Jeffrey L. McQueen, 49, of Metamora (formerly of Oxford), died Thursday (November 22, 2001).
He was born April 8, 1952, in Greenville, to JB and Bonnie McQueen. He married Cathrine St. Croix in Lapeer on Aug. 25, 1984.
Jeffrey was a 1970 graduate of Oxford High School. He was an Associate Broker for Real Estate One Gardner, Lapeer for 15 years.
He is survived by his son, Joshua of Lapeer; parents, JB and Bonnie McQueen of Oxford; brother, Tim (Barb) of Fenton; nephew, Jacob of Fenton; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; many friends, including former wife, Cathy; and his special friend Patty Boesler of Lapeer.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A memorial Fellowship will be held 5-7 p.m., Thursday (Nov. 29, 2001) at Hunters Creek Club House, (Hunters Creek Manufactured Home Community) Lapeer. Cremation has taken place.
Dale V. Nutt

Dale V. Nutt, 66, of Kissimmee, Fla. (formerly of North Branch), died Nov. 21, 2001.
He was born 1935, in Flint, to Robert J. and Judith A. (Putnam) Nutt. He married Judith A. (Levffgen) Nutt.
He moved to Kissimmee from North Branch in 1991. He was a retired truck driver for Complete Auto Transfer in Flint. He was also a member of Local #332. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was married to his wife, Judith for 45 years.
He is survived by his wife, Judith A.; sons, Dale M. and Dwayne A. both of Clermont, Fla., Daniel J. of Brooksville, Fla., and James D. of Lapeer; daughter, Theresa M. LaForge of Kissimmee, Fla.; brother, Virgil D. of Indian River; sisters, Marilyn Johnson of North Branch, Charlene Turner of Davison, Phillis Klaulka of Lupton, Norma Morey and Cheryl Whitney both of Lapeer; 10 grandchildren; and 1 great-granddaughter.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to The First Baptist Church of Kissimmee, 1700 N. John Young Parkway, Kissimmee, Fla., 34741.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Friday (Nov. 30, 2001) at The Lapeer Michigan Assembly of God. Deacon James D. Nutt will officiate. Burial will be in Dawn Memorial cemetery, Lapeer.

Mamie E. Nieschulz

Lapeer
Mamie E. Nieschulz, of Lapeer (formerly of Columbiaville), died Nov. 21, 2001.
She was born in Huron County, north of Kilmanagh, to Frederick and Marie (Radloff) Thede. She married Herman Karl Nieschulz.
Her husband, Herman was the son of Johan and Elizabeth Rathke. She was the fourth of ten children. She was the granddaughter of Clusen and Elesabea (Lucht) Thede and Theodore and Caroline (Van Drey/Von Drei) Radloff. She lived her childhood on the first farm west of Kilmanagh. She and her husband and two daughters moved to Columbiaville on Skelton Road where they developed and managed Jac-Mar Nursery and Apple Orchards. In 1942, she began working for Neil and Eleanor Lambert at their original general store until the 1960's when the business was sold to Dr. and Ann House. She and her husband moved five miles north of Lapeer in the latter part of the 1950's. After her husbands death in 1973 she moved to Lapeer in 1981. She survived, without complaining, two major cancer surgeries at U of M Hospital in 1986 and 1988 radiation treatments at William Beaumont in Royal Oak. She also survived several strokes except the last that took her life. Her optimism was a joy to her family and friends. She was a patriotic American donating over two gallons of blood during WWII. Many of her generous good deeds are unrecorded, including saving a little girls life who had fallen in a ditch of water.
She is survived by her daughters, Claire (Wally) Wilmot of Royal Oak and Marilyn (Fred) Burgess of Columbiaville; grandsons, Alan (Frieda) Wilmot of Traverse City, Douglas (Mary Ellen Barrett) Wilmot of Chesterfield Twp, Jeffery (Karen Kaczmer) Wilmot of Birmingham; great-grandchildren, Jason Wilmot of Bermuda, Michael, Daniel and Kevin Wilmot of Chesterfield Twp., Joseph Wilmot of Birmingham and Lisa (Richard) Burton of Traverse City; great-great-grandson, Jacob Burton; step-son, Garth Alderman of Traverse City; goddaughters, Ruth (Joseph) Barnhardt of Owendale, Beatrice (Donald) Elenbaum of Unionville; cousin, Alford (Helen) Wichert of Bay Port; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Karl Nieschulz on Nov. 10, 1973; sisters and brothers, Elsie (Ernst) Bolzman of Bay Port, Elma (Otto) Kundinger of Kilmanagh, Lillian (Carl) Heiman of Detroit, Oscar Thede of Sebewaing, Alice (Elmer Myers) (George) Fauser, Otto (Florence) Thede, Arthur Thede, Viola (Clayton) Heist and Howard Bud (Margaret) Thede of Rose Island; nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Pauls Lutheran Church's newly planned Library, Lapeer County Library, Columbiaville Branch, Genesee District Library, Forest Township Branch, American Heart Association or The American Cancer Society.
A private funeral was held Saturday (Nov. 24, 2001) at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Rev. John Kaiser officiated. Burial was in Woodlawn cemetery, Columbiaville.

Arnold W. Millsap

Brown City
Arnold W. Millsap, 79, of Brown City, died Nov.18, 2001.
He was born April 1,1922, in Blairsville, Ga., to Early Bob and Verna (Tothrow) Millsap. He married Johnnie Smith in Detroit on Oct. 9, 1945.
Arnold was a carpenter. He retired from the Lerman Corporation in 1986, completing 30 years of service. He was a member of the North Goodland Baptist Church. He enjoyed working with wood and leather, as well as doing crossword puzzles. He will be greatly missed by his loving family.
He is survived by his wife, Johnnie; children, Regina (Steve) Spearman of S.C., James R. of Brown City, Arnold W. (Lila) of Leonard and Ronald A. (Diana) of Columbiaville; grandchildren, Dina (Robert) Holder, Sherri Lynn, David Aaron, Sarah Ruth, Erik (Melissa), Melissa (Eric) Gipson; great-grandchildren, Ceara, Baylee, Elizabeth, Michael and Amethyst; sister, Geraldine Quarrella of Florida.
Funeral services were held Wednesday (Nov. 21, 2001) at Baird-Newton Funeral Home. Pastor Staley M. Sorrell officiated. Burial was in the Oakview cemetery, Royal Oak.

Edwin Kennard

Edwin Ed Kennard, 82, of Columbiaville, died Nov. 18, 2001.
He was born May 6, 1919, in Michigan, to John and Lottie (Werden) Kennard. He married Ruby Ginnie Virginia Heathman in Flint on Nov. 19, 1942.
Mr. Kennard served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a devoted father and grandfather. Mr. Kennard owned and operated Kennards Body Shop in Lapeer for many years. Ed was an avid bowler and golfer.
He is survived by his children, Thomas (Jan) of Imlay City, Linda Ballard of Columbiaville, Patricia Sweet of Attica; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ginnie on July 10, 1998; parents; siblings, baby boy Kennard, Florence Beyer, Aletha Hayden, Wava Whitney, Jack Kennard.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Lung Association.
Funeral services were held Wednesday (Nov. 21, 2001) at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. The Rev. Canon Yung-Hsuan Chou officiated. Burial was in Dawn Memorial cemetery.

Lisa Marie Trombley
Died: Sunday, November 18, 2001

Almont
Lisa Marie Trombley, 21, of Almont, died Sunday (Nov. 18, 2001).
She was born in Detroit to Larry and Lynn (Craft) Trombley.
Lisa died due to an automobile accident. She was a 1998 graduate of Almont High School and was currently attending Davenport College in Romeo. Lisa worked at Ligon Brothers Manufacturing company in Almont. She was loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by her parents, Larry and Lynn of Almont; sisters, Jennifer and Marlanne both of Almont; grandparents Donald and Frances of St. Clair Shores; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Norma Craft.
A Funeral Mass will beheld 10 a.m., Wednesday (Nov. 19, 2001) at St. John Catholic Church, Allenton. Rev. Fr. Jerry Fraley will officiate. Burial will be in Hough cemetery, Almont.

Jean Cooper

Lapeer
Jean Cooper, 76, of Lapeer, died Nov. 16, 2001 at Genesys Hospice Center, Goodrich.
She was born March 4, 1925 in Virden, Manitoba, Canada. She married Clarence Cooper in Clinton, Ontario, Canada on Oct. 30, 1947.
She was a Dietary Supervisor for Lapeer County Medical Care Facility for 10 years, retiring in 1985. She attended the Trinity United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Dorcas Esther Circle. Jean was an avid reader. She also enjoyed doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by her loving children, Nancy Reamer of Lapeer, Laurie of Lapeer and Robert (Wendy) of Midland; grandchildren, Amy (David) Weckle of Ortonville, Sarah, Laura and Emily of Midland; sisters, Shirley Falconer and Barbara (Frank) Thom of Clinton, Ontario, Canada; 1 niece and 4 nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held Monday (Nov. 19, 2001) at Baird-Newton Funeral Home, Lapeer. Burial was in Dawn Memorial cemetery.

John Eric Buswell

Columbiaville
John Eric Buswell, 80, of Columbiaville (formerly of Gladwin), died Nov. 16, 2001.
He was born April 17, 1921, in South Wigston, Leicester, England, to John W. and Elsie (Green) Buswell. He married Elizabeth M. Kammer in Detroit on June 17, 1944.
Mr. Buswell served in the Royal Air Force during WWII. He then worked as a engineering foreman for General Motors at Fisher Body, retiring in 1977 after 32 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Gladwin, and most recently a member at Immaculate Conception Church. John enjoyed operating Ham Radios and was most importantly a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth of Columbiaville; children Phillip (Connie) of Gladwin, Karen (Ray) Davis of Columbiaville, John W. of Columbiaville, Pamala (David) Baldwin of Sterling Heights, Cheryl (Thomas) Dwyer of Ferndale; grandchildren, Colleen, Jeffrey, Rachalle, Russell, Raymond, Denise, Angie, David, Daryl, Phillip, Tommy, Kurt and Heather; great-grandchildren, Madison, Jacob, Lily, Blake, Brandon, Benjamin, Gregory, Megan and one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held Tuesday (Nov. 20, 2001) at Immaculate Conception Church, Lapeer. Father Janusz Iwan officiated. Cremation took place after the services.
