Perry St., There will no public viewing. Mr. Wilford F. Corkey Hughes, Jr. was born September 3, 1955 in Detroit, MI, he was the eldest of eight children. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age. After graduating from Pontiac Northern High School, Corkey chose to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army. After his service to his country, Corkey sought employment at Ford Motor Company, and he began work at the assembly plant in Wixom, Michigan, that s until his illness. Mr. Hughes leaves to cherish his memory, son, Wilford Hughes III; mother, Doris Hughes; seven siblings, Moya Hughes, Dorothy (Willie) Williams, Carmen (DuWayne) Smith, Katherine (Collins) Anderson, Karen (Paul) Buford, Mitchell Hughes, Kevin (Maria) Hughes; and many loving nephews, nieces, other relatives and dear friends. Mr. Hughes was preceded in death by his father, Wilford Frank Hughes, Sr.

PATAK, ELEANOR "ELLIE"; age 83; of Northville; passed away peacefully on December 14, 2008. She was born August 22, 1925 in Detroit to Frank and Rose (Ryktarsyk) Narkun. She graduated from St. Hedwig High School in 1944. Eleanor was united in marriage to Frank Patak on April 19, 1947; they spent 61 loving years together. She moved to Northville in 1978; she was previously from Southfield and Detroit. Ellie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Often she would be seen at basketball games or PTA events actively supporting her family and friends. She was everybody's "Grandma". She enjoyed playing bingo and being a busy homemaker. Eleanor is survived by her beloved husband Frank Patak; her children, George Patak and Barbara Patak-Flis; her grandchildren, Sarah Patak, Megan Patak, Julie Flis, and Mary Flis; her sister Rosemary (Jerry) Komendera; her brother-in-law Ted Kaminsky; her sister-in-law Helen Woszczyna; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Dolores Kaminsky and her daughter-in-law Virginia Patak. Visitation will be held Wednesday from Noon to 6 p.m. with the Funeral Service at 6 p.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, Inc. 122 W. Dunlap, Northville. WILSON, ALONZO LACY; 1SG Ret., U.S. Army; of Evans, GA; went to be with his Lord Sunday, December 14, 2008, at his residence; age 61; husband of Royce Ann Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a native of Pontiac, MI, and had resided the past 7 years in Evans. He was a graduate of Waterford High School class of 1966 and attended Bible College in Arlington, TX. Mr. Wilson was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and retired after 20 years. He was a recipient of the Valor of Victor award, a Bronze Star for Valor; decorated over 30 times; received the Meritorious Service medal, expert marksman and expert driver. Mr. Wilson was a soul winner who loved his country very, very much and loved God more. He was a youth minister at Faith Baptist Church in Waterford, MI, and was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Evans, GA. He stated "God first, family second, I am third." Family members in addition to his wife include daughter and son-in-law, Kristi Ann Wilson-Ballard and James of Tampa, FL; son, Kyle Lacy Wilson of Mesa, AZ; stepdaughter, Tina Michelle Catalano of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Austin James Barckholtz, Tressa Lynn McDonalds and Emily Jean Cederburge; brothers and sister-in-law: Steven and Cathy Wilson and David Wilson; and sister, Brenda Joyce Wilson-Courter. BENEDICT, KAROLINE; aged 80; of Saranac; passed away January 19, 2009. She was born February 17, 1928 in Gross Pointe, MI, the daughter of Joseph and Pelagia Biernacki. She married Roger Benedict, November 27, 1999 at LeValley Church. Karoline is survived by her loving husband of 9 years Roger Benedict of Saranac; step-daughter Heather Marie and Mire Hull of Oxford; grandchildren Haley and Christa; brother Roy Biernacki of Clinton Township; sisters Eleanor Carey of Livonia, and Adrienne and Harold Klumpp of Arlington Hgts., IL; and several nieces and nephews. HARRELL, LILLIAN MARY (COFFEY); 88; of Thorn Hill, TN; entered eternal life on January 27, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tarrence and Susan (Rucker) Coffey, her husband of 55 years, Elvin L. Harrell, infant daughter, Lela Sue Harrell, sisters, Kathleen Rucker (Coffey), brother, Torrance Avery Coffey. She is survived by her children, daughters, Alice Willett and Susan Shorbe and son, Elbert (Elaine) Harrell; grandsons, Michael (Michelle) Harrell, Craig (Patty) Harrell, James Harrell, John (Denise) Shorbe, Jason (Teresa) Shorbe; and granddaughters, Amy (Rodney) (Willett) Winstead, and Laura (Chris) (Harrell) Dorcey; she has 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; she is also survived by sisters, Juanita Long and Delta Dalton; and brothers, Samuel (Lena Faye) Coffey and William (Mary Lou) Coffey; many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly including her niece, Kathy Rucker Coffey; and special friend, Jan Fields. Lillian was retired from GM Truck and Coach and lived in Waterford, Michigan where she made many life-long friends. She loved to travel and tend her flowers and various crafting projects. The family would like to thank all of those who cared for her at UT Medical Center and St. Mary s Medical Center with special thanks to William D. Black, M.D. who was her physician for many years and showed her great care and compassion.
