Albert G. Dahlstrom
Albert G. Dahlstrom, 94, of Port Huron died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, in Marwood Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Sept. 8, 1907, in Detroit to the late Oscar and Anna (Jeanson) Dahlstrom. He married
Helen E. Reeves, Dec. 19, 1936, in Detroit. She died April 10, 1992.
Mr. Dahlstrom retired as a tool maker from Gearing Tool.
He is survived by a nephew, James Dalton; a niece, Gertrude Roth; and a long time family friend, Donald McIntosh of St. Clair.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2002, in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Elder Paul Shaw and Donald McIntosh will officiate.
Burial will be in Cadiallac Memorial Gardens East, Mount Clemens.

Ronald E. Bowen
Ronald E. Bowen, 63, of Port Huron died Friday, March 1, 2002, in his home.
He was born Aug. 23, 1938, in Port Huron to Lester and Helen Lashbrook Bowen.
He married
Carolyn J. La-Turno. She died June 11, 1998.
Mr. Bowen was employed with Laborers Union Local 463.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of the Blue Water Aerie 3702 Fraternal Order of Eagles and enjoyed hunting and bowling.
He is survived by five sons, Mr. and Mrs. Gary (Kathy) LaTurno, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald (Kim) Bowen Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Raymond (Santa) Bowen, Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Shanna) Bowen and Randy Bowen; two daughters, Cheryl Ann Tucker and Mr. and Mrs. William (Carolyn) Fuller, all of Port Huron; 20 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Mr. and Mrs. Larry (Elaine) Irvin of Port Huron; two sisters, Mr. and Mrs. Darwin (Lois) Dake and Mr. and Mrs. William (Pat) Eagle, all of Port Huron; and several nieces and nephews, including his two special caregivers, Mark and Mike McGinnis.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Stanley Tucker, and a brother, William Bowen.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2002, in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Rev. Rod Penrod of the Port Huron Assembly of God Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fort Gratiot Township. Military honors will be under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.

Raymond Carrier
Raymond E. Carrier, 84, of Port Huron Township passed away on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, in his home after a courageous fight with leukemia, with his loving wife at his side.
Ray was born on July 28, 1918, to the late Phillip and Ruth Simpson Carrier in Port Huron.
On April 7, 1941, he married
Verna A. Lumree in Port Clinton, Ohio.
He was a veteran of World War II having served his country as a Seaman First Class in the U.S. Navy and seeing duty in the Pacific aboard the USS Elmore (APA42).
Ray was authorized to wear campaign ribbons and operational stars of the American Theater of War Campaign Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Ribbons, four Bronze Operational Stars, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with two Bronze Operational Stars and World War II Vic-tory Ribbon.
Ray was a member of the Salvation Army Golden Agers; the American Legion Post 8; St. Clair County Voiture 120, 40/8; and a life member of VFW Post 796 as well as a member of Inter-national Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.
Before his marriage to Verna A. Lumree on April 7, 1941, he sailed a season on the Great Lakes aboard the William A. Irwin.
After serving in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946, Ray went to work for Gar Wood Boat Manufacturer until he went to work for Auto-Lite, later known as Prestolite, where he stayed until his retirement in 1977, after 31 years as a machinist.
Ray loved life. He loved the ships and, particularly, he looked forward to the up-north fishing trips with the family.
Ray is survived by his wife of 61 years, Verna; his four sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond C. (Marty) Carrier of Clyde Township, Dennis Carrier of Farwell, William (Diana) Carrier of Shreveport, La., and Richard (Marsha) Carrier of Port Huron Township; daughter and son-in- law, Joann (Lewis) Andrews of Clyde Township; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert (Phyllis) Carrier of Fargo and Lyle (Bernice) Carrier of St. Clair; one sister and brother- in-law, Marguerite (James) Matthews of Grant Township; brother-in-law, Harley Wright of Croswell; two sisters-in-law, Donna Edmondson of Port Huron and Mary Carrier of Fort Gratiot; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and many, many, many nieces and nephews.
Ray was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Carrier; sister, Dorothy Schneider; sister- in-law, Beatrice Wright; and a daughter-in-law, Lynn Carrier.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave., at 17th Street. The Rev. Christine Crocker of the Trinity Missionary Church in Burton will officiate.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday in the funeral home.
Interment will be in Kinney cemetery, Clyde Township.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, William Jr., Michael, Chad, Gregg, Jason and Gordon Carrier.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lewis Andrews, Lukas Bell and Tarry Carrier.
Military honors will be under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.
A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Jowett Funeral Home by the St. Clair County 40/8 American Legion Post8 and the VFW Post 796.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army Golden Agers, St. Clair County Voiture 120's Nurses Training Program, Blue Water Hospice, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
Lorna Edie
Mrs. Lorna J. Edie, age 81, of Fort Gratiot, died on Monday, May 26, 2003 in Mercy Hospital after a long illness.
She was born on March 24, 1922 in Port Huron, daughter of the late Foy and Blanche Frazier.
Lorna married
Lee W. Edie on January 19, 1941 in Port Huron.
She sent lollipops to service men and women during the Vietnam War. She was also a member of Central Lakeport United Methodist Church, was a teacher for the handicap, and an art teacher at Gardendale and Krafft Road School. She enjoyed growing flowers, drawing and painting.
She is survived by her husband, Lee W. Edie of Fort Gratiot; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Dennis and Ann Edie of Albany, New York; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Brian Lofto of Renton, Washington; daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Phil Weimer of Oregon, Ill; daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and John Collette of Marysville; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by a son, Kurt Edie who was a United States Navy Medic and was killed during the Vietnam War, and a grandson, Todd Lofto.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Central Lakeport United Methodist Church, 3597 Milwaukee, Lakeport. Rev. Sue Freeland, pastor Central Lakeport United Methodist Church will officiate.
Visiting hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave. at 17th Street and Friday 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
Burial will be in Lakeport cemetery.
Memorial tributes may be made to Central Lakeport United Methodist Church or to American Diabetes Association.
George Emeigh
George C. Emeigh, 78, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, May 14, 2003 in Port Huron Hospital.
He was born July 28, 1924 in Port Huron to the late Samuel and Mary Emeigh.
He married
Jean G. Mollman on Nov. 30, 1946 in Port Huron.
Mr. Emeigh retired from Grand Trunk Western Railroad. He was a veteran of World War II. He loved to garden and was an amateur radio operator.
Mr. Emeigh is survived by his wife, Jean; two sons, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth (Mary) Emeigh of Elkhart, Indiana and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas (Christine) Emeigh of Worthington, Ohio; five grandchildren, Melissa, Michael, Abigail, Stephanie and Casey; three great-grandchildren, Alex, Alexis and Andrew; a sister, Grace Hirsch of Fort Gratiot; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael; and ten brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Rev. Max Amstutz will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Paulus, Glen Lee, Patrick Norton, Frederick Pelton and Michael Emeigh.
Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.

Jessica Ayrton
Our angel, Jessica L. Ayrton, 15, of Port Huron, passed away of natural causes on Sunday, May 4, 2003 and began a new life with her Savior, Jesus Christ.
She was born Nov. 26, 1987 in Port Huron, attended Port Huron Northern High School, and worked at the Port Huron Pastry Shop.
She enjoyed drawing, writing, music, dancing and modeling. She especially loved being with her family and her many friends.
Her laughter, smile and love for others will be with her family and friends always.
Jessica is survived by her mother, Suzanne R. Ayrton of Port Huron; her father, Robert C. (Laurie Dinger) Ayrton of Marysville; her three sisters, Irene (Larry) Schuck of Port Huron, Lindsay (Chris Travis) Ayrton of Port Huron and Amanda Ayrton of Port Huron; her grandparents, Otto and Ruth Mohni of Port Huron; her grandmother JoAnn McDonald of Port Huron; one nieces and three nephews, Nichole and Craig Schuck and Caleb and Ashton Travis; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and many very special friends.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2003 in Colonial Woods Missionary Church. The Rev. Link Howard, Pastor of Interfaith Community Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Lakeside cemetery.
Visitation will be 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Smith Family Funeral Home-North, 1525 Hancock St. and on Thursday at the church beginning at 10 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Robert C. Ayrton, Larry Schuck, Robert and Richard Mohni, Jody Mahosky and Roger Williams Jr.

Dorothy Derrick
Dorothy Mae Derrick, age 77, of Kimball, died May 26, 2003 in the Evangelical Home after a long illness.
She was born April 21, 1926 in Marlette, Michigan and lived in Kimball Township most of her life.
She married
Franklin "Barney" Derrick in Lexington. He preceded her in death on July 5, 1989.
Dorothy was a homemaker. She was a member of the American Legion Post 449 Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, bingo, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Franklin "Butch" (Wendy) Derrick of Kimball Twp.; grandchildren, J.R. (Heidi), Tiffany, and Troy Derrick all of Kimball Twp.; great- grandchildren, Kalvin, Destiny, and Raine Derrick all of Kimball; sisters, Annabell Walker and Eleanor Kolowich; and brothers, Barney Odoerfer of Warren and Edward Odoerfer.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald Derrick and a brother, Earl Odoerfer.
The funeral service has taken place, and she was interred next to her husband in Caswell cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospital.
