Jean E. Yanniello
Jean E. Yanniello, 67, of North Fort Myers, Fla., and formerly from Eastpointe, died Thursday, May 18, 2000, at the Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Cape Coral, Fla.
Mrs. Yanniello retired with her husband in the mid-1980s and relocated to Florida as a full-time resident. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, golfing, swimming and playing cards.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, William Yanniello; sons, David (Regine) Yanniello and Steven (Vicki) Yanniello; daughters, Cheryl (Rob) Stawarz, Tina (Steve) Croce, Lori (R. Michael) Wuerth and Vicki (Tim) Hansen; sister, Shirley Harwood; and 15 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic Community, 40501 Hayes, Sterling Heights. Interment will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township.
Visitation is 10-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society for Research or to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital. Arrangements were made by Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, Waterford.
Ida Dallas
Ida Dallas, 88, of Warren, died Monday, May 22, 2000, at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. She was born Aug. 29, 1911, in Federal, Pa.
Mrs. Dallas was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Dallas; daughters, Jacqueline (Michael) Franks and Carol (Robert) Fuller; son, Gary Dallas; sisters, Evelyn (Albert) Bell and Helen Sabo; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at E.J. Mandziuk and Son Funeral Directors, 22642 Ryan, Warren, with the Rev. Dr. William Russell officiating. Burial will be in Oakview cemetery, Royal Oak.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today and 1-9 p.m. Thursday.
Theresa Forbush
Theresa Forbush, 74, a 49-year Warren resident, died Tuesday, May 23, 2000, at Bi-County Community Hospital, Warren. She was born Dec. 17, 1925, in Detroit.
Mrs. Forbush is survived by her husband, Kenneth F. Forbush; sons, Gregory (Helena) Forbush, Dennis (Margaret) Forbush, Phil Forbush and Douglas (Kaylynn) Forbush; sisters, Dorothy Bayma, Marge Jaroma and Rita Jaroma, Chris Lawicki, Bea Pasierb and Ella Saban; and eight grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at St. Edmund Church, 14025 12 Mile Road, Warren. Interment will be in Roseland Park cemetery, Berkley.
Visitation is 2-9 p.m. today and 1-9 p.m. Thursday.
Edwin J. Gower
Edwin J. Gower, 39, of Washington, died Monday, May 22, 2000, at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. He was born May 23, 1959, in Germany.
Mr. Gower was a journeyman electrician for Chrysler for 15 years and was a member of the Concourse Motorcycle Group and the Michigan Snowmobile Association.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Renee Gower (nee Green); son, David Gower; daughter, Jessica Gower; father, James (Barbara) Gower; mother, Uta Gower; sister, Gloria Gower; and father-in-law, David Green. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Rosemarie Green.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons funeral home, 54880 Van Dyke, Shelby Township, with the Rev. Sherry M. Schacht officiating. Burial will be in Romeo cemetery.
Visitation is 2-9 p.m. today.

Edith N. Grosse
Edith N. Grosse, 77, a resident of Sterling Heights for 30 years, died Saturday, May 20, 2000, at William Beaumont Hospital, Troy. She was born Oct. 8, 1922, in Essen, Germany.
Mrs. Grosse was an ID clerk at the Macomb County Sheriff's Department and enjoyed traveling, swimming and golf.
She is survived by her son, Richard Grosse of Northville; daughter, Judy Johnson of Brookfield, Wis.; grandson, Michael Johnson; and many cousins and friends in Germany. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerhard Grosse; and brother, Fred Nieswand.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Will & Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens, with the Rev. Bob Harvey officiating.

Stella M. Malczyk
Stella M. Malczyk, 84, formerly of Warren, died Monday, May 22, 2000, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Pontiac. She was born July 21, 1915, in Detroit.
"Stella loved being a volunteer at Bi-County Community Hospital in Warren," a family member said.
Mrs. Malczyk is survived by her daughters, Mary Jane (Richard) Sebesta of White Lake and Bernadette "Cookie" (William) Devine of Oxford; son, Bob (Cheryl) of Illinois; daughter-in-law, Jane Malczyk; sister, Dolores (Ed) Szczechowicz; grandchildren, Sharyl (Mike) Hatfield, Dawn (Klark) Koby, Mark Sebesta, Joe (Stacey) Malczyk, Evonne (Ross) Meili, Katie Malczyk, Lori Malczyk, Paul (Kari) Peruski, Neil (Melissa) Peruski and Eric (Beth) Peruski; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Malczyk.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Daniel Catholic Church, Clarkston. Interment will be in White Chapel cemetery, Troy.
Visitation is 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. prayer service, at the Lewis E. Wint and Son Trust 100 Funeral Home, 5929 Main St., Clarkston. Additional visitation is 10:30-11 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Erwin Nagel
Erwin "Ace" Nagel, 86, a 39-year Harrison Township resident, died Saturday, May 20, 2000, at Lakepointe Villa Nursing Home, Clinton Township. He was born Nov. 6, 1913.
Mr. Nagel was employed at H.C. Nagel and Sons Produce. He was a bowler in the All-Star Bowling League and enjoyed boating.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Nagel; son, Erwin Jr.; four grandchildren; two nieces; and two nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens, with the Rev. Bob Harvey officiating.
Visitation is 1-2 p.m. Friday.
Charles E. Needham
Charles E. Needham, 88, of Greenville, formerly of Grosse Pointe and Sterling Heights, died Monday, May 22, 2000. He was born June 26, 1911, in Detroit.
Mr. Needham was a retired circulation manager with the Detroit News. He was a member of the U.S. Army during World War II and received two Bronze Stars, a Purple Heart and the European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon. He also was a member of the American Legion Post 0519, Detroit, the Disabled American Veterans and Grosse Pointe United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Barbara (Robert) Plough of Clinton Township, Susan (Drake) Morin of Greenville and Sally (Robert) Gereau of Shelby Township; son Paul Needham of East Jordan; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Neva A. Gatfield; and brother, Melvin Needham.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Grosse Pointe United Methodist Church, 211 Moross, with the Rev. Robert Wright officiating. Burial will be in Roseland Park cemetery, Berkley.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Grosse Pointe United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.

Josephine Orzel
Josephine Orzel, 80, a resident of Clinton Township for 35 years, died Monday, May 22, 2000, at St. John Hospital Oakland Center, Madison Heights. She was born March 3, 1920, in Detroit.
Mrs. Orzel was a member of the Adoration Society at St. Claude Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and crocheting.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Walter S.; sons, Walter "Butch" (Joan), Don (Leissa), Stanley "Stosh" (Judy), Jerry (Mary Ann); daughters, Charlotte (Don) Brandt, Cynthia (Cecil) Queen and Joyce Orzel; 23 grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Orzel.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Claude Catholic Church, 33826 Beaconsfield, Clinton Township, with the Rev. Gerry Battersby officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery, Clinton Township.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today and 2-9 p.m. Thursday with a 7 p.m. rosary service at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield, Clinton Township. Additional visitation is 10-10:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
Jean E. Peper
Jean E. Peper, 68, of Cape Coral, Fla., died Wednesday, May 17, 2000, at Cape Coral Hospital. She was born Feb. 2, 1932, in Detroit.
Mrs. Peper retired in 1987 as a school teacher in Utica Community Schools. She was a member of the Ladies of the Elks Lodge 2596 and served as a volunteer at Cape Coral Hospital and the Women's Abuse Center.
She was an officer with the local branch of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel and the secretary of the Sunnybrook Condominium Association.
"Jean will be remembered for her love of dancing and singing," a family member said.
She is survived by her son, Don Peper of LaFargo, Wis., brother, Karl Schneider of Grosse Pointe Woods; and granddaughters, Makeeto and Nadina.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Elks Lodge 2596 in Cape Coral, Fla. A memorial gathering will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Rochester Elks Lodge 2225, 600 E. University Drive, Rochester.

Ruth E. Phillips
Ruth Elsa Phillips, 88, of Harrison Township, died Tuesday, May 23, 2000, at St. John Hospital, Detroit. She was born Aug. 17, 1911, in Chippewa Falls, Wis.
Mrs. Phillips retired in 1980 from her job as a cook for A.R.A. Catering. She was a member of the American Lutheran Church and was past President of the Lydia Circle at church. She was a life member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 1269, life member and past royal matron of Amaranth Chapter 5, past worthy high priestess of White Shrine of Jerusalem Macomb County 48, past senior regent of women of Moss Chapter 905, past matron of the Eastern Star 247, past president of Happy Hours Seniors Club of Harrison Township, and past president of Happy Hours Bowling League.
She is survived by her daughters, Shirley (Gerald) Syrja of Harrison Township and Leone Sandlin of Warren; son, William D.E. (Bonnie) Phillips of Macomb Township; brother, LeRoy Books of Cadillac; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Phillips; son, Terrance Phillips; and grandson, Keith Phillips.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, with the Rev. Jerry Volz of American Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township.
Visitation is 3-9 p.m. today and noon-9 p.m. Thursday.
