KLEI, LOUIS WILLIAM, Guadalajara, Mexico. Age 72. Died August 7, 1998 at his home in Guadalajara, Mexico of congestive heart failure. He was born March 25, 1926, the son of Louis T. and Edna Klei. He was a resident of Detroit until he retired to Guadalajara, Mexico upon his retirement as City Engineer for the City of Detroit. On 7-23- 49 he married Shirley Rundorff who preceded him in death on July 18, 1978. Louis was very proud to be a Marine Corp veteran (5th Marine Division) of WWII, participating in action at Iwo Jima. Early in his career he was part of the architectural firm of Bery-Klei & Assoc., Oak Park, MI. Survivors include 2 children, Karen (Lew) Stevens of Ann Arbor and Katherine (Mark) Tripp of Center Lovell, Maine; 2 grandchildren Aaron and Ashanah also of Maine; a sister, Barbara (Allen) Jahnke of Sterling Hts; a sister-in-law Virginia (Ross) Fleury of Traverse City; several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service was held at All Saints Lutheran Church in Guadalajara Mexico on August 12, 1998. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the All Saints Lutheran Church, A. MAHER, ANN MARIE (LANDSIEDEL) Ann Maher of Gladwin and formerly of Tawas City and Detroit died Saturday, August 22, 1998 at home with her family after a long illness. She was born Oct. 14, 1932 in Detroit to George and Lucille (Richards) Landsiedel. She graduated from Saint John Berchman grade school in 1946 and from Dominican High School in 1950. She married Richard Maher, June 19, 1954 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Harper Woods; he survives. Also surviving are three sons Michael (Amy) Maher of Lake Orion, John (Roberta) Maher of Del Mar, CA, and Tom (Tracey) Maher of Romeo; four daughters Mary (Taylor) Jennett of National City, Beth McMurray of Midland, Kelly (Dan) Moore of Au Gres, and Patty (John Knowlton) Maher of Battle Creek; five grandsons Daniel Moore, Nicholas Moore, Jonathan McMurray, Joseph McMurray and Scott Jennett; four grand daughters Elizabeth Moore, Angela Maher, Kathleen Maher and Kari Jennett; brothers Ron Landsiedel of Bethlehem, PA, and Fred Landsiedel of Grosse Pointe Woods; sisters Kathryn Hansen of Flint, Peggy Mueller of Clinton Twp, and Mary Landsiedel of Mount Clemens.
