Luella Robbins, 82, of North Branch, died Tuesday (April 16, 2002) at Lapeer Regional Hospital.
She was born March 5, 1920, in Pontiac, to George and Viola (Noble) Caine. She married Orville Robbins in Pontiac on Aug. 28, 1954.
She worked at Pontiac General Motors, Vesleys and Ferguson Convalescent Home. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, crocheting and reading.
She is survived by one daughter, Claudia O'Connor of North Branch; one son, John Robbins of Holland; one sister, Lyola Findley of Florida; one brother, Larry (Dolores) Cain of Indiana; grandchildren, Emily, Amanda, Erin Robbins, Jackie Ellis, Catherine Bennett, Michael O'Connor, Jessica O'Conner and Paul Smithling; and great-grandchildren, Rachel and Samantha Bennett and Heidi Davis.
Funeral services were Friday (April 19, 2002) at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home, North Branch. The Rev. Wayne Ferrigan officiated. Burial was in the Deerfield cemetery.

Laverne E. Beals

Brown City
Laverne E. "Buzz" Beals, 69, of Brown City, died April 16, 2002 at his home.
He was born June 22, 1932, in Elk Township near Peck, to Howard and Hilda Beals. He married Evelyn J. Steaban in Capac.
He graduated from Brown City High School with the Class of 1950. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a truck driver, owner-operator and a member of the Teamster Local 339. He worked 26 years with Hess Cartage delivering steel bridge beams, later he drove for Triple R Trucking driving bulk cement and never had an accident in all his years of driving. He was an active member and treasurer for many years at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brown City and the Aid Associatiol for Lutherans Branch 7359. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Evelyn; daughter, Ann Marie (Dan) Krause of Lapeer; sons, Carl (Mariyln) of Port Huron and Gary (Sharon) of Brown City; grandchildren, Emily Hollis and Keenan Beals; brother, Howard "Prune" (Joyce); sister, Sarah W. (Clark) Bertrand; brother-in-law, Dee Dunlay; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Helene Dunlay.
Funeral services were Friday (April 19, 2002) at Trinity Lutheran Church, Brown City. Burial was in Elk Township cemetery.

Kathleen "Katie" Bauer, 15, of Pickerington, Ohio, died Tuesday (April 16, 2002) at Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
She is survived by her mother, Catherine L. (Stenson) Bauer; brother, Eric Thomas Bauer; sister, Marilee "LeeLee" Bauer all of Pickerington; father, Richard T. Bauer of Indianapolis, Ind.; maternal grandfather, John Stenson of Pickerington; paternal grandmother, Kathryn Bauer of Lapeer; aunts and uncles, John (Christy) Stenson, Christopher (Susan) Stenson, Michael (Mindy) Stenson, Marilyn (Stenson) Helber all of Pickerington, Christina (Glen) Sanford and Timothy (Karla) Bauer all of Michigan; cousins, Ryan (Angela) Stenson, Grant, Jessica, Johnathon, Nicholas and Marie Stenson, Patrick and Grace Helber all of Pickerington, Alicia and Christopher Sanford both of Michigan; second cousin, Elizabeth Stenson; many friends and relatives.
Funeral services were Saturday (April 20, 2002) at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Pickerington, Ohio. The Rev. Martin V. Weithman, celebrant. Entombment was in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Pataskala, Ohio.

Redlands, Calif.
Ida C. Gordier, 97, of Redlands, Calif. (formerly of Oxford), died April 15, 2002 at Braswell's Colonial Care, Redlands, Calif.
She was born Nov. 2, 1904, in Ontario, Canada, to John and Mary (Lisso) Wildfong. She married Fred W. Gordier in Hespeler, Ontario, Canada on Nov. 13, 1921.
She was a homemaker, wife and mother.
She is survived by her grandson, Larry of Clinton Township; great-granddaughters, Jodi Ferguson of Lapeer, Tammy Waymaster of St. Clair Shores, Brenda Jeffery of North Branch; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred in 1988; and son, Wilford in 1985.
Funeral services were April 19 at Wiefels and Son Funeral Home in Banning, Calif. Burial was in San Gorgonia Memorial Park, Banning, Calif.
Evelyn Armstrong

Davison
Evelyn Armstrong, 80, of Davison (formerly of Detroit), died Monday (April 15, 2002).
She was born Oct. 24, 1921, in Nottingham, England, to Kate (Townrow) Cutts. She married Billy Armstrong in Nottingham, England on Feb. 10, 1945.
She was a member of the Daughters of the British Empire-Viscount Alexander Chapter. She loved walking, hiking and just being in the great outdoors. She was a loving wife, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her brother, Albert (Eileen) of Novi; sister, Ivy (Sidney) Sewell of Nottingham, England; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy; mother, Kate; brothers, George and Stanley; sisters, Kitty, Edna, Frances and Doris.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or Maplewood Manor, Clio.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Thursday (April 18, 2002) at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Friday (April 19, 2002) at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. The Rev. Joel Caminiti will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery, Lapeer.

James Edward Shenberger, 33, of Attica (formerly of Waterford), died Sunday (April 14, 2002).
He was born Sept. 3, 1968, in Pontiac, to Harold and Joyce (Crivea) Shenberger.
He graduated from Lapeer East High School in 1989. He was a die repairman at Talon Automotive in Oxford. He played and enjoyed Ever Quest Guild on the computer and had many friends in the Ever Quest Guild.
He is survived by his children, Alycia Marie and Kaylen, both of Lapeer; parents, Harold and Joyce Shenberger Sr.; brothers, Randall (Patricia) of Clarkston, Richard of Washington State, Harold Jr. (Tracey) of Davison and Timothy of Attica; sisters, Terry (David) Goralski of Elba and Jennifer Shenberger of Lapeer.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Funeral services were Wednesday (April 17, 2002) at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. The Rev. Arnold Bracy officiated. Burial was in the Attica Township cemetery.

Charles E. McIntyre

Charles E. McIntyre Sr., 56, of North Branch, died Sunday (April 14, 2002) at Lapeer Regional Hospital.
He was born Aug. 31, 1945, in Oxford, to Louis and Ina McIntyre. He married Patricia Schall on Nov. 16, 1962.
He was the owner and operator of C and J's Auto Repair. He enjoyed working as a mechanic and collecting die cast cars.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia of North Branch; children, Jeff (George) of North Branch, Mark (Jack) of Lapeer, Pamela McDaniel (fiancˇ, Scott Wells) of North Branch, Cindi (Larry) Bader of Marlette, Charles Jr. of Vassar; grandchildren, Jeffrey Jr. and Teena McIntyre, Michael and Kimberly McIntyre, Heather McDaniel and Anthony Wells, Daniel, Timothy and Tiffany Bader, Matthew, Justin and Kristie McIntyre; sisters, Joyce Carroll of Attica, Betty Ludwig of Dryden, Beverly Irish of Imlay City, Marge Reyes of Brown City, Bernice Hopkins of Brown City; brothers, David and Doug both of Caro; and many nieces, nephews; and lots of friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis McIntyre; mother, Ina Rathka; brothers, Leroy, Don and Jackie McIntyre.

Visitation was Wednesday (April 17, 2002) and 10-11 a.m. Thursday (April 18, 2002) at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday (April 18, 2002) at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home, North Branch. The Rev. Daniel Lashley will officiate. Burial will be in Deerfield cemetery.

Arline Elizabeth Tellier, 85, of Imlay City, died Saturday (April 13, 2002) at Lapeer Regional Hospital.
She was born Sept. 23, 1916, in Jersey City, New Jersey, to Thomas and Caroline (VanPelt) Clark. She married Robert Bains Tellier in Ellston, Md., on Nov. 19,1939.
She lived in the Imlay City area on and off for several years, most recently at Casa Maria. She worked as a sales clerk at Kohl's Dept. Store in Plymouth and Alberts Dept. Store in Allen Park. She received special care at Lapeer County Medical Care Facility.
She is survived by her sons, Robert E. (Dawn) Tellier of Ypsilanti, Clinton D. (Kristle) Tellier of Hillsdale, William M. Tellier of Midland; daughters, Jeanne Koren of Dallas, Texas, Deborah (Juan) Martinez of Imlay City, Mary "KC" Sartan of Baltimore, Md; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Tellier in 1985; her parents, and four brothers and sisters.
Visitation was Wednesday (April 17, 2002), 2-5 p.m. and 6-9 p.m., Thursday (April 18, 2002) and 9-10 a.m., Friday (April 19, 2002) at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Imlay City.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday (April 19, 2002) at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Imlay City. The Rev. Bob Tucker of the Potter's House Christian Church of Cass City will officiate. Burial will be in Fort Custer National cemetery, Battle Creek.
