LUCY MORAN-MILLER
Age 75, of Richmond, died Sept. 21, 2003. Mrs. Moran-Miller was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond, a life-charter member of James Coleman VFW Post 6802 Auxiliary, a life member of the National Home and Camp Trotters, and served on the Armada Fair and Applefest committees. She is survived by her sons, David Moran of Casco Township and James Moran of Richmond; daughter, Christine Martindale of Richmond; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Moran; her husband, Marvin Miller; brothers, Joseph and Albert Mitchell. Services were held in St. Augustine Church, with the Rev. James Commyn officiating. Burial was in St. Michael's cemetery, Richmond. Arrangements were made by Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond. Memorials may be made to Macomb County Red Cross.
DOREEN E. MERRILL
Age 44, of Clay Township, died November 26, 2003. Mrs. Merrill is survived by her husband Richard; sons, Craig and Chris; parents, Arnold and Mary Dodge; four brothers and four sisters. Services were held at Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac, with the Rev. Harvey Reh of the United Church of Christ, Marine City, officiating. Burial was in Hillside cemetery in St. Clair.
EDWARD A. VIBORNY
Age 83, of Fort Gratiot, died Nov. 21, 2003. Mr. Viborny was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Navy and was a member of Sarnia-Port Huron Stamp Club. He is survived by his niece, Nancy Evans of Arizona; step-family, William Evans of Ruby, Donald Evans of Marysville and William Rossow of Port Huron; and many extended family members. Mr. Viborny was predeceased by his sister, Anne Evans. Services were held in Lakeside cemetery Chapel, with the Rev. James. M. Thompson of Marysville United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements were made by Pollock-Randall Funeral Home, Port Huron. Memorials can be made to Michigan Heart Association.
BEVERLY ANN BOBCEAN
Age 75, of Armada, died Nov. 25, 2003. Mrs. Bobcean was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Marvin; sons, Raymond of Richmond Township, James of Dryden and Roger of Arizona; two grandsons; step-brother, James Dedenbach of Allenton; and step-sisters, Harriette Cambridge of Ontario, Canada, Mary Leggett of Dryden and Kathy Inman of Arizona. Private family funeral services were held in Tiffany-Young and Hauss Funeral Home, Armada, with the Rev. Bob Tucker, of Memphis Free Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in West Berlin cemetery, Berlin Township. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Memphis Free Methodist Church in Memphis or the Lighthouse Hospice in Southfield.
MARY ANN GRIFFOR
Age 75, of Marine City, died Nov. 22, 2003. Mrs. Griffor was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Marine City. She is survived by her husband, Roy Sr.; sons, Roy Jr. of Warren, Paul of Lewiston and Ron of Port Huron; daughter, Carla Brazell of Boyce City; brothers, Carol, Joseph, John, George and August Ladensack; sister, Anna Dandron; nine grandchildren; and many extended family members. Mrs. Griffor was predeceased by a brother, Duane Ladensack; and sisters, Dorothy Sumners and Clara Lipa. Services were held in Holy Cross Catholic Church, with the Rev. Tim Birney officiating. Arrangements were made by Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, China Township. Burial was in Holy Cross cemetery. Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
JAMES M. LINDOW
Age 54 of Casco, died Nov. 24, 2003. Mr. Lindow formerly worked at Kammer Asphalt and Young Lumber and currently was a self-employed equipment operator. He is survived by his father, Melburn; brother, Lonnie; and many extended family members. Mr. Lindow was predeceased by his mother, Aileen. Services were held in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Casco, with the Rev. Doug MaGinn officiating. Arrangements were made by Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, China Township. HARRY V. DOWNEY
Age 77, of Chesterfield, died Nov. 23, 2003. Mr. Downey was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Navy. He retired as a hi-lo operator for Budd Company and was a member of Chesterfield Senior Citizens and St. Peter's Catholic Church in Mount Clemens. Mr. Downey is survived by his wife, Anna; daughters, Marilyn of Wisconsin, Janet Ryall of Allen Park and Linda Seger of Shephard; sons, Robert of Clinton Township, William of Lansing, Gregory Broomfield of Roseville, William Broomfield of Chesterfield and Gary Broomfield of Clinton Township; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Terry Broomfield; brother, Richard; and a sister, Renee Post. Services were held in St. Peter's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Michael N. Cooney officiating. ARTHUR K. KING
Age 81, of Marysville, died Dec. 25, 2003. Mr. King was employed with Interstate Motor Freight, Tom's Trailer, Auto Stylers and Northgate Ford. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army and a member of Smiths Creek Masonic Lodge 491 F&AM.; Mr. King is survived by his wife, Gloria; sons, Donald of Arizona and David of North Street; daughter, Debra Thierry of Goodells; four step-children, Michael Doan of Port Huron, Christopher Doan of Port Huron, Scott Doan of St. Clair and Deborah Wilson of Port Huron; 11 grandchildren; brother, Chrystal of Georgia; and many extended family members. Age 68, of Emmett, died Dec. 24, 2003. Mrs. Tyson had worked at General Motors in Pontiac Plant 8. BERTHA LaFAVE
Age 91, of Kenockee Township, died Dec. 25, 2003. Mrs. LaFave was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Emmett. She retired from Richmond Production. Mrs. LaFave is survived by her sons, Ernest Montroy of Keewadin and Fred LaFave of Kalkaska; daughters, Jean Schemanski of Richmond, Donna VanBoekel of Warren and Louis Machinski of Emmett; sister, Doris Risch of Garden City; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene; and sons, Richard LaFave and Don Montroy. Services were held in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Emmett, with the Rev. Jasper Sirianni officiating. ERSIE J. "NANNY" WYATT
Age 73, of St. Clair, died Dec. 24, 2003. Mrs. Wyatt had worked as a secretary for the Chrysler Corporation. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Barrons; son, Bob; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Ted and Donald Gentry. Mrs. Wyatt was predeceased by her husband, John. Age 41, of Marysville, died Dec. 20, 2003. Ms. Swain was employed within the family business Suburban Aluminum Inc in St. Clair Township.
