Kay Norton

Kay Norton, 75, of White Lake Township, died Saturday, May 27, 2000.

Mrs. Norton and her husband were the past owners and operators of the Milford Lanes and Redford Bowling and Trophy Sales. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Waterford.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Norton; daughters, Cathie (Brian) Shiek of Plymouth, Deborah Kowal of Highland, and Lori Paul of Clinton Township; son, Bud Norton of White Lake; grandchildren, Dawn, Wendy, Dennis, Kellie, Krystilyn, Krystifer and Jacqueline; and great-grandson, James.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Peace Lutheran Church, 7390 Elizabeth Lake Road, Waterford, with the Rev. William Merrell officiating. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial cemetery, Troy.

Visitation is 3-9 p.m. Wednesday and 3-9 p.m. Thursday at Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford. Additional visitation is 10-11 a.m. Friday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation.

Dorothy J. Webster

Dorothy Jean Webster, 57, of Mount Clemens, died Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor. She was born October 28, 1942, in Tupelo, Miss.

Mrs. Webster worked in food service for Mount Clemens Community Schools. She graduated from Tupelo Carver High School in Mississippi.

She is survived by her sons, Terry and Jerry Shannon; daughter, Tanya Celesye Webster; step-son James Webster Jr.; mother, Fannie Turner; father, Oliver Shannon; and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Eddie Lee Webster.

A funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday at United Memorial Funeral Home, 75 Dickinson St., Mount Clemens, with the Rev. Faye Moor officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Park cemetery, Clinton Township.

Visitation is 11 a.m.-9 p.m. today.

Ada Davis

Ada Davis, 86, of Clinton Township, died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at Church of Christ Care Center, Clinton Township. She was born April 30, 1914, in Florence, N.C.

Mrs. Davis was a homemaker. She was a member of Greater Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Mount Clemens.

She is survived by her nephew, Samuel (Janice) Mitchell of Clinton Township; four godchildren; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Greater Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 87 Robertson, Mount Clemens, with the Rev. Kevin Stafford officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Park cemetery, Clinton Township.

Visitation is 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday at United Memorial Funeral Home, 75 Dickinson, Mount Clemens. A family hour will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Eveline Franco

Eveline Franco, 77, of Roseville, died Friday, May 26, 2000, in Bi-County Community Hospital, Warren. She was born Jan. 9, 1923, in Middlesboro, Ky.

Mrs. Franco had been employed by Henry Ford Continuing Care Center, Roseville.

She is survived by her children, Diane Jaroslawski, Joseph, John, Bob, Annamaria (Patrick) Giampaolo and Frank (Carole); 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, 26100 Ridgemont, Roseville. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre cemetery, Southfield.

Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Tuesday, with a 7 p.m. rosary recital, at Bagnasco-Tabbi Funeral Home, 25800 Harper Ave., St. Clair Shores. Additional visitation is 9:15-10 a.m. Wednesday in the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice.

Patricia A. Marceau

Patricia Anne Marceau, 65, of St. Clair Shores, died Friday, May 26, 2000, at Bi-County Community Hospital, Warren. She was born Jan. 17, 1935, in Detroit.

Mrs. Marceau is survived by her husband, Thomas; son, Victor (Julie); daughter, Michele (Thomas) Vernier; and grandchildren, Luccianna, Jacqueline, Nicholas, Vince and Carlo. She was predeceased by her son, Dale; and brother, Robert.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Gertrude Church, 28855 Jefferson, St. Clair Shores, with the Rev. John McGrevey officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery, Detroit.

Visitation is 7-9 p.m. today and 2-9 p.m. Tuesday with a Scripture service in the evening at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson, St. Clair Shores. Additional visitation is 9:30-10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Doreen M. Oviatt

Doreen Marie Oviatt, 43, of Warren, died Friday, May 26, 2000, at her home. She was born Oct. 7, 1956, in Detroit.

Mrs. Oviatt was a secretary at NGS America Insurance Co. She was named Volunteer of the Year at Van Dyke Public Schools and enjoyed crafts, gardening, golfing and softball.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Gerald; daughters, Cassandra and Sabrina Oviatt; mother, Shirley A. Ogrisko; sisters, Jane (Kenneth) Bungart and Sandra (William) Lee; brothers, Timothy (Patricia), Michael, Patrick, Daniel and Dennis Rusek; many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great- nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mark Catholic Church, 4257 Bart Street, Warren, with the Rev. Robert Ruedsueli officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery, Clinton Township.

Visitation is 2-9 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. Scripture service at Ford Funeral Home, 26560 Van Dyke, Center Line. Additional visitation is 9-9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Dominick F. Pascoots

Dominick F. Pascoots, 80, of Harrison Township, died Saturday, May 27, 2000, at Lakepointe Villa. He was born Dec. 19, 1919, in Dayton, Pa.

Mr. Pascoots retired in 1983 from the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel Corp. and was a member of a VFW Post in Roseville. He enjoyed his garden, plants, wild birds and his dog.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; sons, Andrew (Brenda) Aitken, Andrew Pascoots and Arthur Pascoots; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his seven sisters.

Visitation is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Wm. R. Hamilton Co. funeral home, 226 Crocker, Mount Clemens.

Memorial contributions may be made to Michigan Humane Society.

Josephine M. Rudzinski

Josephine M. Rudzinski, 62, a resident of Chesterfield Township for 36 years, died Friday, May 26, 2000, at her home. She was born Sept. 15, 1937, in New Ulm, Minn.

Mrs. Rudzinski was a homemaker whose hobbies were puzzles, crosswords and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Michael; sons, Martin (Linda) Rudzinski of Macomb Township and Patrick (Lorri) Rudzinski of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; father, Virgilius C. Faust of Englewood, Fla.; step-mother, Leona; brothers, John (Anna) Faust of Lake George and Dennis (Karon) of Mesa, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Queen of Creation Church, New Baltimore, with the Rev. Patrick Casey officiating.

Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Tuesday with a 7:30 p.m. Scripture service at Gendernalik Funeral Home, 35600 Main Street, New Baltimore. Additional visitation is 9:30-10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Roland H. Shene

Roland Hazen Shene, 69, of Oxford, died Saturday, May 27, 2000, at his home. He was born Jan. 2, 1931, in Detroit.

Mr. Shene worked for Holley Carburetor in Warren for 25 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War on the USS Carpellotti, and enjoyed square dancing.

He is survived by his daughters, Anita (Michael) Stafford and Denise Shene; grandchildren, Erin and Christopher; sisters, Marlene (Joseph) Pissott, Sandra (Joseph) Gamrat, Judith (Howard) Kracht and Donna (Edward) Jerome; brothers, Gerald (Carol), Robert (Dorothy), Harry (Sandra) and Theodore (Anne). He was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr, Warren.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday.

George J. Snooks

George J. Snooks, 85, of Marco Island, Fla., formerly from Madison Heights and Rochester, died Thursday, May 25, 2000, in Troy. He was born June 4, 1914, in Detroit.

Mr. Snooks retired in 1982 after 27 years as owner and president of Standard Impression Die Co. in Madison Heights.

He had served as president of the Kiwanis Club of Madison Heights from 1973-1974 and was a former board member. He was chairman of the municipal building authority of Madison Heights from December 1976-October 1978. He had also served two terms on the board of directors of the Madison Heights Chamber of Commerce.

He is survived by his children, Georgia A. (Kenneth A.) Blodick of Suttons Bay, Thomas G. of Sterling Heights, and Linda J. Tempia of Troy; brother, Walter J. of Lake Isabella, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Jesstine E. "Peggy," in December 1996.

A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at William Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Road, Royal Oak, with the Rev. Paul Arndt, officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel cemetery, Troy.

Visitation is noon-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Irma Verdonckt

Irma Verdonckt, 90, of Sterling Heights, died Friday, May 26, 2000, at St. Joseph Mercy of Macomb Hospital, Clinton Township. She was born in Belgium.

Mrs. Verdonckt was retired from Bundy Tubing.

She is survived by her nieces, Sharron Majka (nee Verdonckt), Patricia Minchella (nee Verdonckt), Linda Klix (nee Huck), Christine Gordon (nee Huck) and Michelle Poul (nee Verdonckt); nephew, Michael Verdonckt; second cousins, Donald Ide and Linda Szczotka (nee Ide); and friends, Vito and Mary Poma. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Verheyden Duross Funeral Home, 28499 Schoenherr, Warren. Burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery, Detroit.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. today with a 6:30 p.m. rosary recital.

Roy H. Winkelman

Roy H. Winkelman, 78, of Macomb Township, died Saturday, May 27, 2000, at his home. He was born July 4, 1921, in Fraser.

Mr. Winkelman retired in 1983 after 16 years as a maintenance man for the Mount Clemens Schools district. He served in the U.S Army during World War II and was a member of the VFW Post 7573, New Baltimore. He was a former member of Omo Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughter, Cheryl (Arend) Ackles of Galesburg; grandchildren, Heather (Marcus) Lamphear of Kalamazoo and Steve Massey of Galesburg; great-grandchildren, Kamille Massey, Cherylyn Lamphear, B.J. Massey and Andrew Massey; brother, Albert (Jean) Winkelman of Lewiston; sisters, Dorothy Lohr of AuGres and Violet Congdon of Mount Clemens. He was predeceased by his brothers, Otto, Alvin and Robert Winkelman; sisters, Gladys Ormsby, Helen Base and Lillian; and grandson, William Massey.

A funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens with the VFW Macomb County Council Ritual Team officiating. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Henry Ford or to the Winkelman Family.
