Russell E. Reynolds
Russell E. Reynolds, 81, of Zephyr Hills, Fla., and Mio passed away Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001.
He was born to Robert and Ada Reynolds on May 31, 1919 in Sanilac County, and married
Helen L. Whitmore on Oct. 5, 1941.
He is survived by his wife, Helen L. Reynolds; his two sons, David (Mary) Reynolds of Almont, and Russell "Bob" (Carole) Reynolds of Fort Gratiot Township; six grandchildren, Lori Petrella, Jacque Reynolds, Kimberly (Dennis) Niece, Ronald (Cheryl) May, Edwin (Cathy) Coke and Steven (Kelly) Vickery; seven great-grandchildren, Joey, Lee, Jeff, Nicole, Delainey, Kate and Sarah.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2001 in Smith Family Funeral Home North, 1525 Hancock St. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery.
Visitation will be in the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2001.
Memorial contributions may be made in Russell's memory to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
Hubert J. Reaume
Hubert J. Reaume, 83, of Fort Gratiot died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, in his home of a short illness.
He was born on April 10, 1917, in Windsor, Ontario.
Hubert married
Olive M. Boyd, on April 21, 1945, in Windsor, Ontario.
He was employed at Jerry Smith's Brake and Steering for 10 years. He then worked for the St. Clair County Road Commission for 28 years. He also was a blacksmith following a family tradition.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and was formerly an usher. He also was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 521.
He is survived by his wife, Olive M. Reaume of Fort Gratiot; four sons, Robert J. Reaume of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Hubert A. Reaume of Sarnia, Lawrence J. Reaume of Port Huron and Brian E, Reaume of Fort Gratiot; two daughters, Cheryl R. (Mark) Sheldon of Croswell and Sandra M. (Vance) Richardson of Fort Gratiot; 12 grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Bisson of Waterloo, Ontario.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis; three sisters; and two brothers.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 1, 2001, in St. Mary Catholic Church, The Rev. Stanley A. Wyczawski, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2001, in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home, and 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday in the church.
A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Blue Water Hospice.
Jean Cooper
Mrs. E. Jean Cooper, 82, of Burtchville Township, died, Friday, Nov. 7, 2003 after a long illness.
She was born September 11, 1922 in Port Huron to the late William and Rhea Hicks.
She married
Oliver Cooper on August 8, 1940 in Port Huron. He died August 25, 2002.
Mrs. Cooper was an executive secretary for the City of Port Huron. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, the Gideons International Auxiliary and was formerly active with the Port Huron Little Theatre.
She is survived by two sons, Arthur Cooper of Burtchville and Mr. and Mrs. Frank (Penny) Cooper of Atlanta; a daughter-in-law, Joey Cooper of Port Huron; seven grandchildren, Michael Cooper, Holly Heinneman, Martin Cooper, Benjamin Cooper, William Cooper, Andrea Cooper and Christina Cooper; a great- granddaughter, Jenna; two brothers, the Rev. and Mrs. John (Marilyn) Hicks and the Rev. and Mrs. Thomas (Janet) Hicks; two sisters-in-law, Fran and Jane Hicks; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Donald Hicks.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 7 and 9 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, 2003 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Rev. Thomas Hicks will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fort Gratiot. Her grandchildren will be pallbearers.

Jack Burns
Jack L. Burns, 77 of Port Huron passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, in Mercy Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born Jan. 8, 1926, in Port Huron, the son of the late Alfred and Ida Todd Burns.
On Sept. 15, 1944, he married
Betty Jefferson.
Jack served with the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II.
He worked for Peacock Lumber Co., owned Marys-ville Lumber Co., retired from Tunnel Lumber Co., and worked part time in the Times Herald Circulation Department and for Smith Family Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Burns, of Port Huron; his six children, Judy Perry and Rick (Ruth) Burns, both of North Street, Terry (Elda) Burns of Port Huron, Connie Jean (Terry) Gardner of Trenton, Fla., Debra (John) Silver of Lakepor and Carol (Tom) Shepherd of Port Huron; 25 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruby (Glenn) Weaver and Doris (Lawrence) McFarland, both of Port Huron; his sister, Reva Harris, Zephyrhills, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Rozella Burns of Port Huron and Beulah McClellan of Daytona, Fla.: a brother-in-law, Jim (Phyllis) Jefferson of Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Eldon, Alex, and Lewis Burns; two sisters-in-law; six brothers-in-law; and two great- granddaughters.
Cremation has taken place.
Contributions may be made in Jack's memory to Washington Avenue United Methodist Church or American Cancer Society.

Adelaide R. Ward
Adelaide R. Ward, 88, of Port Huron Township passed away Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, in the Evangelical Home in Gratiot Township.
She was born to Joseph and Pauline DeBettencourt on Oct. 10, 1912, in Martha's Vineyard, Mass.
She married
Herman N. Ward in November 1934. He passed away on Nov. 13, 1972.
She was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church.
Adelaide is survived by her granddaughter, Dawn (Ed) Wilson of Port Huron; her brother, Larry DeBettencourt, Rochester, Mass.; and two nieces, Yvonne Benton and Aggie Mendoca, both of Rochester, Mass.
She was preceded in death by her three children, Herman and Charles Ward and Pauline Levitt.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, in Smith Family Funeral Home-South, 1230 Seventh St. The Rev. Phyllis I Hormann, pastor of St. Martin Lutheran Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2001, in the funeral home.

Raymond Steele Spencer
Mr. Raymond Steele Spencer, 68, of Port Huron, died Feb. 12, 2001, in Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit unexpectedly.
He was born Dec. 24, 1932, in Port Huron. He was married
to Barbara E. Gerrow on June 24, 1953, in Indiana. He was the son of the late Arthur and Katherine Spencer.
He was a thoroughbred racing jockey for many years and retired from New Haven Foundry.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Walter Spencer of Port Huron; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Wanda Spencer of Port Huron; daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Richard Doman of Kimball Township; grandchildren, Gregory Jr., Dale, Kelli, Jamie, Carolann, Melissa, Renee and Philip; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Ryan and Megan; sister, Katherine Kaiser of Grand Island, N.Y.; brother, Richard Spencer of Glendale, California. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday in the Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave. at 17th St. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2001, and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Jowett Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Walter Spencer, Gregory Spencer, Richard Doman, Gregory Spencer Jr., Dale Day 11 and Philip Spencer.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Berneice M. Uligian
Berneice M. Uligian, 84, of Port Huron died Monday, February 5, 2001, in her home after a long illness.
She was born July 27, 1916, in Detroit, and has been a Port Huron area resident since 1965.
She married
Charles G. Uligian on Oct. 25, 1935, in LaGrange, Ind. Chuck died March 6, 1998.
Berneice was co-owner of Spike Furniture and very active in First Congregational Church in Port Huron and Pontiac. She was involved with the symphony, and scouting and many school activities while living in Pontiac. She was a former member of Zonta International, Port Huron Chapter, and Circle 6 of First Congregational Church.
Berneice is survived by two daughters Jo Ann U. (Lee) Aplin of' Port Huron and Susan U. (John) Pfleeger of Delmar, Calif.; a son, C. Gregory (Barbara) Uligian of Louisville, Ky.; granddaughter, Leslie (Greg) Gagnon; three grandsons, Eric Pfleeger, Jeff (Saundra) Uligian and Tim (Liz) Uligian; granddaughter, Beth (Greg) Collins and great-grandchildren Turner and Kelsey Uligian.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amy Aplin, and brother, Owen Middlebrook.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2001, in First Congregational Church. The Rev. Dr. Robert E. Starkey Sr., minister of First Congregational Church, will officiate.
Visiting hours will follow the service in Grace Kier Hall of First Congregational Church.

Isabel I. Wilczynski
Isabel I. Wilczynski, 77, of Port Huron, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, in her home.
She was born Dec. 18, 1923, in Detroit to the late Andrew arid Bertha Kozuchowski Zeilinski.
She was a lifelong resident of Yale arid Port Huron.
She married
Stanley Wilczynski on Nov. 24, 1945, in California. He died July 17, 1986.
Mrs. Wilczynski retired from Prestolite Wire Co. after 13 and a half years of service. She was a member of St, Stephen Catholic Church.
She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 8465, the American Legion and the Blue Water Aerie 3702 Fraternal Order of Eagles. She was a former member of the Ruby Lioness Club.
She is survived by a son, Dennis S. of Port Huron; a daughter, Theresa L. Miller of California; a grandson, Mr. and Mrs. Wade C. (Trish) Miller; two great-grandchildren, Cole . and Chase, all of Casper, Wy. a sister, Eugenia Sadowski of Roseville; her sister-in-law Dorothy Skalinowski of Sandusky; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law-, nieces and nephews; and special loved ones, Doris and Robert Ganhs of Port Huron.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Wednesday and Thursday in the Pollock-Randall Funeral Horne. A rosary will be said at 7 P.M. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23 2001, in the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home, Port Huron. The Rev. C. Paul Higdon will officiate.
Burial will be in Woodland cemetery, Port Huron.
Pallbearers will be Gary Goddard, William Miller, Robert Gorham, Gerald Becktel, William Wilczynski, Wade Miller, and Terry Smiclewski.
