Survivors include one son, Wesley J. Karinen and his wife Sarah; three grandchildren, Renee Karinen of Brighton, Rachelle Stawiarski of Novi and Craig Karinen of Bullhead City, Arizona; great-grandmother of Tayler Ann and Morgan Rae Karinen. Memorial service will be held Thursday, September 3, at Our Savior Catholic Church, 610 N. NAIMISH, LUCILLE JOAN Passed gracefully into the arms of our Lord, at home on August 31, 1998. Lucille was born on September 25, 1918 in Miles City, Montana, she resided in Farmington Hills. She was the dearest mother, sister & friend in the world and will be forever missed by those whose lives she touched. "Mickey" as her family affectionately called her was employed as a Veterinary Nurse in the 60s. She regularly assisted in surgery as well as contributed to the well being of animals in need of care. Lucille was known for her humor, compassion and love for the Lord. She made many friends during her travels from coast to coast. Lucille is survived by her loving daughter, Carmen Naimish of Santa Barbara, CA; her devoted sister Helen Painter of Waterford, MI; two grandsons, Michael and Christopher Erat and three great granddaughters, Tiffany, Katlin and Courtney. She was the beloved mother of Frederick Erat, who preceded her in death. In keeping with Lucille's wishes, no services are planned.
