Edward Dean Friend, 49, of Howell died suddenly June 25, 2008, at his residence.
Mr. Friend was born July 10, 1958, in Ann Arbor, the son of Ceril G. and Dorice (Bentley) Friend Jr. He attended Ferris State College.
Mr. Friend married
Marsha Nottingham April 22, 1989. He loved pets and was a dedicated target shooter and audiophile. He also enjoyed cooking and had a crazy sense of humor.
Surviving are his wife, Marsha Nottingham; mother, Dorice Friend; cousins, Patrick, Timothy and Michael Birtles, Dan, Dennis and Peggy Williams, Don and Robert Friend, Katherine LeToureau, Jerry Lee, Bonnie and Barbara Burk; aunts, Marjorie Williams, Mildred Smith and Letha Friend.
His father and grandparents preceded him in death.
A funeral was held June 29 at Sharp Funeral Homes' Fenton Chapel. A graveside service was held June 30 in Marion. Memorial contributions may be made to Last Chance Pet Rescue.
CLINTON B. FISK
Manchester
Clinton B. Fisk, 74, of Manchester died March 29, 2008, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, following a two-month battle with complications from asthma and emphysema. He was born Nov. 2, 1933, in Clinton, the son of Harold W. and A. Evelyn (Bowie) Fisk.
Mr. Fisk was a resident of Manchester, graduating from Manchester High School in 1952.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene (Fuller) Fisk, whom he married
Sept. 20, 1958, at Emanuel Evangelical and Reformed Church, now Emanuel United Church of Christ, in Manchester.
Also surviving is his grandson, Bradley Michael Fisk of Addison; a granddaughter, Shelby Marie Fisk; a daughter-in-law, Christine A. Fisk of Holiday, Fla.; stepgrandsons, Larry Angelocci of Tampa and Brian (Michelle) Kupsov of Colorado Springs, Colo.; step-great-granddaughters, Amanda and Aubrea; sisters, Barbara (James) Brown of Clinton and Margery Hucke of Fishers, Ind.; sisters-in-law, Elaine Fuller of Lula, Ga., and Mary (Douglas) LeFevre of Eden, Ga.; a former daughter-in-law, Patricia (George) Merriman of Addison; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Evelyn Fisk; his in-laws, Russell and Imo Fuller; and his only son, Michael, who died in April 2006.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held 11 a.m. July 12 at West Side United Methodist Church, 900 S. Seventh St., in Ann Arbor. The Rev. Tracy Huffman will officiate.
ELIZABETH JEAN RADLOFF
Saline
Elizabeth Jean Radloff, 80, of Saline died July 7, 2008, at the Evangelical Home of Saline after an extended illness. She was born Dec. 7, 1927, to Andrew and Amanda (Scherdt) Hartman.
Mrs. Radloff was a lifelong resident of Saline and a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ. She was retired from the University of Michigan Alumni Records Office. She was an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
She is survived by her son, Rick (Barbara) Radloff of Saline; two granddaughters, Melissa (Joshua) Reeves of Saline and Laura Radloff of Canton; a great-grandson, Noah Reeves; and a sister, Phyllis (Ed) Doll of Milan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Milton Hartman and Willard Hartman, and her sister, Ruth Edwards.
A funeral was held Wednesday at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home. The Rev. Patti Kenney officiated. Burial was at Oakwood cemetery in Saline.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ or the Saline Evangelical Home. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Age 75, departed this life Friday, February 11, 2005 at Bortz Health Care of Ypsilanti. She was born February 18, 1929 in Lowdes County, AL. She was a Proverbs 31 woman. The list of her gifts are numerous and she excelled in them all. She was a master at fishing, quilting, upholstering, gardening, homemaking, sports and community organization. The people that knew her are the testament of her time on earth. Survivors include- two sons, Willie (Ella) Maull of Virginia Beach, VA and Lee (Betty) Maull of Cocoa, FL; one daughter, Cris (Robert) Maull-Hill of Mays Landing, NJ; two sisters, Ella (Calvin) Stephenson of Ypsilanti and Annie Hardy of LaGrange, GA; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Marshall; stepfather, Felt Marshall; father, Andrew Maull; grandmother, Henrietta Walker; and two sisters, Ruth Green and Cora Reed. Age 95, passed away Monday, February 7, 2005. She was born May 6, 1909 in Hindman, KY, the daughter of John and Ella (Combs) Fugate. Lois moved to Michigan in 1943. She was retired from Chrysler, a member of the Lively Travellers and volunteered at the Thrift Shop Survivors include- one son, John (Sally) Bailey; one daughter, Glenda Sue Weber; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, a son, Bill Gaston, three sisters and five brothers. The funeral service will be 1-00 P.M. Thomas V. Baker in Iuka, MS and he preceded her in death July 3, 2001. Joyce was a member of the Ypsilanti Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include- two sons, George (Roxann) and Jerry Baker, both of Ypsilanti; three granddaughters, Michelle (Ron) Herring, Kristi (Keith) Brashear and Melissa Baker; three great grandchildren, Karrie, Kurt and Kaitlyn; and five brothers and sisters, Mary Ruth, Willie, Earlene, Edward and Kenneth. Age 81, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2005 following an extended illness. He was born September 21, 1923 in Detroit, the son of Walter and Margaret (Yenson) Baker. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II and the U.S. Airforce during the Korean Conflict. Alvin was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ypsilanti and the L.O.O.M. Lodge #782. He enjoyed snowmobiling and bowling. Survivors include- his wife, Alice; two sons, Alvin (Lisa) Baker Jr. of Ypsilanti and Keith (Betty) Baker of Lehigh Acres, FL; two daughters, Karen (Rod) Kingslien of Fowlerville, MI and Janet (Harry) Moody of Ann Arbor; stepchildren, Karen Shubert of Ypsilanti and David (Pam) Raymond of Azalia, MI; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 40 years, Dorothy, in 1984 and one brother, Robert Baker in 2004. The funeral service will be 11-00 A.M. Age 89, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2005 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. She was born February 28, 1915 in Gilmore, KY, the daughter of John W. and Mollie (Little) Burcham. She was the valedictorian of her class in 1934, graduated from college in 1938 and from the Kahler School of Nursing in 1941 with her degree of registered nurse. On August 17, 1938, she married
Robert O. Belcher in Berea, KY and he survives. Ruby was active in nursing in a variety of settings, including Beyer Hospital surgery, camp nurse in Waterloo, dental assistant to Dr. Art Smith and then was invited to the MI State Normal School Health Service, where she remained until retiring in 1980. In addition to her husband of 66 years, survivors include- one son, Harold Belcher of Ypsilanti; one daughter, Anna M. (Clifford Jack Jr.) Prentice of Cayuga, TX; and two grandchildren, Benjamin Belcher and Jolie Prentice. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. The funeral service will be 11-00 A.M. Age 56, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2005 at U of M. She fought a long and courageous battle against her illness. She was born April 5, 1948 in Sapporo, Japan and was later adopted by Larry and Ann Scott. On August 27, 1971, she married
William Borgstadt at St. Joseph Catholic Church and he survives. Anna worked at Perry Child Development Center as a teacher’s assistant, retiring in 2000. She was an extremely creative seamstress, artist and dancer. She also was an extremely loving, giving and talkative person. In addition to her loving husband of 33 years, survivors include- one daughter, Sarah Borgstadt of Willis; mother, Ann Scott of Willis; four sisters, Patricia Jean (David) Engelhardt, Linda Sue (Greg) Lucot, Barbara Ellen McCloskey and Virginia Carol “Ginger” (Michael) Symons; three brothers, Kenneth Allen, Martin Paul “Butch” (Karla) Scott and Richard Bruce (Kim) Scott; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Larry. Cremation has taken place. There will be a gathering of friends and relatives at the home of Dale and Peggy Rice, 529 Fairview Circle, Ypsilanti this Sunday, February 13 from 2-4 P.M. The memorial service will be 11-00 A.M. Age 79, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2005. He was born September 30, 1925 in Dickson, TN, the son of Zollie and Eva (Luther) Bowen. Mr. Bowen was a member of the Willis Baptist Church and a former member of the Moose Lodge #782. He enjoyed bowling, pool, fishing and his grandchildren. He was employed by Ford Motor Company, Ypsilanti plant for over 30 years, retiring in 1983. He moved to Knoxville, TN from 1988-2002 before returning to Ypsilanti. Survivors include- his wife, Grace; three daughters, Sharon Sweeney of Ypsilanti, Gloria (Gary) Shaw of Milan and Denise (Fran) Hawkins of Ypsilanti; one son, Michael (Dieu Huong) of Grand Rapids; 14 grandchildren, Crystal Raymond, Dale Raymond, Melissa Green, Donald Lyons, Dennis Hill, Daryle Hill, Derek Hill, Jamie Saxton, Stacy Adams, Katie Hawkins, Lee Hawkins, Amanda Hawkins, Daniel Bowen and Brandon Bowen; 19 great grandchildren; three sisters, Ida Bradford of Knoxville, TN, Flossie Grenham of Seymour, TN and Bessie Tidwell of FL; and many extended family members, including the Powell family. Age 70, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at his daughter’s home. He was born July 25, 1934 in Detroit, the son of George and Myrtle (Conklin) Bradley. Burt was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a charter bus driver for 30 years. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Utica, Cornerstone Baptist Church in Ypsilanti, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Transit Union Local #1639. Survivors include- one daughter, Linda (Terry) Morgan of Ypsilanti; one son, Daniel (Melissa) of Utica; eight grandchildren, Joseph, Nichole, Jeremy, Heather, Kari, Kristopher, Shawn and Chase; three great grandchildren, Joseph Jr., Jasper and Hailey; stepbrother, Gene (Helen) Sult of KY; dear friends, Raymond (Darlene) Wolf of Ypsilanti and Joan Uhrick of Utica; two nephews and one niece.
