Nancy L. Orr
Nancy L. Orr, 70, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, April 18, 2001, in Evangelical Nursing Home after a long illness.
She was born July 28, 1930, in Port Huron to the late D. Gordon and Jennie (Ralston) Carr.
Mrs. Orr is survived by a -son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. David (Melanie) Orr of Grosse Isle; a daughter, - Diane Vogan of Sandusky; two grandsons, Nicholas and John Orr; three brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Edith) Carr of Nashville, Mr. and Mrs. David (Dorothy) Carr of Fort Gratiot and Mr. and Mrs. David (Sandra) Carr of Alma; two sisters, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond (jean) Campbell of Marine City and Helen Carr of Lansing and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, John F. Orr.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel T. Stewart of Griswold Street Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens cemetery.
Olive MacDonald Powell
Olive MacDonald Powell, 100, of Richmond, Va., died Monday, April 9, 2001, in her home.
She was born Oct. 20, 1900, in Deckerville and lived here 52 years. She taught in area schools for 17 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Madeline L. Keever; her daughter-in-law, Frances Powell; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred J. Powell, on March 12, 1973; her son, Kenneth J. Powell; and her grandson, Kenneth A. Powell.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. Robert E. Starkey, senior minister of First Congregational Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Hillside cemetery, St, Clair.
Visiting hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
Gloria Brown
Gloria A. Brown, 74, went home to be with the Lord and her family on Tuesday, May 18, 2004. Gloria passed away at Port Huron Hospital, after a short illness, surrounded by her family.
She was born June 12, 1929 in Port Huron and lived in the area all her life.
She married
Lloyd C. Brown on July 9, 1953 in Angola, Indiana. He died July 5, 1986.
Gloria was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed traveling with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Larry) Gould of Port Huron; son, James T. "Skip" Brown of Fort Gratiot (and fiancee Christine Maas); grandchildren, Cory Gould and D. Matt Brown; special cousin, Beverly Johnson of Port Huron; sister-in-law, Dixie Winningham of Clinton Twp; many nieces, nephews, cousins, many special friends and her faithful companion "Ginger".
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Jennie Fayed; husband, Lloyd; brothers, Thomas C. and James A. Fayed; and daughter-in-law, Renee Sax Brown.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. Stanley A. Wyczawski, Pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope cemetery.
Visiting hours are 2 to 4 and 6:30 to 9 p.m. today at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and 9 a.m. Friday at the church.
A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. today.
Memorials may be made to the Children's Hospital of Michigan- Cancer Research.
Dillon Ulmer
Our beautiful and loving son, Dillon Leif Ulmer, age 17, of Fort Gratiot, died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 9, 2007 in his home. Dillon was a student a Port Huron Northern High School where he was in his Senior year. He also played Soccer at Northern. Dillon was the lead singer in a band called "For the Worst." He also enjoyed riding his dirt bike, snowboarding, and had just accomplished a back flip on his wakeboard. He was very creative. Everyone knew him by his Blue Dodge Truck. He was a kind person, and had many, many friends who will miss him deeply.
He is survived by his parents, Dana and Ann Ulmer, a sister, Brooke Ulmer, his brother and best friend, Coleton Ulmer, all of Fort Gratiot; grandparents, Edward (Diane) Ulmer of Saginaw; grandmother, Barbara Cook of Punta Gorda, Florida; great-grandmother, Marian Ulmer of Saginaw; and several aunts, uncles, and many special cousins who loved adored and will miss him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert and Elizabeth Daniels of Buffalo, NY.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday (9/13) in St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Joseph Esper officiating. A graveside committal service will follow in Mt. Hope cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday (9/11) from 6-9 p.m. and Wednesday (9/12) from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. in the Smith Family Funeral Home - North, 1525 Hancock Street. There will be a scripture service Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. There will also be visitation at church on Thursday beginning at 9 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dillon Leif Ulmer Memorial College Scholarship Fund. The fund will be set up to provide scholarships to students entering college.
Rodney R. Reeves
Rodney R. Reeves, 51, of Port Huron died Sunday, April 1, 2001, at his home.
He was born March 15, 1950, in Port Huron to the late Albert and Althea Miller Reeves. He married
Diane L. Doan on June 28, 1969, in Port Huron.
He was an avid softball player and bowler.
He was a devoted father and was unselfishly committed to his family and friends, always with a smile and a cheerful word for everyone.
He is survived by his wife, Diane; a son, Rodney Reeves of Kimball Township; a daughter, Christina Reeves and a son-in-law, Jerry Mead, of St. Clair; two grandchildren, Joshua and Kassandra Reeves; a brother, Doug Reeves of Almont; a sister, Lynda LaVere of Port Huron; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be 6 to 7 p.m. with a memorial service at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2001, in the Salvation Army Citadel. Kenneth Reeves and Darwin Reeves will officiate.

Mildred N. Robbins
Mrs. Mildred N. Robbins, 83, of Chester, Va., formerly of Port Huron, died Monday, April 9, 2001.
She was born May 21, 1917, in Port Huron to the late William and Clara Laudeman.
She married
James A. Robbins on June 6, 1942, in Port Huron. He died April 21, 1985.
Mrs. Robbins was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William (Sandra) Robbins of Chester, Va.; two grandchildren, Christopher and Michelle Robbins; and a sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert (Beatrice) Klause of Lewiston.
Memorial services will be I p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2001, in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home Port Huron. The Rev. Ralph H. Pieper II of First United Methodist Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Kinney cemetery.

Lori M. Seminara
Lori M. Seminara, 38, of Port Huron, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2001 in Port Huron Hospital.
She was born April 6, 1963 and had worked for the past three years at Port Huron Hospital as the photographer of newborn babies. Previously she had been employed by Bob Evans Restaurant and Jeannie's Restaurant.
Lori liked travelling, geography, snow skiing, music and her many friends. She especially loved her children and cats.
She is survived by her two sons, Blake Seminara and Charles Daniels III, both of Port Huron; her brother, Larry (Linda) Michaels and her nephew, Trevor Michaels, all of El Segundo, Calif. and her special friends, Amy Fiedler, Donna Hall, Charles Daniels and John Moncrief.
The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2001, in Smith Family Funeral Home, North, 1525 Hancock St. The Rev. C. Paul Higdon will officiate. Cremation will follow.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be, made in Lori's memory to Blue Water Hospice.
Thomas N. Ziehm
Thomas N. Ziehm, 53, of Port Huron died Tuesday, April 11, 2001, in his home.
He was born Oct. 21, 1947, in Mount Clemens to the late Nelson and Virginia (Duprey) Ziehm. He married
Theresa McLeod on March 21, 1989 in Richmond.
Mr. Ziehm was a deputy sheriff for 21 years in Macomb County He served as an infantry sergeant with the US. Army in Vietnam. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and enjoyed hunting and traveling.
Mr. Ziehm is survived by his wife; two sons, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald (Kathy) Ziehm of Sterling Heights and Mr. and Mrs. Daniel (Jennifer) Ziehm of Troy; two grandchildren, Gabriel and Sarah; two sisters, Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Marilyn) Charbonneau and Mr. and Mrs. Michael (Joyce) McDonald; a brother, Mr. and Mrs. William (Toni) Ziehm; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John (Judith) McLeod; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, David.
Visitation will be 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2001, in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home, Port Huron. The Rev. Stanley A. Wyczawski of St, Mary Catholic Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Allied Veterans cemetery.

William E. Worley
William E Worley, 69, of St. Clair Township died Sunday, March 25, 2001, in his home.
He was born Aug. 29, 1931, in Piggott, Ark., to the late Franklin and Eula Mowery Worley. He married
Beverly Levellier on Sept. 11, 1949, in Roseville,
Mr. Worley was an engineer at the General Motors Tech Center for 42 years. He also owned and operated Micrawil Machine Company and was a part-time instructor at St. Clair County Community College.
He was a pilot who loved to fly and also sailed with the Port Huron Yacht Club. For the past six years, he had enjoyed living on Grand Lake in Presque Isle.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra (Edward) Altenritter of Mason, Deborah (Michael) Riness of Traverse City and Krystyn (Dwaine) Havens of Seattle; three sons, Michael Worley, Craig Worley and his life partner, Janet, and William Worley Jr., all of St. Clair; 25 grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the Marysville Funeral Home. His son-in-law, Michael Riness, will officiate.

Bertha K. Adkins
Mrs. Bertha K. Adkins, 76, of Port Huron formerly of Macomb County, died Tuesday, July 17, 2001, in Marwood Nursing and Rehab after a long illness.
She was born Aug. 9, 1924, in Liverpool, W. Va.
She was married
to Donald E. Adkins, who died earlier.
She was the daughter of the late Isaac and Docia Hornbeck.
She was a homemaker and longtime waitress.
She is survived by brother and sister-in-law, Isaac and Beverly Hornbeck of Marysville; her sister, Betty Starlin of Salem, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews;
She is preceded in death by a son, David Adkins; three sisters; and four brothers.
Funeral services will be 1 p. m. Friday in Kemble cemetery, Elkrun Township, Ohio.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, in Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave., at 17th Street.
Memorial tribute may be made to Marwood Nursing and Rehab.
