Marion Grace Compeau, age 85, of Weidman, passed away Friday, May 26, 2006, at her home.
Funeral services for Marion will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel with Rev. Nancy Casey-Fulton officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Michigan. Marion was born October 21, 1920, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan the daughter of Bruce and Elsie (Edge) Mudge. She married
Norman Joseph Compeau on February 22, 1947, in Centerline, Michigan.
Marion liked to entertain, enjoyed crafts, going to the casino and crocheting. She loved dancing with her husband and had a great sense of humor.
Marion is survived by her children: a son, Neal (Martha) Compeau and a daughter Bonnie Pandori both of Weidman; granddogs, Gemini and Koda; sister, Alice.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Norman on April 13, 2006; sisters, Ellen and Ruth; and son-in-law, Thomas Pandori

Rose Weisburn, age 69, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at Central Michigan Community Hospital.
Funeral services for Rose will be held on Friday, May 26, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel with Jerry Sills officiating. Interment will follow in the Kelly cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 25, 2006 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Clark Funeral Chapel.
Rose was born on April 29, 1937 in Shepherd, the daughter of Oscar Holliday and Pearl and Onie Roberts. She worked as a care giver and enjoyed crafts.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Jerry) Bennett of Morristown, AZ; grandchildren, Autumn Heiden and fiance’, Michael Smith and Terry Crawley, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Austin Singer, Alyssa Heiden, Zane Heiden, Cassie Loomis, Dallas Crawley and Lexis Crawley; brother, William (Clauda) Holliday and sisters, Kathryn Yost and Karen (Duane) Emrick.
Rose was preceded in death by her mother on May 20, 2001; James Weisburn in July 2002 and great-granddaughter, Carolyn Rose Janetski on August 4, 1995.

Florence Ruperta Benaske, 87, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Friday, May 19, 2006 at Central Michigan Community Hospital.

Florence was born on July 8, 1918 in Farwell, MI the daughter of August and Rachel (Colosky) Stayler. She worked as a waitress at Andy’s Restaurant and was a cook for Leaton School. Florence enjoyed her family, fishing, camping and cooking.
Florence is survived by her children, Sidney (Linda) Benaske of Mt. Pleasant, Lawrence Benaske and Fiancée, Leslie of Capac, Raymond (Mary Jane) Benaske and Frances (Timothy) Ash both of Mt. Pleasant; sixteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and brother: Sidney Stayler of Chesterfield, MI.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Francis; son, August; sisters, Ethel and Sidonna and brother, Otto.

Addison Catherine Courtney, infant daughter of Joshua and Dawn (McConkie) Courtney passed away on Friday, May 19, 2006 at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO.
Funeral services for Addison will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2006 at 12 noon from Clark Funeral Chapel with Deacon Larry Fussman officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Gardens cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Addison is survived by her parents, Josh and Dawn Courtney of Emporia, Kansas; grandparents, Scott (Phyllis) McConkie of Blanchard, Catherine McConkie of Mt. Esther Rose Ward, 86, of Weidman went to be with her Lord on Friday, May 19, 2006 at Isabella County Medical Care Facility with her family by her side.
A Funeral Mass for Esther will be held on Monday, May 22, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Beal City with Father John Cotter officiating. Interment will follow in the Two Rivers cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 21, 2006 from 3-8 p.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. A prayer service will be held Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at the church.
Esther was born on August 22, 1919 in Beal City, the daughter of Peter and Mamie (Blundy) Martin. She married
Oliver Ward on January 14, 1943 in Beal City. Esther was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. She loved her grand children and great-grandchildren. Esther enjoyed playing cards.
Esther is survived by her children, Roxanna (Richard) Becker of Mecosta and Allen (Nora) Ward of Barryton; Six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Esther was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and one sister.

Moose, Joseph E.
August 1, 1932 - May 13, 2006
Joseph Edward Moose was born in West Virginia on August 1, 1932 to Harold and Marie (Bingle) Moose and died on May 13, 2006. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1950. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1951 and took his basic and military police training in Georgia. He served one year in Korea during the Korean War as a Military Policeman with the 2nd Division and reached the rank of Sergeant before discharge. He worked as a journeyman plasterer for the next 14 years. During this time he married
Mary Randal and became the father of two sons, David and Thomas. He went to work for Michigan Consolidated Gas Company in 1964 as a service man. He retired in 1994 with 30 years of service. Joe was a life member of the Clare VFW Post #5738, a member of the Harrison American Legion Post #404, a member of the Yankee Air Force of Saginaw and the National Rifle Association. He loved hunting and fishing until his health forced him to quit. He also had hobbies of collecting antique oil lamps and working on his HO model railroad layouts and running his trains. He also restored a 1952 Willys Jeep.
He is survived by his second wife Karla (Cooper), son David and wife Lyn and grandson, Aidan, son Thomas and wife Kathy and granddaughters, Sarah and Elizabeth; stepdaughter Marcie and husband Tim Otteman and step-granddaughter, Kaitlin; Father and Mother in law Ronald and Donna Cooper. He was predeceased by his parents, first wife Mary and sister Jane.
Funeral services for Joe will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at 11 a.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ron Vredeveld officiating. Interment will follow in the Cherry Grove cemetery in Clare. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 from 4-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, May 17 from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Michigan Community Hospital Emergency Room for Equipment, VFW Pettit-Kapplinger Post 5738 in Clare, Pere Marquette District Library in Clare or Hospice of Central Michigan. Freman Aaron Fraley, 83, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at Covenant Health Care in Saginaw.
Funeral services for Freman will be held on Friday, May 12, 2006 at 2 p.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel with Pastor Gordon Rydman and Pastor Joe Atchinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Gardens cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11 a.m. until time of service. Freman was born on October 11, 1922 in Franklin, Ohio the son of William and Adde Belle (Brown) Fraley. He served as Staff Sergeant in the United States Army - Air Force from 1942 until 1965. Freman served in World War II for 3 years. During his service, Freman was awarded the American Theater Ribbon, EAME Theater Ribbon with 4 bronze stars, Good Conduct Award and the Victory Medal. He also received the German Occupational Medal and National Defense Service Medal. Freman retired from the Air Force after 25 years of service. He married
Pearl Kortman on February 16, 1946. Freman worked at a Fire Department for 22 years, Louisiana State Home for 10 years, as a woodcutter for Gordon Johncock for 10 years, Grambling State Hospital and Grambling Louisiana Transportation. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church.
Freman is survived by his children, Toni (R.B.) Wilson and Mark (Donna) Fraley both of Louisiana, William (Caroline) Fraley of OK, Terry (Ron) Edgar, Kim (Randy) Bergy, Jeffrey Fraley and Kathy Woodbury all of Mt. Pleasant and Deborah Thorn of Coleman; seventeen grandchildren and Twenty-six great-grandchildren.
Freman was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl in 1996; parents, brothers, sisters and 3 sons-in-law.
Langlois, Beverly Anne

Beverly Anne “Canute” Langlois, 77, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2006, at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility.

Beverly was born December 14, 1928, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Clair and Thelma Irene (Lyness) Canute. She was married
to Edmund James Langlois, who preceded her in death on March 5, 1981. Before Beverly’s retirement, she had worked for 17 years as a nurse for Central Michigan Community Hospital. Prior to that, she had worked in food service for Central Michigan University. Beverly was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Beverly is survived by her children, Edmund Leroy (Reni Lauer) Langlois of Remus, Samuel Kaye Langlois of Mt. Pleasant, Michael David (Sandy Howard) Langlois of Mt. Pleasant; 4 grandchildren, Steven Kaye (Ronnie Wheeler)Langlois, Candace Lorraine (Dan Coffell) Langlois, Edmund Joseph (Kristina McCann) Langlois, and David Nedry Langlois; 6 great-grandchildren, John Elza Fetterly, Samuel Gordon Langlois, Nicole Irena Langlois, Jasmine Lorraine Coffell, Dylan William Coffell, and Karana Laken Langlois; brother Clair Junior (Patricia) Canute of Mt. Pleasant; sister Priscilla Jane (Leroy) Fisher of Marengo, OH.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband in 1981, great-granddaughter, Amanda Anne in 1989, daughter-in-law Sharon (Decker) Langlois in 1993, and granddaughter Sheila Kay Langlois in 2005.
Pasch, Raldon Michael
June 22, 1925 - April 29, 2006
Raldon Michael Pasch, 80, of Mt. Pleasant, entered into eternal life on Saturday, April 29, 2006, at Central Michigan Community Hospital.
A Funeral Mass for Ron will be held at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Beal City on Tuesday, May 2, at 10:30 a.m., with Fr. John Cotter officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph cemetery. The family will receive friends at St. Joseph the Worker Church on Sunday, April 30, from 6-9 p.m., with a rosary at 7:30 p.m., Monday, May 1, from 6-9 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., and on Tuesday, May 2, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic School or for the Pasch Family’s wishes. Envelopes will be available at the church or Clark Funeral Chapel.
Ron was born on June 22, 1925, in Beal City, the son of Michael and Lillian (Sebenick) Pasch. He married
Rosalia Faber on November 6, 1948. Next to his family and grandchildren, farming was the love of Ron’s life. Two of his sons as well as his grandsons continue to operate the family farm.
Ron was a Navy World War II veteran. He attended MSU on a Kellogg scholarship after the service and then came back to farming. He was an excellent and prosperous farmer He retired in 1988 and moved off the farm to Beal City. Ron was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church. He was a life member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3651. Ron had served on the DHIA Board and the Board of Directors for Soil Conservation. He loved music, dancing, playing cards, and family get-togethers at Littlefield Lake.
Ron is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rosalia “Sally” Pasch; six children, Michael (Gail) Pasch and Robert (Mary) Pasch, both of Beal City, Stanley (Ann) Pasch of Lake Leelanau, Leo(Pauline) Pasch of DeWitt, Nancy (Leo) Albert of Stanton, Joyce (David) Timm of Plymouth, and daughter-in-law Betty Pasch of Beal City, 37 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 sister-in-law, Katherine Pasch.
Ron was preceded in death by his son Mark, his parents, two sisters, and three brothers.

Armella Rose Myers, 91, of Mt. Pleasant went to be with her Lord on April 25, 2006 at Central Michigan Community Hospital with her family by her side.
Funeral Mass for Armella will be held on Friday, April 28th at 11 a.m. from Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Robert Byrne officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvary cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 27th from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel and on Friday, April 28th from 10 a.m. until time of service at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or the Donor’s choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel and the church.
Armella was born on March 26, 1915 in Shepherd the daughter of Herman and Frances (Meyer) Hoffman. She married
Jerome “Jerry” Myers on May 4, 1946 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church. Armella was a member of the 3rd Order of St. Frances and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed her family and her catholic faith.
Armella is survived by her children, Mary (Robert) Bauman of Saginaw, Barbara (Paul) Smigiel of Henrico, NC, Ethel (Charles) McPhall of Mt. Pleasant, John (Cindy) Myers of Round Rock, TX and Thomas (Linda) Myers of Midland; grandchildren, Rob Bauman, Andrew (Stephanie) Bauman, Scott Smigiel, Keri (Scot) Conant, Stacey McPhall, B.J. (Brie) McPhall, Aaron McPhall, Becky (Jeremy) Roof, David Myers, Amber Myers and Matthew Myers; great-grandchildren, Ben Bauman and Caelan Conant; brothers, Anthony, Raymond, Joe, Dave and Ted Hoffman and sisters, Delores Coughlin and Phyllis Roy.
