FERRELL, ANGELINE MARY Age 71. passed away peacefully following a long struggle with Progressive Supra- nuclear Palsy on August 7, 1999. Loving mother to Joanne M. Park (William), Linda F. Carey (Thomas), and Lisa F. Byrski (John). Dear grandmother to Erin, Sean and Devin Byrski. In addition to her children and grandchildren, survivors include her mother, Anna Divinski of Brantford, Ontario; a brother, Joseph Kemp, of Oakville, Ontario; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Farrell was predeceased by her husband, Daniel. Mrs. Farrell worked for many years at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak as a dietary aide. She was formerly a member of The Shrine of the Little Flower for over thirty years. Visitation Sunday 2-9 p.m. at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons Inc., 54880 Van Dyke at 25 Mile in Shelby. FORD, WILLIAM DOUGLAS Age 38 of Swanton, Ohio. passed away August 3, 1999. Doug was a graduate of Birmingham Seaholm High School and Hillsdale College and was a member of the ATO Fraternity and of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. GARVIN, JOHN "JACK" JOSEPH Age 75 of Prudenville, formerly of Mt. Clemens, died Friday. Jack was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church of Prudenville, K of C Council #6548 of Houghton Lake, a life member of Houghton-Higgins Lake Elks Lodge #1982, Houghton Lake Moose Lodge #1616, a past Commadore of the Huron Pointe Yacht Club and the Anchor Bay Yachting Assn., American Banking Assn., Michigan Marine & RV Dealers Assn., and the Michigan Board of Realtors. Jack was a De Lasalle alumni of 1942. He served in the US Marine Corps during WW II. He worked for Michigan National Bank from 1964 to 1985, reaching the level of Sr. Vice President. He worked for 1st National Bank of Mt. Clemens as CEO from 1985 to 1990. Survivors include his loving wife, Margaret Jane Garvin. Dear children, Joseph E. Garvin of Summerland Key, FL, Terri (Thomas) Emerick of Prudenville, John P. (Janice) Garvin of Prudenville and James L. (Renee) Garvin of Harrison Twp. Nine grandchildren. Two sisters, Shirley (Pat) Dorn of Atlanta, GA and Joyce M. (Tom) Cook of Prudenville. One brother, Patrick H. Garvin of Harrison Hwp. He was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters, Kathy and Gerri Garvin. GAWLOWSKI, EVELYN (GEPHART) Of Marquette, age 76, August 6th. She was born on February 13, 1923 in St. Louis, MO. Worked as an R.N. in the Detroit area. HYDO, MICHAEL, Son of Natalie Hydo. Michael was a good person from day one. He was cheerful, outgoing, and hard working. He was a devoted husband, father and son. Michael was diagnosed with cancer in March of 1996. He was given six to seven months to live with conventional treatment. Michael opted to give alternative treatment a try at a clinic in Tijuana, Mexico. There, they were able to prolong his life for two and a half years. Throughout his illness, Michael continued to be a supportive, loving son. On December 6, 1998, he succumbed to cancer. He requested that his body be donated to the University of Mich. for cancer research.

MARKS, RICHARD E., Died August 6, 1999, at the age of 80. Mr. Marks retired from the Ford Mtr. Co. purchasing dept in 1984, after 38 years of service with the company. After retirement he worked 12 yrs. representing Lorro Inc. of Detroit. His earliest work was as a reporter with the Toledo News-Bee, a Script Howard Newspaper. During World War II, as a fighter pilot in the U.S. Army Air Force, he served in North Africa, Sicily, Italy and China. Called back to active duty in the Korean War, he served as a fighter pilot in the US Air Force and was held by the communist in N. Korea for 2 years as a prisoner of war. He was a 1947 graduate of the University of Michigan. He and his wife Mimi, who survives were long time residents of Plymouth MI. Mr. Marks was a member of the Veteran Of Foreign Wars. He had been a Ham Radio Operator for many years and held station call sign W8UTB. He was a active member of the Stu Rockefeller Radio Club.
