CHERYL ANNE VITALE
Cheryl Anne Vital, 49, of Sandusky, died Sunday, July 14, 2002 at her home in Sandusky, MI.
She was born August 20, 1952 in Detroit, MI. the daughter of the late James and Beverly (Cuson) Neidy.

She was a graduate of Franklin High School in Livonia and moved to this area 10 years ago from Walled Lake. She worked for 10 years as the office manager for Dr. Isterabadi in Marlette.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph; one son, Jaimson & Amy Vital of Clarkston; one daughter, LeeAnne & David Walker of White Wake; two brothers, Kevin Neidy of White Lake and Dennis Neidy of Livonia; one sister, Robyn Nicholson of Westland;and five grandchildren, Derek, Mira, Madeline, Savannah, and Jonah. She was preceded in death by a brother, Scott.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at 11:00 am at Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette with Rev. Kenneth Parker officiating. Burial was in the Greenwood cemetery in Sandusky. Memorial requests to United Hospice.

JOHN J. POLLAK
A memorial service for John J. Pollak, 55, of Harrison, formerly of Marlette, will be conducted Monday, July 8, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Redford Presbyterian Church, 22122 W. McNichols, (between Telegraph and Evergreen) Detroit.
He was the beloved husband of Linda, brother of the late Steve and step-brother of John (Mary) Ode. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Contributions may be made to the Harrison Moose Lodge.

Arrangements by Charles Step Funeral Home, Redford Township, MI. (313-531-1888).

ROSALYN M. BROWN
Rosalyn M. Brown, 92, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2002.
She was born August 29, 1909 in Fowler, MI. the daughter of Frank A. and Rose A. (Thelan) Wieber.

She graduated from Fowler High School and attended Lansing Business University.

On October 6, 1921, she married Walter Patrick Brown in Fowler and he preceded her in death on March 3, 1987.

Mrs. Brown came to Ypsilanti in 1935, where her husband became manager of the Ypsilanti Farm Bureau from 1935-1974. In 1974, they moved to Marlette, MI and after his death, Mrs. Brown moved to Portage.

She was a member of St. Catherine of Sienna in Portage.

Survivors include two sons, Charles (Shirley) of Elkhart, IN and Michael (Helen) of Ann Arbor; two daughters, Jean (Robert) Eberts of Ypsilanti and Susan (Dr. Thomas) Kavanaugh of Kalamazoo; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Carl and Leon Wieber, both of Fowler; two sisters, Terese Weber of Fowler and Judy (Jesse) Costello of Lansing and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Patrick, in 1975, two brothers an two sisters.

Funeral mass was held Monday, July 1 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Burial followed in St. John cemetery.

Contributions may be made to the St. John Building Fund. Envelopes are available at Stark Funeral Service Moore Memorial Chapel.

RUSSELL AUDIA
Russell Audia, 76, of Hemans, MI. passed away in his home on Thursday, June 27, 2002, with his family by his side.
He was born March 7, 1926, in Wheeling, West Virginia son to the late Salvordor and Maria (Marrah) Audia.

He married Joan Smith on June 28, 1954 in Detroit, MI.

He was a Naval Veteran of WWII and a member of the VFW. He retired as a Sergeant from the Detroit Police Dept. in 1974. In addition to being a member of the D.P.O.A., he was a proud member of the Masons.

He is survived by his wife Joan; two sons: Ron Gensler of Warren; Ray Audia of Imlay City; two daughters: Debbie (Dick) Kenny-Black of Snover; Marie (Ed) Ellsworth of Grass Lake; three grandsons Brian Kenny, Doug and Greg Ellsworth; 3 sisters: Antionette Teany (Benny) Garnetti; Christina (Bill) Hungate; Virginia (Ray) Kapcia and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and four sisters.

Cremation has taken place at the Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City, Michigan.

By his own request no funeral or memorial service will be held.

Memorials may be given to the United Hospice Service.

The family of Russell would like to extend a heart felt thank you to the wonderful individuals of Hospice.

JOHN GEORGE WIATER
Loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather John George Wiater died at the age of 80 on Friday, June 28, 2002 in Bradenton, Florida.
He was born on October 11, 1921 in Hamtramck, Michigan, son to the late Kazimierz and Aniela (Mikrut) Wiater.

On January 3, 1948, he married Alice Marine Januszek.

He worked for General Motors A. C. Spark Plug in Flint, Michigan until his retirement.

He served his country in the U. S. Army Medical Corp during WWII.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 457 in North Branch and Polish American Club of Caro.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Alice; two daughters, Angela Wilcox of Clifford and Mary (Marvin) Wilcox of Clifford; one son, John (Karen) Wiater of Lake Orion, MI.; five grandchildren, Melissa (Kevin) Kelly of Kingston, Danielle (Mike) Dunn of Wisconsin, Julie (Larry) Kardell of Mayville, MI., Matthew (Kristen) Wilcox of Imlay City, MI. and Lori (Timothy) Bartz of Marlette; five great-grandchildren, Taylor and Ali Kelly, Alecia and Michelle Bartz and Mia Dunn; two sisters, Rose Cabic of Clifford and Josephine Bohnsack of Mesa, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law, Mary Prusak.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, July 2, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Patrick's Catholic cemetery in Clifford with Fr. Rich Schmidberger officiating.

Interment was in St. Patrick's cemetery, Clifford.

Memorials may be given to the Burlington Fire Rescue Department or the St. Patrick's cemetery Fund.

JILL L. DELMOTTE
Jill L. Delmotte 57, a homemaker, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2002 at her home in Marlette.
Miss Delmotte lived in Marlette for the past six years and was previously from the Clifford area.

She was born on October 21, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of Frank and Lena (Lynch) Prevost.

She attended the Charity Baptist Church in Marlette.

She is survived by her mother, Lena Prevost of Marlette; three daughters, Carrie Sarles of Marlette, Kathy and Greg McCombs of Marlette and Tammy and Gerald Huntley of Vassar, MI.; a son, Joseph Delmotte of Marlette; a brother, LeRoy and Marge Prevost of Southfield, MI.; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Prevost and a granddaughter, Sandra McCombs.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, January 25, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette with Pastor Jeff Walters of the Charity Baptist Church officiating. Interment was in Marlette cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

ANNA SOPHIA GABLER
Anna S. Gabler, 87, of Deford, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2002 at the Marlette Community Hospital Extended Care Facility.
She was born on February 2, 1914 in Plams to George and Elsbeth (Wolf) Conley.

She married George C. Gabler on April 7, 1934 in Warren. He died on August 6, 1988.

Mrs. Gabler enjoyed sewing and embroidery, making blankets for many family members. She was a great cook and made the best chicken rice soup and apple tarts. She was a wonderful mom. She loved flower gardens, especially her gladiolas. She loved to sing.

She is survived by her children: Dorothy (Robert) Pierson of Utica, Evelyn (Joseph) Gruber of Cass City, Irene McLellan of Deford, Gerald (Mary) Gabler of Decker, David Gabler of Deford, Judy (Hugh) Ferguson of Marlette, Robert E. Gabler of Akron and Ricky C. Gabler of Marlette; brothers, Charlie Conley of Centerline and Laurence (Vesta) Conley of Florida; 22 grandchildren; and 47 great-grandchildren. Her brother, Ernest Conley and granddaughter, Kim Gabler, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, January 27, 2002 at the Kranz Funeral Home in Cass City with Rev. Fleming of Heritage United Methodist Church, Snover, officiating. Interment was in Novesta Township cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Marlette Community Hospital Extended Care Facility, or United Hospice of Marlette.

EVA M. GOTTLER
Eva M. Gottler, 75, of Brown City, Michigan, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2002 at the Marlette Community Hospital.
She had lived in Brown City since 1968 and was previously from the Marlette area.

She was born on December 18, 1926 in Flint, Michigan daughter of the late John and Martha (Kunz) Ellis.

She graduated from Richland High School in 1944 and attended Kalamazoo Beauty School for two years.

She married Randy Gottler on March, 1992 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

She worked for several years for Hamil Manufacturing and Plasta Fiber.

She was president of the Yale Lions Club, a former city council woman of Brown City, a member of the Eastern Stars Washington Chapter #199, a member of the Brown City Awareness Committee, chairperson of the American Red Cross, a member of the Brown City Blood Drive, a member of the Burnside Senior Citizens, a member of the Brown City Homecoming Committee, on the Muscular Dystrophy Association and a member of the Brown City Friends of the Museum.

She is survived by her husband, Randy; a daughter, Linda Yockey of Brown City; a son, John (Joy) Yockey of Murhpy, TX.; five step-sons, Mark (Ethel) Gottler of St. Clair, MI., Mike Gottler of Harrison Twp. MI., Randy (Linda) Gottler of Phoenix, AZ., Ronn Andrea of Lancaster, CA., and Chuck Andre of Missouri; two step-daughters, Sue (Aaron) Kovatch of Yale and Jackie (David) Griel; of Goshen, IN.; a sister, Virginia Adamic of North Branch; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; a brother, Robert; and a step-son.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, January 28, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette with Pastor Dennis Berry officiating. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery, Brown City.

Memorials may be given to the Yale Lions Club for Leader Dogs for the Blind, or Bear Lake Camp.
