ROCKWOOD --Gladys Ann Laws, 61, of Rockwood, died at 7:05 a.m. Monday at home following a lengthy illness.
There will be no visitation. A memorial Mass will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. Marc Garonski, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in Our Lady of Hope cemetery, Brownstown Town-ship. Arrangements were made by the Ford Chapel of Allore Martenson Funeral Home, Rockwood.
Born July 8, 1941, in Waltz, she was the daughter of Frank and Mary Rita Ann (Berro) Czerwonka. She married Donald Barrie Laws Aug. 24, 1968, in Taylor.
In addition to her husband, surviving are two sons, Thomas of Rockwood and Bernard of Memphis, Tenn.; three daughters, Linda (Mark) Earley of Rockwood, Rebecca (Scott) Cook of Trenton and Angelique Laws of Grosse Ile; four brothers, Bob (Cathy) and Lewis, both of Taylor, Richard (Cindy) of Southgate and Steve of South Rockwood; three sisters, Elaine (Al) Walsh, Kathleen (Mike) Dennis and Janice (Joe) Zmijewski, all of Trenton, and seven grandchildren.
Robert T. Kehr

CAMERON, W. Va --Services have been set for Robert T. Kehr, 62, of Cameron, W. Va., whose wife was formerly of Monroe, who died at 11:20 a.m. Monday at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, Ohio.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Earle Little Funeral Home, Bacarella Chapel, where services will be held at 11. The Rev. Sally A. Martin, associate pastor of Stewart Road Church of God, will officiate. Burial will be in Erie Union cemetery, Erie Township.
Born April 18, 1940, in Tiltonsville, Ohio, he was the son of Walter Edgar and Roxie (Dawson) Kehr. He was married to Jacki S. Massingill.
In addition to his wife, surviving are a son, Robbie Kehr of Cameron; three daughters, Roxie (Charles) Cline of Fort Leonardwood, Mo., Jackie (Neal) Couillard of Germany and Ashley Kehr of Cameron; three brothers, Walter (Pam) Kehr and Bernard (Rosemary) Wallace, both of Michigan, and Donald (Andrea) Wallace of Ohio, and two sisters, Wanda Kehr and Linda Wallace, both of Florida.
Marilynn June Huepenbecker

HOLLAND, Ohio — Marilynn June Huepenbecker, 81, of Temperance died Monday at the Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek, Holland, Ohio.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at New Life Tabernacle, 6023 Summer-field Rd., Petersburg, where a memorial service will be held at 7. The Rev. Thomas Rupli, pastor of the church, will officiate. Arrangements were made by the Bedford Funeral Chapel, Temperance.
Born March 22, 1921, in Toledo, she was the daughter of Clarence and Mary (Dantzer) Wittscheck. She was married to Donald Huepenbecker for 29 years until his death in March, 1972.
Surviving are a son, Marc (Patricia) of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; a daughter, Jana (Mike) Levandoski of Temperance, and three granddaughters.
Hollis Lambert

OREGON, Ohio --Hollis Lambert, 38, of Oregon, formerly of Monroe, died Sunday in his home. He had suffered from cancer.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Hoeflinger Funeral Home in Oregon. Graveside services will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday at Riverside cemetery, Maumee, Ohio.
Born Jan. 14, 1964, in Monroe, he was the son of Buford and Elsie Lambert.
Surviving are his father; four brothers, David L. of Monroe, Oddis J., of Adrian, Roger W. (Lauralee) of Lincoln Park and Lonnie G. of Monroe, and two sisters, Gloria M. (Greg) Richardson of Monroe and Julie M. Lambert of Findlay, Ohio.
Anna Louette Fuller
OAK HILLS, Calif. --Anna Louette Fuller, 56, of Oak Hills, whose son lives in Ottawa Lake, died Monday in her home. She had suffered from a lung disease.
Friends may call from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Desert View Funeral Home, California, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Dennis Bentley will officiate.
Surviving are her husband, Ernest A.; two sons, including Ernest A. II of Ottawa Lake, and five grandchildren.
William M. Philp Jr.

William Merrill Philp Jr., 71, of Monroe died at 9 p.m. Tuesday in his home. He had been in poor health.
Friends may call from noon until services at 2 p.m. Friday at Allore Funeral Home. The Rev. David Kopka, pastor of Bible Fellowship Church, LaSalle, will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
Born May 1, 1931, in Caldwell, Texas, he was the son of William and Mary Beth (Mueller) Philp Sr.
Surviving are two sons, Randy Lewis of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Ronnie Lewis of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Mary Lewis of Texas and Julia Lewis of San Jose, Calif.; a sister, Marilyn (Anton) Hauschild of Kansas City, Kan., and three grandchildren.
Catherine M. Gross

Catherine Margaret Gross, 89, of Monroe died at 6:20 a.m. Wednesday at TenderCare of Monroe. She had been ill for two months.
Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Allore Funeral Home, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Terrence Kerner, pastor of St. John Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery.
Born Sept. 16, 1913, in Monroe, she was the daughter of John and Margaret (Kiley) Corcoran. She married William Franklin Gross, and he preceded her in death.
Surviving are five sons, Bill (Sharry), John (Deborah), James (Opal) and Robert, all of Newport, and Thomas (Bonnie) of South Rockwood; two daughters, Rita Gross and Rosemary Gross, both of Monroe; 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Robert L. Young, 87, of Monroe died Tuesday at Mercy Memorial Hospital.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from noon to 9 p.m. Friday at Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Flat Rock, where Masonic services will begin at 7 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Dr. Joseph Byrd, pastor of Church of God, will officiate. Burial will be in Michigan Memorial Park, Huron Township.
Born Oct. 16, 1915, in Monticello, Ky., he was the son of Solomon and Myrtie (Dagley) Young. He married Leora Shepard in 1938 in London, Ky. She died Dec. 17, 1993.
Surviving are a son, William (Vicky) of Monroe; two daughters, Alice (Frank) Schembri of Taylor and Joyce (Jerry) Kirby of West Virginia; three half-sisters, Wanda Louis, Betty Kieth and Willie Orloff, all of Cincinnati; 11 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Harold R. Brown

Harold R. Brown, 81, of Monroe died Monday in Tucson, Ariz., while on vacation there.
Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Friday at Rupp Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Leon Roman, pastor of Seventh-day Adventist Church, will officiate. Following the service, members of Monroe Post 1138, Veterans of Foreign Wars, will conduct services, also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridgeway cemetery, Ridgeway.
Born July 27, 1921, in Urania, he was the son of Earl and Florence (Powell) Brown. He married Clara M. Daykin Aug. 15, 1947, in Dundee. She died Nov. 19, 2000.
Surviving are two sons, Richard H. (Elaine) of Ida and Brian E. of Greenwood, Ind.; three daughters, Suzanne M. Brown, Brenda J. (Dave) Wilkenson of Hunstville, Ohio, and Bethann L. (Tracy) Benson of Monroe; three brothers, Earldean of Mesa, Ariz., Julian of Dundee and Floyd of Forest Park, Ga.; 15 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Clarence M. Straub

SOUTH ROCKWOOD --Clarence Marvin Straub, 76, of South Rockwood died Monday in his home.
No visitation or services have been planned. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery, Maybee. Michigan Memorial Funeral Home, Flat Rock, is in charge of arrangements.
Born Dec. 5, 1925, in Detroit, he was the son of Clarence and Nellie (Reaume) Straub. He married Patricia Joy Gault in 1946 in Detroit.
Surviving are three sons, Edwin J., Robert L. and Brian J.; a daughter, Cathy Jo VerDoot; four grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.

TEMPERANCE --Services have been set for Frederick G. Hughes, 80, of Temperance, who died Tuesday at Toledo Hospital.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Bedford Funeral Chapel, where a scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday; recitation of the rosary, by members of Knights of Columbus, will follow the scripture service. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home and at 10 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. The Rev. Steve Vileo will officiate. Burial will be in the church’s cemetery.
Born Jan. 14, 1922, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of William and Emma (Durschel) Hughes. He married Marcella M. Nagel Oct. 8, 1949, in Angola, Ind.
Surviving are his wife; eight sons, Frederick Jr. of Toledo, Ronald (Judy) of Ida Township, Rick (Vicky) of Lambertville, David (Julie) of Bowling Green, Ohio, Gary (Dee) of Jerome, Jeffrey (Tracy) of Holland, Ohio, Scott (Dawn) of Ida Township and Steven (Kelli) of Swanton, Ohio; three daughters, Laura (Donald) Eichenberg of Sylvania, Ohio, Peggy (Larry) Goss of Metamora, Ohio, and Jeanne (Harold) McCracken of Monroe; 25 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

MANITOU BEACH, --Services have been set for Thomas McCaig, 37, of Lenawee County who died Monday when he was struck by a vehicle in Huron Township.
Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home, Huron Township where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Michael Bright will officiate.
Born June 5, 1965, he was the son of Hartley J. and Phyllis (Pegg) McCaig. He made his home with April.
He is survived by his mother, a daughter, Nicole; two brothers, Hartley (Karla) Jr. and John McCaig, and a sister, Marietta McCaig.
Nellie Cardwell Eastridge Hoy

WYANDOTTE --Nellie Cardwell Eastridge Hoy, 83, of Wyandotte, formerly of Rockwood, died of a stroke at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in her home.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral services.
Born Jan. 29, 1919, in Sivier County, Tenn., she was the daughter of Andrew and Ida (Cook) Vance. She married Vincent Cardwel. He died July 25, 1948. She also married Vernon Eastridge. He died Jan. 24, 1974. She then married William Hoy. He died Oct. 11, 1995.
She is survived by three sons, William (Aileen) Cardwell of Serville, Tenn., Vernon (Laura) Eastridge and Jay Eastridge, both of Wyandotte; 19 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
