F. F. "FLOYD" BOSMAN
Age 74, of Richmond, died Feb. 7, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; daughters, Ellen Stern and Colleen Schomberg, both of Richmond and Renee Mardis of Marysville; sons, Joseph of Richmond, Norman of Columbus and Daniel of Lambs; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Sylvia of Harrison, Kate of Lake and Evelyn of Melvin; and brothers, Ed of Glennie, Jim of Lake and Bob of Richmond. He was predeceased by his foster son, Allen Tackett; and brother, Richard. Arrangements were made by Jowett Funeral Home, Port Huron.
MAX F. ANKRAPP JR.
Age 73, of Columbus Township, died Feb. 16, 2001. Mr. Ankrapp was employed by Grand Trunk Railroad and Greene Metal Products, was an area farmer, and an Amway distributor. He is survived by his wife, Marie; son, Max III; daughter, Kelly Mills; three grandchildren; brothers, Lyle of Clinton Township, Reynold of Port Huron and Franz of Columbus Township; and sisters, Janet Maranzano and Janice Leitz, both of Columbus Township. He was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth Richardson; and brother, Bobby Gene. Services were held in Columbus Baptist Church, with the Rev. Donald Pew and the Rev. Paul Murphrey officiating. Burial was in Kittridge cemetery, Columbus Township.
LOUISE E. MARKEL
Age 52, of East China, died Feb. 16, 2001. Mrs. Markel taught home economics at L'Anse Creuse High School, Mount Clemens, was a member of Delta Zeta sorority and St. Martin's Lutheran Church, Marine City. She is survived by her son, Joseph II of Marine City; parents, Reino and Elsie Akkala of Chatham; and brother, David Akkala of Chatham. Services were held in St. Martin's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Dr. Donna J. Osterhout officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn cemetery, Marine City. Arrangements were made by Bower-Rose Funeral Home, Marine City. Memorials may be made to the family.
WINIFRED LAMBERT
Age 77, of Smiths Creek, died Feb. 18, 2001. Mrs. Lambert was employed as an executive secretary by General Motors during WW II, was a member of Smiths Creek Community Church and a past Worthy Matron of Mt. Vernon Chapter 461, OES. She is survived by her husband, Neal; sons, Charles of Lapeer and Stephen of Smiths Creek; daughters, Rebecca Armstrong of Port Huron Township and Winifred of Florida; three granddaughters; brother, Allen Keogh of Florida; and sister, Velma Davis of South Lyon. Services were held in Smiths Creek Community Church, with the Rev. Robert Rands officiating. Arrangements were made by Marysville Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Smiths Creek Community Church or Blue Water Hospice.
LOTTIE LaVERNE HILL
Age 91, of Kimball Township, died Feb. 19, 2001. Mrs. Hill was the oldest member of Sparlingville Baptist Church, a member of the Golden Nuggets, past president of Ladies Missionary Group, and taught Sunday School for 35 years. She is survived by her daughters, Wilma Butler of North Street and Lois Schmidt of Kimball Township; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one great-granddaughter; four brothers; and two sisters. Services were held in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home, Port Huron, with the Rev. Thomas B. Brennan of Sparlingville Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Argyle Township cemetery. Memorials may be made to Marwood Manor.
Virginia Ann Stayton
age 81, of Armada, formerly of Annapolis, Maryland, died Feb. 16, 2001 at Crittenton Hospital, Rochester Hills. Mrs. Stayton was a commercial artist in the sign industry. She is survived by her daughters, Carolee Anderson of Armada and Danette LeClair of Maine; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brother, Leroy Reinburg. She was predeceased by her son, Dennis; and sister, Eleanor Diakos. Services were held in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Allenton, with the Rev. Gerry Frawley officiating. Burial was in Arlington National cemetery, Arlington, Virginia. Arrangements were made by Tiffany-Young and Hauss Funeral Home, Armada. Memorials may be made to St. John Church.
RONALD S. DOUGHTY
Age 66, of Chesterfield Township, died March 20, 2001. Mr. Doughty was employed as an automobile salesman. He is survived by his wife, Delores; sons, Ronald, Randy, John Frezza and Joe Frezza; daughter, Krystal; 11 grandchildren; brothers, Robert and Kenny; and sisters, Patsy and Ellie. Services were held in Christie-Olszewski Funeral Home, New Baltimore. Cremation has taken place.
ALTA MAE FLUCKEY
Age 103, of Fair Haven, died March 21, 2001. Mrs. Fluckey was a seamstress and homemaker. She is survived by her daughter, E. Roberta Schiller of Fair Haven; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, R.R.; daughter, Helen; and one grandson. Services were held in Christie-Olszewski Funeral Home, New Baltimore, with the Rev. Joe Berna officiating. Burial was in Grandlawn cemetery, Detroit.
MARVIN ERNEST BOTH
Age 69, of Yale, died March 27, 2001. Mr. Both was retired from Macomb County Road Commission after 31 years as an equipment operator. He was a member of the Berville Lions Club. He is survived by his wife, Betty; sons, Harold of St. Clair and Robert of Capac; daughter, Del McDaniel of Yale; stepson, Mark Weaver of Lenox Township; stepdaughters, Terri Weaver of Smiths Creek and Carole Grewe of Richmond; sixteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services were held in St. Matthew United Church of Christ, Adair, with the Rev. Carl Asher officiating. Burial was in Meade cemetery, Meade. Memorials may be made to Medi-Lodge of Yale.
ROBERT F. PRIOR
Age 70, of Richmond, died March 20, 2001. Mr. Prior was retired after 25 years as a drywall applicator. He was an usher at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond, and a member of K of C Richmond Council. He is survived by his wife, Noreen; son, Robert of Ray Township; daughter, Susan Killewald of St. Clair; three grandchildren; and sister, Mary Ellen Zimmer of East China. Services were held in St. Augustine Church, with the Rev. James Commyn officiating. Cremation has taken place. Interment was in Resurrection cemetery Mausoleum of the Angels, Clinton Township. Arrangements were made by John N. Olszewski Funeral Home, Richmond.
WILLIAM J. MOON
Age 78, of Clay Township, died March 24, 2001. Mr. Moon is survived by his brother, Ernest; stepbrother, Kenneth Vincent; and stepsister, Elsie Roy. Services were held in Gilbert Funeral Home, with the Rev. Thomas McNerney of Algonac Church of Christ, officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn cemetery.
CATHERINE E. HUNZIKER
Age 79, of Algonac, died March 25, 2001. Mrs. Hunziker is survived by her husband, Floyd; daughters, Sally Frazier and Lois Laesch, both of Florida; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Jim and Jerry Morand. Services were held in Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac. Memorials may be made to American Lung Association.
CECIL R. SACKMAN
Age 90, of Port Huron, formerly of Algonac, died March 26, 2001. Mr. Sackman is survived by his brother, George of Port Huron; and sister, Fay Dallas of Port Huron. He was predeceased by his wife, Florence. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements were made by Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac.
