Donald K. Cristner
Donald K. Cristner, 73, of Jeddo, died Wednesday, July 25, 2001, in his residence after a short illness.
He was born Sept. 8, 1927, in Port Huron, the son of the late Reynold and Bertha Cristner.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was a former Chrysler Corp. employee. He was a member of the Marysville American Legion and Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and John McKeon of Port Huron, Nancy and Dan Ross of Beaverton and Frances and Richard Dorsey of Port Huron; his son, Michael Cristner of Port Huron; his daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Roger Eckstorm of Omer; his daughters, Sharon Cristner of Vassar and Karen Cristner of Port Huron; his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Marv Hardy II of Port Huron; 18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. today in Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave., at 17th Street. The Rev. David J. Lesniak, pastor of St. Stephen Catholic Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Allied Veterans cemetery. Military graveside honors will be under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council
Visiting hours are 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2001.
Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
Judith Anne Dallier
Judith Anne Dallier, 59, of Port Huron died Monday, July 2, 2001, in Port Huron Hospital.
She was born April 17, 1942, in Mount Clemens to Floyd and Mary Erskine Thornley.
Mrs. Dallier was a licensed practical nurse at Martha T. Berry Nursing Facility in Mount Clemens.
She was a very artistic person who enjoyed painting, writing poetry and reading. She also was a naturalist who loved and cared for many animals.
She is survived by a son, Frank Dallier, and a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Alan O'Neil, all of London, Ontario; three grandchildren, Alice, Nicholas and Ian; her mother, Mary "Sis" Thornley of Port Huron; a sister, Heidi Thornley and her husband, Kris Wisniewski, of Lansing; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Nancy Thornley of Howell and Arthur Thornley and Michele Banjanin of Brooklyn; a brother-in-law, Richard Foster of Port Huron; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd; a sister, Margaret "Peg" Foster; and a son, George.
Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2001, in the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Rev. Amy Lee Terhune of First United Methodist Church will officiate.

Charlotte J. Dew
Charlotte Joy Dew, 72, of Marysville died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2001, in Mercy Hospital.
She was born Sept. 15, 1928, in Port Huron, to the late Harry F. and Cora Hall Hildebrand.
She married
Basil William "Bill" Dew on July 25, 1967, in Port Huron. He died April 27, 2001.
Mrs. Dew enjoyed playing bingo and camping.
She is survived by two brot-hers, Mr. and Mrs. William (Ann) Hildebrand of Florida and Frank Hildebrand of Port Huron; nieces and nephews, MarisKay Kettlewell, Cindy Sassanella, Marilyn Young, John, James, Herb and Linda Hildebrand, and Wendy and John Kilbourne and their sons, Ronald Lester Jr. and Harry Lester; and stepchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Doug (Debbie) Stinchcombe, Mr. and Mrs. David (Marilyn) Dew and Mr. and Mrs. Rick (Gisele) Dew, all of Petrolia, Ontario.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Doying, in September 1991.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, 2001, in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home, Port Huron. The Rev. Gary Aupperle of Colonial Woods Missionary Church will officiate.
Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Kenneth C. Dickinson
Kenneth C. "Pa" Dickinson, 46, of Port Huron died Sunday, July 22, 2001, in his residence after a long illness.
He was born Oct. 12, 1954, in Port Huron, the son of the late Norvel and Edna Dickinson.
He married
Patricia L. Samson on Aug. 21, 1993, in Port Huron.
He was employed at TOPS in Quality in Marysville. He enjoyed NASCAR and was a Mr. Fix-It and bike rider.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia of Port Huron; his son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Sue Napora of Port Huron; his daughters and sons-in-law, Carollynn Napora-Peel and Damon Peel of Port Huron and Margie and Tony Smith; his adopted son, Kenneth Charles "KC" Dickinson-Napora of Port Huron; eight grandchildren; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandy and Scott VanTiem of Smiths Creek and Marsha and Jim Fayed of Port Huron; his brother, Gary Dickinson of Arizona; his sister and brother-in-law, Sherri and Mark Candea of Colorado; his brother and sister-in-law, Chuck and April Dickinson of Arizona; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Gail Hill; his brother, Thomas Dickinson; his granddaughter, Sheila Marie Mlynar-ski; and a nephew, Scotty VanTiem.
Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday in Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave., at 17th Street. The Rev. Dellis Hudson, chaplain of Blue Water Hospice, will officiate.
Visiting hours are 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Lois Dickinson
Lois D. Dickinson, age 85, of Fort Gratiot, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2004 in Evangelical Home, Port Huron, after a long illness.
She is survived by four nephews; one niece; and a sister, Marjorie Williams of St. Clair.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles R. Johnston Jr. and Robert Dickinson; and a son, Charles R. Johnston III.
The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday in Smith Family Funeral Home, North, 1525 Hancock St. Burial will follow in Capac cemetery.
Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in Lois's memory to Blue Water Hospice or to the donor's choice.
Donald N. Walker
Donald N. Walker, 80, of West Branch, formerly of Smiths Creek, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2001, in his residence after a long illness.
He was born Sept. 10, 1920, in Capac, the son of the late Lewis and Jennie Mae Walker.
He married
Audrey "Jackie" Knights on April 30, 1946.
He was a truck driver for 45 years and retired from Great Lakes Express in 1976. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 339.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie; a daughter, Linda (David) Birkinshaw of St. Thomas, Ontario; a son, Bob (Joyce) Walker of Goodells; five grandchildren, Lisa Thompson of Sarnia, Robert and Darlene Walker of Goodells, Bree (Philip) Kastenholz of West Milwaukee, Wis., and Jason Birkinshaw of St. Thomas, Ontario; three greatgrandchildren, Devin, Dalton and Brittany of Goodells; three brothers, Keith (Marion) Walker of Port Huron, Guy (Nadean) Walker of Barton City and Neal Walker of Superior, Neb.; two sisters-in-law, Violet Walker of West Branch and Mary Walker of Clearwater, Fla; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Edward Walker, and three brothers, Earl, William and Gerald Walker.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave., at 17th Street.
Visiting hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
Pastor Rick Compton of Goodells Bible Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Woodland cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robert, David and Michael Walker, Frank Kocis, David Nutting and George Doutre.
Memorial tributes may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Vivian Alberts
Vivian Alberts, 87, of Port Huron died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001, in Port Huron Hospital.
She was born June 1, 1914, in Chicago, Ill., and lived here most of her life. She married
Frank Alberts. He died April 30, 1997.
Her life was her family. She was a member of First Congregational Church and Group 12 of the women's association of the church. She was also a life member of Order of the Eastern Star Cornell, Marysville Chapter 93.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Faye Slingerland and JoAnn (Ray) Wine, both of Port Huron; her granddaughters, Diane Slingerland, Dondra Slingerland and Andrea (Michael) Cansfield, all of Port Huron; her grandson, Jeffrey (Debra) Wine of Port Huron; her great-grandchildren, Deidre Slingerland, Nathaniel Wine, Avery Wine, Patrick Cansfield, Andrew Cansfield and Kellen Cansfield, all of Port Huron.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Susan Wine.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, in First Congregational Church. The Rev. Dr. Ronald W. Smith will officiate. Interment has taken place in Lakeside cemetery.
Visiting hours are one hour preceding the service.
Memorials may be made to First Congregational Church.

Mary F. Cote
Mary F. Cote of Port Huron, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2001, in Marwood Manor.
She was born in Port Huron and was a lifelong resident. She married
the former Judge Eugene d'Aumont Cote. He died Dec. 24, 1981.
She worked for many years as the water and milk analyst for the St. Clair County Health Department. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Church, the League of Catholic Women, St. Clair County Retirees Association and the First Friday Club.
Mary is survived by many nieces and nephews and their spouses in various states.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Rene L. Desmarais, pastor of St. Joseph Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery.
Visiting hours are 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Church.
Robert E. Barnes
Robert E. Barnes, 75, of Port Huron died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001, in his home.
He was born May 19, 1926, in Port Huron to the late Charles H. and Alta Collingwood Barnes.
He married
Mary Helen Laming on April, 26, 1949.
Mr. Barnes was employed as a truck driver for Mueller Brass Co. and as a maintenance man at Aikman Bakery.
He is survived by his children, Barbara Randall, Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. (Marsha) Barnes, Brian W. Barnes and Beth Richards; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Benjamin and Richard Barnes; a sister, Geraldine James; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Donald Barnes, and two sisters, Shirley LaGrange and Frances Parmann.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001, until the time of a memorial service at 8 p.m. in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Washington Township cemetery, Carsonville.
