CARREL - Geraldine L. "Geri" Carrel, age 78, of Wyoming, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 21, 2011. Geri was a member of the Gideons Auxiliary and volunteered with Mel Trotter Ministries for 30 years. She also worked at Rogers Department Store for 14 years. Surviving are her husband of 55 years, John; her children, Rev. Jim (Cary) Carrel, Dan (Bonny) Carrel, John Carrel, Tim Carrel; 14 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Rosie (Harry) Bloem. The Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, at Heritage Baptist Church, 1570 60th St. SE, with her pastor, Dr. E.H. "Bo" Moore, her son, Rev. Jim Carrel, and her grandson, Pastor Joe Carrel officiating. Interment in Garfield Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideons.

DOYLE - Melissa Ann Doyle, age 41, of Kentwood, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 26, 2011. Melissa enjoyed crocheting and other crafts. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. Surviving are her husband of 11 years, Rick; her son Dillion; father, Hardy (Sharon) Faircloth; sister, Leslie (Nicky) Selph; brother, Sonny Faircloth; grandfather, James Littleford; six brothers-in-law, a sister-in-law, and their spouses; several nieces and nephews. Her mother, Margaret Faircloth, and mother-in-law, Nona Doyle, preceded her in death. A family service will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2011. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Melissa may be made to the family to help with expenses.

Trenton Michael Daylus Carney

CARNEY - Trenton Michael Daylus Carney, age 2, of Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 17, 2011. He was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Rudy Halford. He is survived by his mother, Amber Halford; his father, Michael Carney; grandparents, Michael and Kameo Halford, Kelli Kline, Kim Carney; great grandparents, Robert and Darlene Kline, Addy Halford, and many aunts and uncles. Memorial contributions in memory of Trenton may be given to Trenton Carney Memorial Account at any 5/3 Bank. Private services will be held. Interment in Winchester Cemetery.

PRYSLEK - Carolyn Marie (Pitt) Pryslek, age 36, of Saranac, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2011. She was preceded in death by her sister, Roberta Pitt. Surviving are her children, Ashallie, Aleighsha, Nickolaus; her parents, Robert and Sandra Pitt; sister, Georgia (John) Tyler; and grandmother, Ruth Pitt. A Memorial Service will be held 6 PM Wednesday, June 8, at Caledonia American Legion Post #305, 9548 Cherry Valley Ave. SE, Caledonia, 49316.

WARSEN - John Warsen, age 93, of Byron Center, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, May 24, 2011. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Stena. John is survived by his wife, Grace; his children, Donna (Ken) Van Iddekinge, Lee Warsen, David (Mary) Warsen, Ila (Tom) Wilson; 28 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; his step-children, Barbara (Thomas) Park, Jean Brink, John (Sue) Pluger, Ken (Julie) Pluger, Henry (Cheryl) Pluger; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Harriet Kuipers, Jeannette "Jo" Koetje, Mae Kuipers, Jim (Harriet) Kuipers, Gladys Kuipers, Rich (Agnes) Euwema, and Don Kuipers. The Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, May 27, at Cutlerville East Christian Reformed Church, 501 68th St. SE; with Pastor Bill Renkema officiating. Interment in Blain Cemetery. Contributions in memory of John may be given to South Christian High School or C.R.W.R.C. Disaster Response Services.

KUIPER - Donna Kuiper, our loving daughter and sister, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2010, at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods in Byron Center, MI, after suffering from a brief illness. She was born October 21, 1953, in Racine, WI, and lived on the family farm as a child. She attended Racine Christian Grade School and J. I. Case High School. In her 20's she moved to Michigan and spent most of her adult life in the Grand Rapids area. Donna is survived by her parents, Art and Helena Kuiper of Mount Vernon, WA; her sisters and brother and their spouses, Jerry and Barbara VanVliet, Mount Vernon, WA, Mike and Bev Mulder, Prinsburg, MN, Henry and Jeanne Annema, Sedro Woolley, WA, and Art and Robyn Kuiper, St. Louis, MO. She also leaves behind fourteen nephews and nieces. One brother, Frank Kuiper, preceded her in death. Donna always loved to sing and now she sings with the angels. A family graveside service will be held on Friday, May 20 at 2:30 p.m. at Graceland Cemetery in Racine, WI. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 21, at 11:30 a.m. at the Racine Christian Reformed Church, 900 Illinois Ave. Memorials are suggested to Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods, 8214 Pfeiffer Farms Dr. SW, Byron Center, MI 49315. "He will raise you up on eagles wings, make you to shine like the sun and hold you in the palm of his hand."

REEDER - Paul M. Reeder, Jr. age 68, of Wyoming, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2011. Paul retired from C & O Railways after many years of service. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him including his wife, Dorothy (Sullivan); daughter, Angeline Mae Reeder; son, Paul M. Reeder III; his mother, Elaine Reeder; brothers and sisters, Frank (Barbara) Reeder, Thomas (Michele) Reeder, Daniel (Karen) Reeder, Renna deJager, Joseph (Rebecca) Reeder, Lois Clement, David Reeder; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jean (Dan) Bileth, Dan (Jan) Sullivan, Toni LaBrash, Debbie Ashby, Shelley Sullivan; several nieces and nephews. Preceding Paul in death are his father, Paul; brother, George; Dorothy's parents, Melvin Cleo, Lillian and Walter Sullivan; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Donnie and Bob Stepniak, Kenneth Sullivan, and Dale LaBrash. The Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, May 23, at Stroo Funeral Home, with Rev. James Ankerberg officiating. Interment in Kent Memorial Gardens.

ZWIER - Peter Junior Zwier, age 83, of Hudsonville, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 21, 2011. Peter proudly served his country in both the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Army. He continued his life of service by working in finance and administration for the American Cancer Society for 30 years. An avid sports fan, Peter enjoyed attending the sporting events of his children and grandchildren. He had a wonderful sense of humor and often brought smiles and laughter to those around him. His love for his family and the Lord was evident in all he did. Peter was preceded in death by two sisters, Marcia Zwier and Marilyn Overzet. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Lorraine (nee Jongert); his children, Dr. Peter (Julie) Zwier, Dr. Phillip (Sandra) Zwier, David (Deborah) Zwier, John (Ester) Zwier; his grandchildren, Laura (Ryan) Truer, Mike Zwier, Kate Zwier, Kelly (David) Janke, Ryan Zwier, Danielle (Craig) Akers, Derek Zwier, Hannah Zwier; a great granddaughter, Addison Jane Truer; his twin brother, Paul (Eleanor) Zwier; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harold Overzet, Tom (Janet) Jongert, Lois (Neal) Bykerk, Mildred (Ernie) Scheltema, Beatrice (Bill) Boorsma; many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 26, at LaGrave Avenue Christian Reformed Church, 107 LaGrave Ave. SE, with Rev. John Steigenga officiating. Interment in Georgetown Twp. Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to C.R.W.R.C.
