Mr. Marshall Vernon Inman
ALASKA - Marshall Vernon Inman, 50, died at his Alaska residence on November 2, 2004. He was born in Norway on November 20, 1953, the son of Vernon W. and Miriam (Piirainen) Inman.
He was educated in West Paris schools and graduated from Oxford Hills High School class of 1971. While in school he was active in the Boy Scouts and was on the high school ski team.
He had worked at Sunday River, Lucas Tree Service and with Inman Brothers Masonry prior to moving to Alaska in 1995.
He was a great outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, snowmobiling,
hunting and panning for gold. He was also a great story teller, loved life and was devoted to his sons and family.
He is survived by two sons, Anthony Bouchard and his wife Kristen Ostrowski of South Portland and Todd Bouchard and his wife Julie of Rousses Point, NY; one brother, Walter Inman and his wife Kim of West Paris; two sisters, Vivian Sanborn and her husband Sandy of Conway, NH and Virginia Aridas of Florida and West Paris and one grandson, Todd Bouchard II of New Jersey.
Memorial services will be held at the West Paris Universalist Church on Sunday, November 14. Burial will be in the Wayside Cemetery, West Paris.

Mrs. Alice Mae McAllister
CASCO - Alice Mae McAllister, 79, passed away quietly with her family by her side on November 3, after a valiant eight-year battle with cancer. born on May 27, 1925, in Norway, Mrs. McAllister was the daughter of Arthur Hill and Berenice Nash Hill Leavitt. She graduated from Norway High School in 1943. She attended Becker Jr. College in Worcester, MA in 1945. After college she was employed as town clerk in Norway. In 1953, she married Urban McAllister of Casco, where she has resided for 51 years as a homemaker.
Mrs. McAllister was a member and secretary of the University of Maine/Cumberland County Women's Extension, a member and president of the Casco/Naples Senior Citizens and belonged to the Casco Village Church Women's Guild for which she had been treasurer for over 20 years. She also served as a voting clerk for the Town of Casco for several years.
In her earlier years, she was a member of the local PTA, serving as both president and secretary, a Girl Scout/Brownie leader and for many years enjoyed her bowling league and ceramic courses.
Mrs. McAllister loved to bake and was well-known locally for her custard pies which were coveted by many at church suppers and bake sales.
Predeceased by her husband in 1983, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Leslie McAllister of Oxford and her daughter and son-in-law, Lillian and Leo Lagasse of Wells. She was also dearly loved by her four grandchildren, Megan, Joshua, Ryan and Allyson.
Visiting hours were held on Friday, November 5, at Hall Funeral Home in Casco. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 6, at the Casco Village Church.

Mr. John David Pinto Sr.
LEWISTON - John David Pinto Sr. of Montello Heights, Lewiston, died March 16, 2005 at the Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway. He was born July 17, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of James and Elizabeth (Vatelli) Pinto. He graduated from Erecht High School in Brooklyn and was the New York City Golden Gloves Champ. He was a WW II Navy veteran and was involved with D-Day and the invasion of North Africa. He lived 45 years in Bellerose, Long Island, NY and for 25 of those years he worked for General Motors Acceptance Corporation as a price analyst for their overseas operation. He enjoyed all sports especially his golf. He moved to Lewiston three years ago.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Dolly Bonjurnie and Mimi Favata. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Annie (Crooks) Pinto of the Maine Veterans Home in South Paris; one son, John D. Pinto Jr. and his wife Suzanne of Paris Hill; two daughters, Alice Power and husband Joseph and Patti Pinto all of Florel Park, Long Island, NY; one brother, James Pinto of Trenton, NJ; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at # 4 Cemetery
in Lovell. In memory of Mr. Pinto, donations may be given to the Maine Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 553, Portland, ME 04112.

Mrs. Viola Julia Goulette
BURLINGTON, VT - Viola Julia Goulette, 84, a resident of Pittsford, VT, died on March 7, following years of battling various heart complications.
She was born in Waterbury, VT, on July 9, 1920, the daughter of Alson S. and Julia C. (Gifford) Reynolds.
On September 19, 1937, she married the love of her life and the father of her children, Howard F. Goulette.
Mrs. Goulette was an avid homemaker and enjoyed cooking, crocheting, collecting, traveling and, most of all, the company of her family. Her travels brought her yearly to Maine where she stayed with two of her children and their families and made many lifelong friends.
She is survived by two brothers, Alson S. Reynolds Jr. and Miles C. Reynolds of Florida; two sisters, Dorothy LeHouillier and Ruth E. Mason of Connecticut; two sons, Fred A. Goulette of Florida and Wilbur E. Goulette of Vermont; nine daughters, Mary L. Forte, Bette J. Davis, Patricia C. Kowalewski, Susan R. Markowski and Dorothy A. Smolinski, all of Vermont; Charlotte M. Frankiewicz of Virginia; Judith A. Delorm of Ohio, Mrs. Craig (Julie) Komulainen of South Paris and Mrs. Verlin (Stephanie) Cooper of West Paris; 81 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Alan J. Cooper, wife Christine (Dana) Cooper, Xavier E. Cooper and Amanda J. Komulainen of South Paris and Carl B. Cooper of West Paris, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband of 43 years; a son, Howard Jr.; a daughter, Linda L. Casey; an infant son Robert and 18 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held at St. Alphonsus' Roman Catholic Church in Pittsford, VT, on March 10. She will be buried in Orwell, VT on Mother's Day weekend.
Mr. Parker W. Daye
TOM'S RIVER, NJ - Parker W. Daye, 74, died at his home in Tom's River, NJ, on November 1, after a long illness.
He was born in Bethel on November 2, 1929, the son of the late Philip W. and Nellie Jodrey Daye.
Mr. Daye was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was awarded five Bronze Stars for bravery.
He was a carpenter by trade and was self-employed for many years, retiring in 1980.
He is survived by his companion of 20 years, Geri Soden; sons and daughters-in -law, Robert and Mary Soden of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, and William and Stacey Soden of Tom's River, NJ; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Jeffrey Little of Kenbridge, VA; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, six sisters and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Daye was predeceased by his wife Agnes in 1980, two sisters, one brother and a grandson, William Soden Jr.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Campbell in Tom's River. Services were held November 5, at 10 a.m. with Interment in the Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge, NJ.

Mrs. Grace A. Hamlin
NORWAY - Grace A. Hamlin, 71, of Norway died Wednesday, March 16 at Norway Rehabilitation and Living Center. She was born in Norway on September 21, 1933, the daughter of Waino and Ethelyn Damon Kyllonen. She was employed at local shoe shops and at General Electric Co. She operated a foster home for many years. She enjoyed bingo, knitting and crocheting. She married Dana H. Hamlin on January 24, 1953; he passed away on August 14, 1993.
She is survived by five children, Pam Shannon of Hawaii, Zoe May of Turner, Debra Billings of Poland, Dana of Texas and Kevin of Norway; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and a brother, Walter Kyllonen of South Paris.
Graveside services will be held in the spring at Elmwood Cemetery
in Otisfield. Arrangements are under the direction of Weston Chandler Funeral Home, 230 Main St., Norway.
Mr. Irving W. Groves, Jr.
POLAND - Irving W. Groves, Jr., 85, of Poland died Thursday, March 17 at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
He was born at home in Auburn on October 18, 1919, the son of Irving W. and Fradaisey Pray Groves, Sr. He attended school in Auburn and had worked hard all of his life as a woodsman and chicken farming.
He created his own universe in his mind, built it with his own hands, then opened his world to those who shared his love and passion for minerals and called it Poland Mining Camps. He enjoying mineral collecting, fishing and
hunting.
He faithfully served his country in the U. S. Navy in the South Pacific and Cuba during World War II. He will be missed by his family and many endearing and loving new and old friends. His legacy will live on through his mining camp.
Mr. Groves is survived by his wife of 14 years, Mary Hopfe Groves of Poland; a daughter Joanne; grandchildren Samantha, Catherine and Patrick; several great-grandchildren; his siblings, Betty Williams, Jib Charlmer Groves, Mary Ella Jordan, Sisty Mary Madore, Vinney Ankatell, Virginia, Barbara and David Groves; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his first wife of 54 years, Doris Brown Groves and a sister, Jean Anderson.
A Home Wake was held all day on Sunday, March 20 in the Pavilion, 34 Groves Lane, Poland. A Memorial service will be scheduled in the summer. Arrangements are under the direction of Weston Chandler Funeral Home, 26 W. Dwinal St., Mechanic Falls.
Michael 'Windy' E. Richards
WEST PARIS - Michael 'Windy' E. Richards, 63, of West Paris passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2005 at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston after a long battle with cancer.
He was born in Rumford July 22, 1941, the son of Laura Christianna Houdan. Mr. Richards enjoyed
hunting, fishing, playing cards and tinkering. His family, friends and dogs, and especially his grandchildren were the joy of his life. Mr. Richards retired on January 14, 2005 after 33 plus years at the Berlin-Gorham NH paper mills as an industrial electrician; prior to that he worked at Marcal Paper in Mechanic Falls and B. E. Cole shoe shop.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Richards of West Paris; a daughter, Rebecca Thorne of Laconia, NH; two sons, Michael, Jr. of Harrison and Randall of West Paris; four grandchildren, Garrett and Elizabeth Thorne of Laconia, NH and Evan Richards and Tristen Kilgore, both of Oxford and special friends John and Tammy Kilgore, Dick and Inez Parsons and John and Kathy Emery. He was predeceased by a brother, Leonard Richards.

Mrs. Pamela Healy
KENNEBUNK - Pamela Healy, 62, passed away January 10, 2001, at her winter residence in Florida after a long battle with cancer.
She was born April 28, 1938, in the Lewiston-Auburn area, the daughter of Gerald Higgins Sr. and Ruth Food Higgins.
She is survived by her husband, Robert T. Healy Sr. of Kennebunk; a son, Robert T. Healy Jr. of Bradenton, FL; a daughter, Robin S. Jeter of Kennebunk; a brother, Gerald Higgins Jr. of Norway; a sister, Janet Nolan of Colorado; and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents.
A memorial service was held Monday, January 15, at the Advent Christian Church in Kennebunk.
