Philip T. Parker

Philip Thomas Parker, 74, of Wiscasset, died Tuesday, Octo-ber 6 at his residence.
Born in Wiscasset on December 23, 1923, he was the son of Earl P. and Alta M. (Hutchins) Parker.
In 1942 he graduated from Lincoln Academy and entered the United States Army where he served during World War II.
Survivors include his longtime companion of 24 years Winnifred Penlington; two daughters, Sharon Corr of Wilmington, New York, and Patricia Roe of Jay Froked River, New Jersey.
At. Mr. Parker's request there will be no funeral services.
Arrangements are by Mayo & Daigle Funeral Home, Federal Street, Wiscasset.
Helen Miller Parnall

Helen "Teenie" Parnall, 86, of Waldoboro, died September 13, in her home.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio, she taught school in upper New York State, then married, settled in Connecticut, and pursued a life-long interest in sculpting and the training of dogs.
Teenie and husband Robert retired to Florida in 1959 where, for over 30 years she was active as a trainer and a judge of obedience trials.
Upon the death of her husband after 55 years of marriage she moved to Damariscotta and became a familiar sight at the Waltz coffee counter where she made many friends.
The kindness of Winty Jacobs and those folks was a major contribution to her years of happiness in Maine.
Tennie was a gently soul. She never uttered an unkind word.
She is survived by a son, two grandchildren, two great- grandchildren and wonderful memories.
A family service will be held.
Frieda E. H. Paton

Frieda Estelle Hodgdon Paton, 81, of Boothbay, died Friday, November 6.
Mrs. Paton was a LPN at St. Mary's, St. Luke's and Memorial Hospital in Superior, Wisconsin and Duluth, Minnesota and at St. Andrews Hospital in Boothbay Harbor. She had many friends and happy memories and will be dearly missed by all. Special thoughts to her friends at the East Boothbay Methodist Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alexander B. Paton, and by a grandson, Joel Wahner.
Survivors include one daughter, Sheila and her husband Jerome Elavsky of Superior, Wisconsin; two sons, Neil and his wife JoAnn of Hubertus, Wisconsin and Mel- vin and his wife Jean of Burlington, Mass.; one sister, Melba Cunningham of Boothbay Harbor; five grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.
The funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 10 at the East Boothbay United Methodist Church. Burial followed in the Oaklawn cemetery in Boothbay Harbor. Arrangements were by Simmons & Harrington Funeral Home, Boothbay Harbor.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the East Boothbay United Methodist Church.
Paul L. Levesque

Paul F. Levesque, formerly of Jefferson, age 26 died Jan. 13 at Maine Medical Center after a long illness.
He was born in Augusta on March 4, 1972, the son of George R. and Joan (Geary) Levesque.
Paul attended Lincoln Academy in Newcastle and received his G.E.D. in 1993.
He worked for the Records Office/Student Information at the University of Maine in Augusta and most recently was employed at Maine Medical Lipid Center, assisting with their computer operation. Prior to that, Paul did volunteer work at Turning Point and Nursing Services.
He is survived by one sister, Ann L. Milliken of Bath, and one brothers Mark F. Levesque of Littleton, Mass., one niece Katelyn A. Levesque, and two nephews, William P. Levesque and Eric R. Levesque.
Visiting hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wed., Jan. 20 with a Funeral Service to be held at 7 p.m. during visiting hours at Mayo, Curtis & Hill Funeral Home, Bath with Fr. Joseph McKenna of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bath officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery in North Whitefield in the Spring. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Elizabeth B. Payson

Elizabeth B. Payson, a summer resident of East Boothbay, died Friday, July 23, at Johns Hopkins Hospital Oncology Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
Mrs. Payson, the only child of Draper Cook Bartlett Jr. and Eleanor Harding Bartlett, was born in Leesburg, Virginia and lived in the Washington, D.C. area her entire life.
An alumni of Georgetown University with a BSFS, Mrs. Payson was a parishioner at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Potomac for many years. She and her husband, a native of Portland, spent summers with their children at their cottage on Little River.
She worked at several area businesses and is remembered fondly by many of her co-workers.
Survivors include her husband, Walter M. Payson of Pasadena, Maryland; and two children, Catherine E. Payson and Andrew W. Payson, also of Pasadena, Maryland.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 29 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Potomac, Maryland. According to her wishes, her ashes will be interred in Maine later this summer.

Sidney R. Peachey

Sidney R. ``Sid" Peachey, 76, of Green Street, Augusta died Monday, September 14 at his home.
Born in South Portland, he was a son of George and Dena Anderson Peachey.
During World War II, he served as a lieutenant junior grade in the Navy. He was an aviator and an instructor at night fighter school.
In 1949, he graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in chemical engineering, Tau Beta Pi, and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.
In 1951, he and his brothers, Victor and Lafayette, started Peachey Builders. The retired in 1996 after a long and distinguished career.
Mr. Peachey was a private pilot for 28 years and a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. He also was a member of Penney Memorial United Baptist Church in Augusta, the Masonic Blue Lodge in Mount Vernon, the Kora Temple Shrine, the Augusta Country Club and the Maine Seniors Golf Association. He was past chairman of the Augusta Planning Board.
In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, flying, boating and photography, and had a special fondness for backyard fireworks. For the past 32 years, he enjoyed spending summers with his family at Ocean Point.
His wife, Alice W. Peachey, died in 1996.
Surviving are a son, Gary R. of Augusta; two daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Holly R.) Sanborn of Saco and Mrs. Peter (Penny P.) McCarthy of Manchester; and six grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 17 at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church Street in Augusta. A funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 18 at Penney Memorial United Baptist Church with the Rev. David Rinas officiating. Burial will be in Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Ruth M. Peaslee

Ruth M. (Wilson) Peaslee, 78, Whitefield, died Feb. 21 at her home with her family.
Born in Nobleboro on Sept. 2, 1920, she was the daughter of Albert and Lydia Sprague Weaver, and attended school in Jefferson.
She had been a practical nurse for many years at Wilson's Nursing Home in Coopers Mills.
Mrs. Peaslee enjoyed playing beano and watching horse and stock car racing. She had attended the First Apostolic Church in Chelsea.
Survivors include 11 sons, Mike Wilson and Albert Peaslee, both of Augusta, Charlie Wilson of Windsor, Pastor Harold Peaslee Jr. of Chelsea, and Robert Wilson, Donald Peaslee, Benjamin Peaslee, Edward Peaslee, Paul Peaslee, Ricky Peaslee, and Dale Peaslee, all of Whitefield; five daughters, Serena Delano of Windsor, Patsy Mitten of Augusta, and Alta Miller, Pauline Peaslee, and Tina Melanson, all of Whitefield; one brother, Donald Weaver of Jefferson; three sisters, Bernice Maeoise of Alfred, and Shirley Peaslee and Kathy Waltz, both of Jefferson; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mrs. Peaslee was predeceased by her husband, Harold Peaslee, Sr., by three daughters in infancy, and by three sisters, Maxine McKay, Ester Cheney, and Dorothy Gautreau.
Visiting hours were held Feb. 23 at Gray & Pratt Funeral Home, Windsor, where a funeral service was held Feb. 24. Pastor Harold Peaslee, Jr., son of Mrs. Peaslee, officiated. Burial will be at a later date at Shepherd Cemetery, Jefferson.

Dennis Gene Peaslee

Dennis Gene Peaslee, 41, Jefferson, died Feb. 25 at his home.
He was born Nov. 20, 1957, the son of Douglas and Shirley Weaver Peaslee. He attended school in Jefferson and graduated from Lincoln Academy, Newcastle, in 1977.
After graduating, Mr. Peaslee was a self-employed handy man and had previously worked in the woods with his brother Roland, worked for Johnson Brothers Paving, and was a janitor at the Jefferson and Whitefield schools.
He was best known for helping his family with their children and their homes. His favorite thing was babysitting for his family. He enjoyed fishing, camping, bicycling, playing cards and board games with his nieces and nephews, bowling at DePatsy's Lanes, writing in journals, listening to rock 'n roll music, and mowing lawns.
Mr. Peaslee is survived by his parents, of Jefferson; three brothers, Douglas Peaslee, Jr. and Roland Peaslee of Jefferson, and Elbridge Peaslee of Windsor; four sisters, Delma Lee, Shirley St. Pierre, Kathy Peaslee, and Susan Peaslee, all of Jefferson; 15 nieces and nephews; 59 aunts and uncles; and over 100 cousins.
A funeral service was held Feb. 28 at Hall Funeral Home, Waldoboro; the Rev. Warner Howard officiated.
Dorothy H. Pendleton

Dorothy H. Pendleton, 89, of Deer Ridge Apartments, Wiscasset, died Friday, August 28 at Cove's Edge in Damariscotta.
Born in Wiscasset on January 29, 1909, she was the daughter of Everett G. and Abbie "Frances" (Dwelley) Brookings.
She attended Wiscasset Schools and in 1927 moved to Massachusetts where she was employed as a practical nurse and for ten years was an assistant druggist in West Roxbury, Mass. In 1965 she returned to Wiscasset and worked as a practical nurse.
Mrs. Pendleton was a member of the Woolwich Grange and the Lincoln Club.
She enjoyed crocheting afghans, baby sets and doilies.
Survivors include one son, Richard D. Pendleton of Lithia, Fla.; two daughters, Dorothy Wilson of Roslindale, Mass. and Florence "Penny" Kay Donovan of Boothbay Harbor; one brother, Randall Brookings of Alna; two sisters, Kathleen Reed of Edgecomb and Florence Connors of Wiscasset; eight grandchildren, thirteen greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday evening, September 2 at the Mayo & Daigle Funeral Home in Wiscasset with Rev. Edgar Helms officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn cemetery in Wiscasset.
