KALKASKA -- Terry E. Therrien, 48, of Kalkaska, formerly of Monroe, died of natural causes Sunday in her home.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Family of God Christian Fellowship Church.
The Rev. James Hagler will officiate.
Wolfe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born Oct. 16, 1954, in Trenton, she was the daughter of Robert and Helen (Patalan) Farnsworth.
She married Frank R. Therrien March 9, 1974, in Monroe.
Surviving are her husband; three brothers, Gary (Tina) Marut of Toledo, Robert R. (Desiree) Farmsworth of Ida and Mark (Pam) Farmsworth of Monroe, and a sister, Carol (Joe) Worosz of Wyandotte.
Michael John Cardella

TOLEDO -- Michael John Cardella, 42, of Toledo, who was born in Monroe County, died of natural causes Monday.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 tonight and Thursday at Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday.
Entombment will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park cemetery.
Born Nov. 26, 1960, he was the son of Edward and Wilma (Percy) Cardella.
He married Peggy Mitchell.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Christopher Lee Mitchell and Michael Cardella and Anthony A. Cardella; two daughters, Ranae M. Cardella and Stefanie Cardella; a brother, William (Sue) of Monroe, and two sisters, Toni Giarmo and Terri (Ken) Glupker.
Pearl Jeanette Morgan
Feb. 21, 1924-Jan. 27, 2003
Services have been set for Pearl Jeanette Morgan, 78, of Monroe, who died Monday in Longmont, Colo.
She had been ill for eight months.
Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday at Allore Funeral Home, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday.
The Rev. Gary Pickerell of Monroe Full Gospel Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle Township.
Born Feb. 21, 1924, in LaFollette, Tenn., she was the daughter of Richard and Hettie (Lanham) Perkins.
She married Tom Morgan Dec. 26, 1941.
He died Aug. 9, 1995.
Surviving are a son, Thomas (Gladis) of Monroe; three daughters, Carolyn Morgan of Grayling, Kelly Morgan of Longmont and Hedy (Hossein) Vahabzadeh of Sparta, N.J.; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Russell Pritchard

Russell Pritchard, 49, of Monroe died of natural causes at 7 a.m. Monday at Mercy Memorial Hospital.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. Friday until 7 p.m. services at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home, Huron Township.
The Rev. Don Kempin will officiate. Burial will be in Michigan Memorial Park, Huron Township.
Born Nov. 1, 1953, in Albany, Ga., he was the son of William and Geneva Pritchard.
He married Georgia Bishop June 28, 1975, in Dearborn.
Surviving are his wife; his mother; a daughter, DeAnna (Paul) Krueger of Monroe, and two brothers, Wilford Gamble of East Tawas and Douglas Pritchard of Webberville.
Sylvia Lee Johnson
Oct. 20, 1919-Jan. 29, 2003
Sylvia Lee (Sandefur) Johnson, 83, of Monroe died at 10:25 p.m. Wednesday at Mercy Memorial Nursing Center, where she had been since suffering a stroke in 1998.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight and from noon to 9 Friday at Rupp Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday.
The Rev. Larry Head, pastor of Lakeside Missionary Baptist Church, Newport, will officiate.
Burial will be in Woodland cemetery.
Born Oct. 20, 1919, in Forge Ridge, Tenn., she was the daughter of Robert and Margaret (Rice) Sandefur.
She married Spurgeon Johnson July 3, 1946, in Middlesboro, Ky.
He died June 8, 1992.
Before entering the nursing center, she made her home with her son, Glenn E. (Loretta) Sandefur of Monroe. He survives, along with two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
John Krupiak
March 15, 1915 -- Jan. 28, 2003
John Krupiak, 87, of Monroe died at 9:21 a.m. Tuesday at Maplewood Manor.
He had been in the nursing home for three weeks.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery, Flat Rock.
Rupp Funeral Home handled arrangements.
He was born March 15, 1915, in Detroit.
His first wife, Betty E., died March 30, 1973.
He married Theresa Giarmo Dec. 10, 1977.
She died July 9, 1999.
Recently, he had made his home with Jeanie Pyles.
Surviving are a stepson, Anthony (Anna) Giarmo of Las Vegas, and two stepdaughters, Patricia Kosanovich of Monroe and Tina Giarmo of Ypsilanti.
Graham J. Miller

Services have been set for Graham J. Miller, 64, of Monroe, who died at 1 a.m. Thursday in Mercy Memorial Hospital’s emergency room.
Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Allore Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday.
Chaplain James Jacobs of Mercy Memorial Hospital will officiate.
Following the service, members of Donald M. Squire Post 3943, Veterans of Foreign Wars, will conduct military services at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
Born Sept. 11, 1938, in Monroe, he was the son of Rufus and Florence (Digue) Miller.
Surviving are a son, Jason of Monroe, and a sister, Shelby (Billy) Neal of LaSalle.
Frances H. (Fye) McGraw

TEMPERANCE -- Frances H. (Fye) McGraw, 100, formerly of Swayzee, Ind., who made her home with her daughter in Temperance, died Thursday in her home.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Home, Swayzee, Ind., where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday.
Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery, Green-town, Ind.
Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
Born April 5, 1902, in Howard County, Ind., she was the daughter of Charles H. and Sarah (Vanlue) Fye.
She married Waldo McGraw Dec. 16, 1923, in Kokomo, Ind. He died Aug. 1, 1991.
Surviving are her daughter, Kay (Tom) Williams of Temperance, with whom she lived for 11 years; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
J. Gilbert Purse
Age 68, of Ypsilanti Twp., MI, formerly of Tecumseh, died February 1, 2008 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor, after a brief battle with cancer.
Gil was born December 15, 1939, in Ferndale, MI, the son of A. Gilbert and Marguerite (Richards) Purse.
He attended Olivet College and was a graduate of Wayne State University, Mortuary Science Class of 1960.
He was the owner of Peninsular Casket Company, Dearborn, MI until 1971 when he purchased Dunn Funeral Home in Tecumseh, MI and renamed it J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home shortly thereafter. Gil also began a second location of J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home in Adrian, MI in 1989, and together with his sons operated both funeral homes.
Gil was a former member of the Tecumseh Club, Tecumseh Country Club, Tecumseh Rotary Club, and Tecumseh Masonic Lodge #69 F. & A.M. Surviving are his two sons; Barry Gilbert, and Gary Gilbert and their mother Marilee; and his beloved dogs; Black Lab, "Shelby" & Yorkie, Maxwell. He was preceded in death by his father, A. Gilbert in 1988, mother Marguerite in 2000
Private burial took place in Bradenton, FL, where he loved to fish. Memorial services took place 6:00 p.m. Wednesday February 6, 2008 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh, with Rev. Lloyd Jewett officiating. A reception with food and refreshment in honor of Gil followed the service at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
