George E. Rodgers
CLINTON, MI
George E. Rodgers, age 64, of Clinton, MI, died September 4, 2007 at Veterans Hospital, Ann Arbor.
He was born September 3, 1943 in Endicott, New York.
He was the adopted son of George and Lillian (Rixom) Rodgers. On October 16, 1993 he married Georganna Burns in Clinton, MI. She survives.
He was retired from Johnson Controls.
In addition to his wife Georganna Rodgers, he is survived by four children, Laura (John) Parker of Ann Arbor, Eddie (Angie) Rodgers of Britton, Nick Rodgers of Lansing and Mary (Steve) Payne of Milan, 10 grandchildren, Robyn, Chelsea, Nicholas, Chris, Tasha, Trevor, Kayle, Rachel, Elaina, and Luke; two great grandchildren, Kaitlynn and Kyle; and one brother John Whittaker of Endicott, NY.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Sharon Benham.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday. September 7, 2007, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh, MI, with Rev. Lloyd Jewett officiating.
Interment will follow at Ridgeway cemetery with military honors conducted by the #176 Clinton American Legion Post.
Visitation will be also on Friday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh, MI
Henry C. Friday
ADDISON
Henry C. Friday, age 46, of Addison, passed away September 5, 2007 of cancer, at home surrounded by his family.
He was born December 8, 1960, in Tecumseh, MI, the son of Donald and Evelyn (Zimmerman) Friday. On July 25, 1981, he married Linda Loomis at St. Joseph Shrine, Brooklyn.
Henry was employed with ADCO Products, Michigan Center.
He enjoyed old cars, including his pride and joy 1968 Buick Electra; and country music.
In addition to his wife Linda, Henry is survived by a son, James, daughter, Renee and her fiancé Mark Alicz; mother, Evelyn Friday; 3 brothers, David, Donald (Sharon), and Gene Friday; 3 sisters, Patsy (David) Hall, Kathleen Friday and Susan Hardt; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Donald.
A Mass Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 8, 2007, at St. Joseph Catholic Shrine, Irish Hills, with Rev. Fr. Carl Simon officiating. Interment will follow at Highland cemetery, Brooklyn.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m Friday at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of funeral mass at St. Joseph Shrine, Irish Hills.
A prayer service will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Drew Woods officiating.
Felix G. Madrid
Felix G. Madrid, age 58, of Adrian, died September 15, 2007 at home. He was born May 16, 1949, in Post, TX, the son of Luis and Lola (Gutierrez) Madrid, Sr.
On October 23, 1971, he married Manula "Pat" Flores.
She survives.
In addition to his wife Pat, Felix is survived by two daughters, Tina (Joshua) Morton of Adrian, and Kristyanna "Tana" Madrid of Adrian, two grandchildren, Caleb and Sydney Morton; two sisters, Stephanie (Ruben) Flores, Sr. of Palmyra, Dee Dee V. Madrid of Adrian; two brothers, Tino (Kimo) Madrid of Toledo, and Luis (Gloria) Madrid, Jr. of Adrian, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Amador; two sisters, Sara Townsend and Anita Rios, two nephews, Daniel F. Flores, and Johnny Madrid; niece, Veronica Madrid; and a great niece.
Memorial Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday September 19, 2007 at Jesus is Lord Ministries World Outreach Center, Adrian with Pastor Pedro Valdez officiating. Arrangements by J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian.
Ray Miller Webb
MT. PLEASANT, TEXAS
Ray M. Webb, age 86, of Mt. Pleasant, TX, formerly of Tecumseh, died September 7, 2007.
He was born July 3, 1921 in Hillsdale County, MI, the son of Marion and Mary (Smith) Webb. On June 16, 1952 he married Edith M. Warren at The Church of the Nazarene, Reading, MI. She survives.
Ray was veteran of the United States Army and WWII, serving from 1942 to 1945 in the Asian Pacific Theater.
He was retired from the Tecumseh Products Company with 32 years of service.
Ray was a lifelong member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Ray loved the Lord, children, and the farm where he liked to see everything grow.
He was a foster parent to several foster kids.
In addition to his wife, Edith; Ray is survived by 2 sons, Harlan J., and Marlin R. (Rhonda); grandson, Derrick R. (Rowena) a great grandson, Noah R. Webb, all of Adrian; his sister, Dorothy (Don) Ryan of Arcadia, FL, 3 nieces, and 4 nephews.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; Milton, Earl, Elza, Orville, and Omar; sisters, Ada Stein, Olive Marsh, and Lilly Buhr; and niece Doris Barr.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh, with Rev. Jimmy Lang officiating. Interment will follow at Tipton cemetery with military honors performed by Tecumseh American Legion Post #34 and Tecumseh VFW Post #4187.
Visitation will also be on Tuesday in the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service.
Michael John Weatherford
Tecumseh, MI
Michael John Weatherford, age 27, of Tecumseh, passed away September 16, 2007.
Michael was born May 18, 1980, in Tecumseh, the son of Johnny Weatherford and Deborah (Guilford) Marty.
Michael was a student at Jackson Community College.
Michael is survived by his children Jared, Rebecca, and Chase; mother, Deborah and stepfather Glen Marty brother and sister Tyler and Kaylynn Marty; and grandmother Virginia Guilford,
He was preceded in death by his father; grandfather, and daughter Kristian.
Memorial services will be held 3:30 P. M. Saturday, September 22, 2007 at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
Omega Dowell
Tecumseh, MI
Omega Dowell, age 86, of Tecumseh, passed away September 19, 2007 at Blissfield Place. Omega was born December 27, 1920 in Harlan County, Kentucky, the daughter of Z. B. and Addie (Saylor) Muncy.
December of 1939 she married Murl Dowell in Harlan County, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on January 8, 2007.
For many years she was a volunteer for Muscular Dystrophy. She worked retail for many years prior to her retirement.
Omega is survived by children Paul (Pat) Dowell of Tecumseh and Wanda (Robert) Howard, Sr. of Livonia; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Besides her husband Murl, she was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P. M. Saturday, September 22, 2007 at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Deacons James Howard and David Conn officiating. Entombment will follow at Brookside cemetery, Tecumseh.
Visitation will be 4 - 8 P. M. Friday, September 21, 2007 at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
Robert James Raine
Tecumseh, MI
Robert James Raine, age 74, passed away September 22, 2007.
Robert was born November 23, 1932, in Arcadia, California the son of William and Ruth Ann (Kaufmann) Raine. On June 23, 1962 he married Patricia Elliott in Lincoln Park, MI.
He was a Korean War veteran serving in the U. S. Army. Robert was fortunate to have two successful careers - one being a journeyman electrician for fifty five years with the IBEW Local 58 and the second being a respected dealer of Snap- On Tools (the Snap-On Man) here in Lenawee County. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, past member of the Raisin Valley Model Railroad Club, and a participant at Freedom Christian Fellowship Ministry. He was also a member of the Lay-Z Sam's R V club and enjoyed the last nine years being a winter Texan.
In addition to his wife Patsy, he is survived by his children, Lori Cole, Lynn (Ed) Pokryfky, Mark (Kim)Raine, Vicki Nicholson, James Raine, Robert O. (Cathy) Raine, Thomas Raine, also Robert C. (Jamie) Raine; 25 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister in law, Carol Raine; son in law Greg Cole; and a granddaughter Paige Raine.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P. M. Monday, September 24, 2007 at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian with Dr. J. D. Lacey officiating. A private burial will follow. Visitation will be 6 - 9 P. M. Sunday, September 23, 2007 at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian.
Maria DeJesis Eguia Jimenez Pena "Cha Cha"

Maria Dejesus Eguia Jimenez, aka, Maria Peña. age 44 of Adrian, died September 19, 2007 after a two year battle with cancer, at home surrounded by family and friends. She was born May 7, 1963 in Adrian, MI, the daughter of Luis and Consuelo (Correa) Jimenez. She was married to Juan Peña and he survives.
Maria is survived by, 4 daughters, Jessica (Manuel) Avila of Jackson, Julie (Victor) Solis of Adrian, Jennifer (Oscar) Grimaldo of Wixom, and Angela Eguia of Adrian; 6 grandchildren, Tomas, Orlando, Vanessa, Victor, Niomi, and Nicole; brothers and sisters, Jose Luis (Alice) Jimenez of Toledo, Mary Rea of Chicago, IL, Beatrice Lopez of Chicago, IL , Oscar (Becky) Correa of Modesto, CA, Carmen (Lee) Perez of Adrian, Linda (Abel) Ballez of Phoenix, AZ, Robert Morales of Adrian, Herminia Price of Detroit, David (Tina) Jimenez of Davison, and John Jimenez of Phoenix, AZ; numerous nieces and nephews, the father of her children Rafael Cibrian Eguia and her in-laws, Jacinto of Matamaros, MX; Miguel (Esmeralda) Eguia; Alma (Manuel) Cabrera; Griselda(Ricardo) Villafranco; Juan Martin (Vanessa) Eguia; Hugo Eguia; Jose Angel (Delfina) Eguia; and Jasmine Eguia Garza.
She was preceeded in death by her parents and sister Louisa Jimenez.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10:00 a.m Saturday Sept. 22, 2007, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Adrian with Rev. Fr. Bob Schramm officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Mary Catholic cemetery, Adrian.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m Friday at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian.
