Helen Mary Krajewski, 86, of Imlay City, died Thursday (Oct. 31, 2002) at home.
She was born Sept. 12, 1916, in Detroit to Florian and Waleria (Hajdo) Migda. She married Mitchell Stanley Krajewski in Detroit.
She graduated from the Academy of Felician Sisters in Hamtramck and attended Wayne State University for two years. She was the owner of Moffat's Corners Convenience Store for over 10 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She volunteered at Casa Maria and was the recording secretary for the Lady of Peace Auxiliary. She was a member of the Lamb-Steele Seniors and enjoyed line dancing.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Dr. Robert) O'Bryan of Lapeer; and grandchildren, Kristole Ann Ruzycki, William (Melissa) O'Bryan, Maureen O'Bryan, Kathleen O'Bryan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell Stanley Krajewski in 1972; and her daughter, Mary Anne Ruzycki in 1998.
Funeral services were Monday (Nov. 4) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Imlay City. The Rev. Ezequiel Mondragon officiated.

Lucille Querio, 78, of Lapeer, died Thursday (Oct. 31, 2002).
She was born Feb. 8, 1924, in Metamora to Forrest and Lutie (Johnson) Teays.
She was the bookkeeper at Bessettes for 40 years. She owned Eldon's Beauty Salon for 20 years. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Lapeer Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie. She was a Girl Scout Co-Leader.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Debra) Querio of Paw Paw, Susie (Jerry) Johnson of Davison and Walter (Darlene) Querio of Holly; grandchildren, Colin, Derek, Amanda, Matthew, Jay, Michelle, Alise and Melinda; great-grandchildren, Brent, Danielle, Erik, Zac, Brandon; brothers, Al Teays of Pontiac andGale Teays; several nieces and nephews; and her extended family, the Bessette gang.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Evans; second husband, Walter Querio; special friend, Marv Kurek; siblings, John Teays, Jim Teays, Woodrow Teays, Goodie Teays, Henry Teays, Sis Peters and Pauline Schafers; and her parents.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Funeral services were Saturday (Nov. 2) at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. The Rev. Stazen officiated. Burial was in Attica cemetery, Attica.

Carol M. Amante, 60, of Brown City, died Thursday (Oct. 31, 2002).
She was born July 19, 1942.
She is survived by her husband, Carlo Amante of Brown City; children, April (Joe) Majchszak of Clinton Township, and Donald Amante of Lapeer.
She was preceded in death by her son, Carlo Amante in 1998.

Kevin Russell Brown

Kevin Russell Brown, 37, of Lapeer, died Wednesday (Oct. 31, 2002).
He was born Aug. 23, 1965, in Lapeer to Gary and Carol (Anderson) Brown.
He loved animals and walking in the woods. He also enjoyed writing poetry and one special song.
He is survived by his parents, Gary and Carol Anderson of Lapeer; brothers, Gerald Brown of Lapeer and Brian Brown of Lapeer; and nephews, Billy Smith and Ryan Smith.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Frederick Anderson.

Shirley E. Everett

Midland
Shirley E. (Lindsay) Everett, 90, of Midland, died Oct. 30, 2002.
She was born Sept. 17, 1912, in Genesee County to Ray and Zetta (Winship) Lindsay. She married Robert B. Everett.
She lived in Kalamazoo and Flint prior to moving to Midland in 1950. After locating in Midland, she supported her husband and his endeavors to establish Everett Carpet Co. She was a long time member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the AAUW, King's Daughters and Son's and the Midland Country Club. She was a patron of the arts and an avid bridge player. She was seen by many, over the years, riding her bicycle around Midland visiting her friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and all those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children, Robert L. (Dorothy) Everett of Midland, Tom B. (Joan) Everett of Midland, Phillip R. (Joan) Everett of Midland, Texas, David J. (Candace) Everett of Chicago, Ill., and Nancy G. (Patrick) Bollman of Canadian Lakes; 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Malcom Stephens of Fife Lake and Cape Canaveral, Fla.

Funeral services were Saturday (Nov. 2) at Memorial Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Wallace H. Mayton III officiated. Burial was in Midland City cemetery.

Madeline W. (Blonde) Flanigan-Lange, 79, of Orlando, Fla. (formerly of Mayville), died Wednesday (Oct. 30, 2002) at Sandlake Hospital in Orlando, Fla.
She was born Aug. 5, 1923, in Lapeer to Clarence and Eva (Schroder) Blonde.
She lived in Mayville for many years and recently moved to Florida. She was a past member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mayville. She enjoyed needlepoint, gambling and loved her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann (Jerry) Saul of Orlando, Fla.; many grandchildren; brother, Robert Blonde of Santa Barbara, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas Francis Flanigan and William Lange.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mayville Library.
Visitation was Sunday (Nov. 3) at Avram Funeral Home, Mayville and 10 a.m. Monday (Nov. 4) at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
A Scripture service was Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Rick Bokinskie and Sister Ruth Adamites will officiate. Burial will be in Rich Township cemetery.

Floyd Richard Waterman

Brown City
Floyd "Dick" Richard Waterman, 55, of Brown City (formerly of Almont), died Tuesday (Oct. 29, 2002).
He was born April 19, 1947, in Fostoria to Grant L. and Agnes J. (Flanagan) Waterman.
He served in the Army, and was stationed in Germany.
He is survived by his siblings, Rebecca (Dale) Greenman of Fostoria, Linda Smith of Lake Orion, Diane Waterman, Wendy (Dan) Wells of North Branch, Terry (Janine) Waterman of Utica, Larry Waterman of Brown City, Jim (Becky) Waterman of North Branch, and Rhonda (Dave) Spano of Almont; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Michael and Grant.
Visitation was Wednesday (Oct. 30) at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Cremation followed the visitation.

Robert Smith
Died: Tuesday, October 29, 2002
Age: 58
Kings Mill
Robert Smith, 58, of Kings Mill, died Tuesday (Oct. 29, 2002).
He was born May 28, 1944 to Myrl and Florence (Snover) Smith. He married Sandy at Liberty Street Gospel on April 11, 1964.
He attended Kings Mill School and North Branch High School. He retired from Pontiac Motors' engineering department in 1995 after 30 years of service. In June 1985, he purchased Smitty's Market and Gun Shop. He sold the market and moved Smitty's Gun Shop next door, where he enjoyed spending time repairing and selling guns. He loved to work on his convertible, and he enjoyed having hot dog roasts and wagon rides with his grandchildren and family. He was very active with the North Branch Lions, and was president of the club from 1987 to 1988. He was also a member of the North Branch United Methodist Church. He was a very giving, caring person, and will be missed not only by his family, but by the entire community.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy; daughters, Brenda (Roque) DeLeon of Clarkston, Janette (Joe) Wilcox of Otter Lake, Charlene (John) Parsons of North Branch and Darlene Smith of North Branch; son, Robert Jr. (Holly) Smith of North Branch; mother, Florence Smith of Lum; grandchildren, Krystal, Jake, Tom, Dylan Pridemore, Jessica, Allison Wilcox, William Grossbaur, and Katie Smith; brothers, Larry (Shirley) Smith of North Branch, Gerald (Sharon) Smith of Barbeau, William (Barb) Smith of Attica, Tom Smith of Lapeer, Donald (Carol) Smith of North Branch and Glenn (Karen) Smith of Attica; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, step-father, Duane; parents-in-law, Harold and Ila Kay Scramlin; nieces, Stacy Smith and Joanne Smith; nephew, Glenn Smith; sister-in-law, Karen Smith; and special friend, Bill Smoke.
