Arthur L. Cammett
Arthur Leslie Cammett, 87, went with the Lord in the arms of his loving wife Sunday morning, June 20, 1999.
He was born Dec. 8, 1911, in South Hampton, N.H., son of Arthur Leslie Cammett and Maud (Boss) Cammett, and attended schools in Amesbury, Mass.
He was a poultry consultant for 31 years at Nichols Poultry of Exeter, N.H. He traveled throughout the United States talking and teaching. He also was employed by Coleman Research of Brunswick and by the former DeCoster Egg Farms of Turner for 20 years.
At one time, he had a quarter of a million birds to supervise for health, sanitation and productivity. He arranged the first Broiler Festival in Brunswick.
He was married 33 years to Ruth Morrill of Amesbury, Mass. She died May 19, 1973. Later he married Eleanor Gammon Timberlake of Canton. He had resided in Gray since May 1975.
He was a member of First Congregational Church of Gray.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years; children Eugene and Joanne Cammett, Aliso Vijo, Calif., Joey and Karen Timberlake, of Canton, and Isabelle and Roger Touchette, of Albion; grandchildren Leslee Cammett, of Boston, Tarah and Kip Dixon, of Newburyport, Mass., Michael and Missy Timberlake, of Canton, Kathy and Rob Walker, of Canton, Barry and Dodi Touchette, of Thorndike, and Warren and Laurie Touchette, of Canaan; five great-grandchildren, Jessica, Chris, Brittany, Megan and Mason; two sisters Anabelle Bartlett, of Haverhill, Mass., and Evelyn March, of Holiday, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Philip and James.
He loved his family more than all else, and enjoyed woodworking, flowers, birds and animals. Everyone called him friend.
Private graveside memorial services were held at Prospect Cemetery, Amesbury, Mass and Pine Grove Cemetery, Canton, ME.
Donations may be made to First Congregational Church, Gray Rescue or Heart Fund.

Arthur Ritzmann
Arthur M. Ritzmann, 87, of Gray and Holiday, Florida, passed away on July 9. He was under the care of Hernando-Pasco Hospice House, Hudson, Florida.
Mr. Ritzmann was born in the Bronx, New York, on October 19, 1917. He was a retired sales executive with Belwin Mills Publishing Company, a World War II U.S. Marine Corps veteran, a member of F&AM Masonic Morton Lodge, Wantagh, Long Island, New York and a member of the Presbyterian Church of Seven Springs in New Port Richey, Florida.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth; son Richard Ritzmann and his wife Ellen; three daughters, Carol Wolf and her husband Kenneth, of Miller Place, New York, Nancy Murphy and her husband John, of Oakdale, New York, and Lynn Gwinn and her husband David, of Winchester, Virginia; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Family Organization.
Arrangements are under the direction of the North Meadowlawn Funeral Home, New Port Richey, Florida.

Barbara A. Pride, 70
Barbara A. Pride, 70, of Raymond and Debary, Fla., died suddenly of a heart attack on Aug. 31, 2005, in Debary.
Born on May 1, 1935, in Lewiston, daughter of the late Harold C. and Mary Ann (Leitch) Mansur, the family later moved to Portland.
As a young woman she danced and taught ballet.
She worked at Forest Farms Greenhouse, Roaks' 7 Acre Greenhouse, Roaks' Flower Shp, Sawyer's Flower Shop and Sawyer & Co. Florist.
On May 3, 1958, she married Clarence M. "Sonny" Pride.
She loved going to flea markets, yard sales and auctions, fixing up old houses, crocheting, crafting, flower arranging, swimming, gardening, cooking, camping with family and much more. She was full of life and always fun.
Barbara is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years; two daughters, Roxanne Pettis and husband Timothy of Raymond, and Tammy Tanguay and husband Paul of Deland, Fla.; three grandchildren, Heather Martin of Limington, Matthiew Malm and girlfriend Nikki of Gray, and Crystal Malm and boyfriend Ray of Deltona, Fla.; two step-grandchildren, Felicia Webber and Paul Tanguay; four great-grandchildren, Julia and Daniel Martin of Limington, Ryan Yontz of Deltona, Fla., and Caleb Malm of Gray; a sister and a brother-in-law, Phyllis and Reginald Page of Portland, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Frances Doughty; a nephew, Scott Doughty; and a great-niece, Megan Page.
A private visitation for immediate family only was to take place today at Dolby Funeral Home, with a graveside service at noon today at Blanchard Cemetary, Winn Road, West Falmouth.

Barbara Caswell, 84, former Gray resident
Barbara C. Caswell, 84, of Portland and formerly of Gray, died September 2 at a Westbrook nursing home.
She was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, a daughter of Peter and Annie Coughlin Carr. She was raised and educated in Gloucester before moving to Maine.
Barbara was a member of American Legion Ladies' Auxiliary.
She loved to play bingo, cards and cribbage. She was a very sociable person who had many friends, and she enjoyed their company.
One of her prouder moments was being a finalist on the game show, You Think You Know Me.
Her husband of 64 years died in 2001. She was also predeceased by three daughters, Barbara Pennell, Wilma Thompson and Mary Caswell.
She is survived by two sons, William, of Casco, and Peter, of Raymond; three daughters, Joanne Griffin, of Saco, and Nancy Hedrick and Susan Foss, both of Westbrook; two sisters, Patricia Lockard, of Gray, and Kathleen Delehanty, of North Yarmouth; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life was held at the home of her daughter, Susan Foss.
Arrangements were by Blais & Hay Funeral Home, Westbrook.

Barbara Gagne

Barbara L. Gagne, of Gray, died last Friday at a Portland hospital.
She was born in Gray, a daughter of Harold F. and Stella Libby Latham, and attended local schools.
She enjoyed walking, flowers and animals.
Her husband of 44 years, Maynard Gagne, died in 1996.
Shes is survived by her son, Michael J. Gagne, of Windham; her daughter, Karen A. Gagne Egan, of Gray; a brother, H. Wayne Latham, of Gray; a sister, Norma Fish, of Freeport; and four grandchildren.
She was buried in Gray Village Cemetery, with the Rev. Robert Lavoie officiating. Arrangements were by Wilson Funeral Home.

Barbara Lynch Stitt
Barbara Stitt, 59, formerly of Gray, died unexpectedly January 15 in a Littleton, CO, hospital.
She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, the daughter of Frank and Betty Lynch. Later, the family moved to Portland and then to Gray, where she attended schools and was a 1956 graduate of Pennell Institute. She was also a 1958 graduate of Becker Junior College in Worcester, MA.
She married Donald Stitt in Franklin, MA, on February 23, 1963. They lived in Weymouth and Scituate, MA, and more recently she had lived in Singer Island, FL, and six months ago moved to the Denver area.
Her interests included herbs, books, music, travel and vacations spent with family and friends.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Dawna Stitt of San Diego, CA; a son, David Stitt of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; and a sister, Sheila Madden of Oviedo, FL.
A memorial service was held in Littleton on January 17 and another is to be held in St. Petersburg, FL, on February 14.
