale to Lester & Grace (Waldron) Draper. She was married March 15, 1947 to Robert Martin and he preceded her in death December 25, 2003.
Dorothy was the owner and operator of Stylette Beauty Salon in Hillsdale for 53 years. She was a graduate of Reading High School and Riggs Beauty School. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Dorothy enjoyed bowling and sponsored the Stylettes Bowling Team at Hillside Lanes for over 20 years. She was also a strong supporter of the Humane Society.
Surviving are two daughters, Dee Dee Wise and Jodi Martin, both of Hillsdale; two sons, David Martin of Hillsdale and Terry (Laura) Martin of Jonesville; six grandchildren, Erica Martin, Jessica Martin, Merissa Wise, David Martin Jr., Brittany Martin and Kyle Martin; 3 great grandchildren, Evan, Carlin and Lain; two sisters, Janice (Don) Binkley of North Adams and Barbara (Herb) Smith of Hillsdale. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Buddy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, a son Tom in 1977, and a brother Jim.
Graveside funeral services for Dorothy Martin will be Saturday, May 29, 2010, at 2:00 p.m., at the Oak Grove cemetery in Hillsdale with Fr. Thomas Butler officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Lung Association or the Humane Society.

David W. Evans, 44, of Hillsdale, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at home. He was born October 15, 1965 in Harvey, Illinois to Thomas and Bonnie (Lindman) Evans and they survive.
There will be no visitation or services for David W. Evans at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home.

Time stood still as a celebration of life began at 4:50 am, Sunday, May 30, 2010, as Cash O'Neill Harmon bestowed his arrival upon his proud and loving parents, Nathan Harmon and Colleen O'Neill. Precious memories were made and friends and family were filled with unequivocal joy as he walked into their hearts where he will forever roam. At 10:50 am their son spread his angel wings and as he began to fly his newborn soul was lifted from his earthly body. As now, our guardian, Cash will walk beside his grandfather, Donald L. Harmon, and others to guide and protect friends and family.
Cash has left his imprint in the souls of those whom he is survived by. Cash's father, Nathan Harmon and his mother, Colleen O'Neill; his grandparents, Richard and Darlene Copp, Beverlee McMurray, Patrick and Elizabeth O'Neill; his great-grandparents, Frieda Harmon, Sue Bixler and Paul and Betty McMurray; his aunts and uncles Matthew Harmon, Gregory and Jodi Mallar, Chad Copp and Lindsey Copp; Michael and Cynthia Jacobs; and many other family and friends will hold a funeral service for him on Thursday at 12:00 noon, at VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale, Michigan. There will be a visitation Thursday from 11:00 until 12:00 noon, also at the funeral home.
Any parties interested in making monetary contributions to the family will be collected through VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home and later donated to Sparrow Hospital's Labor/Delivery and Newborn ICU. Bonnie J. Tam, 80, of Hudson passed away peacefully Sunday, May 2, 2010, at the home of her daughter on Posey Lake in Hudson. She was born on May 1, 1930, in Toledo, Ohio the daughter of Carl and Martha (Dierker) Aufdenkampe. On September 15, 1953, she married Paul Tam and he preceded her in death on December 28, 1986.
Bonnie and Paul built their summer cottage on Posey Lake in 1948 and turned that into their permanent residence in 1972. Her favorite past time was spending time with family and friends at the lake. She was employed at the Toledo Trust Bank for many years. She was a former member of St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Toledo. She graduated from Libby High School and was a graduate of Stautzenberger College in Toledo. Bonnie is going to be greatly missed by special pet, Norm.
Surviving Bonnie are two daughters, Brenda (Dan) Crossen of Toledo and April (Brad) McCaskey of Hudson; five grandchildren, Nick Schuster, Brad (Steffanie) Schuster, Katelyn Crossen, and Jake & Krissey McCaskey; and a great-granddaughter, Sylvia Schuster.
Besides her husband, Paul, Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, and a granddaughter, Angie McCaskey.
Funeral services for Bonnie will be Thursday, May 6, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at the Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson with Rev. Clyde Wonders officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove cemetery in Hudson. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Betty L. Climo, 85, of Fayette, OH, passed away May 5, 2010, at her home. She was born in Elkhart, IN on January 23, 1925, to the late Edison and Amanda (Shaffer) Abbott. She married Charles Climo in 1953, in Fayette, and they shared 57 years of marriage.
Betty graduated from Leo High School in Leo, IN in 1943. She retired in 1993 from GTE in Bryan, where she had served as a telephone operator for 30 years. Betty was an active member of the Fayette Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving Betty are her husband, Charles; two nieces, Carolyn (James) Shell of Logansport, IN, and Patricia (Terry) Richard of Breman, IN; a sister-in-law, Irene Abbott of South Bend, IN; and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Rev. Harvey Stahl, and a brother, Robert Abbott.
A graveside funeral service for Betty Climo will take place on Monday, May 10, 2010, at 12:00 p.m. at the West Olive cemetery near Elkhart, IN. Rev. Winston Hatcliff will officiate. Visitation will be held at the Eagle Funeral Home-Barrett Chapel in Fayette on Saturday, May 8, 2010, from 3-5 p.m.

Eleanore K. Bable, 52, of Jonesville, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. She was born September 6, 1957 in Hillsdale to Clifford & Edna (Etchells) Horney. She was married September 29, 1979 to Robert Bable and he survives.
Eleanore retired from Dow Chemical in Hillsdale. She attended school in Jonesville and she was an outdoors person. She enjoyed fishing and loved her pets, especially her dogs.
Surviving besides her husband Bob are two daughters, Amber (Andrew) Bearden of Jonesville and Desiree Bable of Grand Blanc; two sons, Adam (Melissa) Bable of Allen and Cody Bable of Kennewick, Washington; two step-grandchildren, Drew and Chelsea Bearden; a sister, Kathy (Mark) Duryea of Reading; and her mother-in-law, Loretta Gruber of Punta Gorda, Florida.
Memorial services for Eleanore Bable will be Monday, June 7, 2010, at 2:00 p.m., at the Jonesville United Methodist Church with Pastor Craig Pahl officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at the Sunset View cemetery in Jonesville. The family will receive friends for visitation Monday from 1:00 p.m. until services at the church.

Robert Ort, 89, of Morenci passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon, Ohio. He was born on March 23, 1921, in Chesterfield Twp., Ohio, the son of Israel & Ella (Beatty) Ort. On September 3, 1950, in Waldron he married Barbara Jean Markel and she survives.
Robert has lived most of his life in the Morenci area working in construction and farming. He served in the US Army during WWII, serving three years in the South Pacific. Robert was a member of the Morenci First Baptist Church where he served in many areas. He enjoyed wood working, making funiture for his family and his bountiful garden was a life long passion.
Besides his wife, Barbara, Robert is survived by two daughters, Jeanie (Scott) Thompson of Morenci and Kristy (Rick) Collins of Adrian; a son, Jeffery (Barbara) Ort of Morenci; six grandchildren, April Ort, Alan (Rachel) Ort, Derek Thompson, Bart (Teresa) Thompson and Drew and Ben Collins; two great grandsons, Jacob and Noah; and a sister, Florence DePelsmaeker of Saginaw.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Vivian Hoover, Glenna Wolf, Ila Strausbaugh and Neva Scoviac; and three brothers, Victor, William and Wilford Ort.
Funeral service will be on Friday, May 28, 2010, at 11:00 AM at the Morenci First Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Wonn officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove cemetery in Morenci. There will be a visitation on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci.
