GOYETTE, HAROLD A.; 79; of St. Clair; died Tuesday, February 17, 2009. Mr. Goyette owned and operated the Goyette Funeral Home in Clarkston for 43 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was past president of the Clarkston Rotary, was a member of Clarkston Campbell-Richmond Post #63 American Legion, Cedar Lodge #60 F. & A.M., and had been a volunteer fireman with the Independence Township Fire Department for 23 years. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Norma; a daughter, Debara (Jerry) Stager; a son, Terry (Robin) Goyette; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a sister, Lela (Stan) Blair. Visitation will be 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Marysville Funeral Home, 1200 Michigan Avenue, Marysville. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2009 in Marysville Funeral Home. Mr. Larsen retired as an inspector from General Motors and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Loving son of Delores Eschendal and the late Jerry; dear brother of Jerry Michael (Elia) Eschendal, Cynthia Eschendal, Karen Neiter, Tom Eschendal, Steve (Lafon) Eschendal, Tamera Eschendal, Teresa Burcham, Daniel (Amanda) Eschendal and James Eschendal; also missed by 14 nieces and nephews; 5 grand nephews; and many dear friends. Mr. Eschendal was a builder and installer with Beaver Stair in Oxford. He was a proud American and was a devoted member of the National Rifle Association. WOOD, VIRGINIA LEE; passed away; January 29, 2009; former Pontiac resident. She was born October 2, 1916 in La Harpe, IL. She was employed at Baldwin Rubber Co. in Pontiac, where she met her husband, Harry Joseph Wood, a chemist. Virginia was a member of the Presbyterian Church. In 1960, they moved to Long Beach, CA. She remained there until moving to Bishop in 2006. Virginia is survived by her two daughters, Joanne Wood Parsons of Bishop, CA, and Barbara Wood Mills of Grand Blanc, and their respective families; including three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

JOHNSON, IRENE L.; age 83; the Lord wanted another angel, so Irene went to be with him on February 26, 2009. Irene was a beloved wife, lover and best friend of Chester for 53 years; loving sister to Dean (Caroline) Fowler and Diane (Douglas) Smith; also survived by her sister-in-law, Ardis Sich; she will always be loved and missed by her sweetheart dog, Holly. Irene loved to bake cakes for everyone. She was a member of the Highland V.F.W. Auxiliary #9914, and a member of the Highland Eagles #4076 Auxiliary. Irene was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Milford. BEEDLE, MEGHAN C. of Clarkston. Died suddenly of mononucleosis at 18 years of age. Loving daughter of Brad and Sandy Beedle. Also survived by many cousins. Meghan was a 2003 graduate of Waterford Kettering High School and had completed her first year at Michigan State University. She was completing an internship at Disney World, FL when she became ill. She was a tennis player in high school and was on the rowing team at MSU. Meghan was a highly motivated and intelligent person who will be missed by so many family and friends. BROWN, ROBERT E. of Waterford. August 3, 2004 at 75 years of age. Loving husband of Arlene for 55 years. Dear father of Sharon (Doug) Agren of Lewiston, Neil Robert Brown of GA, Ronald Bruce (Theresa) Brown of White Hall, Diane Marie (Roger) Haworth of Lewiston, Dennis Paul (Pamela) Brown of NC and Cary Scott Brown of Novi. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Robert was a member of Grace Lutheran Church since 1948. He had a great sense of humor and was a huge prankster who loved and adored his family. Robert was proud to be an Eagle Scout. He loved the outdoors and especially liked to work in his yard. ARTHUR, PAUL W. of Clarkston died suddenly January 7, 2005 at 75 years of age. Beloved husband of Emily for 54 years. Dearest father of Elizabeth (Andrew) Arthur, Gwendolynn (Thomas) Arthur, Lynda (Kirk) Witherell, Paul (Terry) Arthur, Laurence (Krysten) Arthur and the late Virginia Arthur; brother of Perley (Polly) Arthur and Laurie (Paul) Walker; also survived by 4 grandchildren. A graduate of Harvard University, Paul retired from the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Community Presbyterian Church and an avid golfer.

BANFIELD, JOYCE C. of Brighton died suddenly January 14, 2005 in Ft. Myers, Florida. Loving wife of Richard “Dick” Banfield for 43 years. Dearest mother of Jon (Amy) Banfield of Pinckney, James (Michelle) Banfield of Ann Arbor, Timothy (Michelle) Banfield of Cape Coral, Florida and Kristine (Christopher) Carter of Davison; wonderful grandmother of Angela, Meghan, R.J., Joshua, Nathaniel, Mickala, Anna, Alexis, and Austin; sister of Carol (Roger) Carr and Ila Jean (the late Edward) Graham. Joyce was a 1959 graduate of Waterford High School. She married Dick in 1962 and they raised their family in Waterford, Clarkston, Ann Arbor, Tennessee and finally Brighton. She lovingly lived her life for her husband, her children and her grandchildren.

BRANDT, JERALDINE ELIZABETH of Auburn Hills. January 4, 2005 at 61 years of age. Wife of the late Stanley Brandt. Sister of June Hobby and John “Jack” Hobby and the late Clark and Jim Hobby. BRYANT, HERBERT formerly of Waterford, January 16, 2005 at 74 years of age. Husband of the late Marlene K. (1989). Loving father of Kelly (Brenda) Bryant, Michael (Pam) Bryant, Carolyn (Scott) Huff, Duane (Pamela) Bryant, Kimberly (Chris) Raptoulis, Keith (Becky) Bryant and Scott (Lora) Bryant. Beloved brother of Bertha (Bob), Lilly (Bill) Wilson and Kelley Bryant Jr. Also survived by 21 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren with one on the way. Mr. Bryant loved his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing. Mr. Bryant retired from Pontiac Motors in 1989 after 37 years of service.
