Paul E. Swygart, age 70 of Bypass Road, died Sunday, March 12, 2006 at home in Wells, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Paul was born on September 29, 1935 in Decatur, Indiana to Lafeyette and Leah (Dibble) Swygart, the 12th of 14 children.
Paul served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1959 and is a veteran of the Korean War.
For the last 35 years, Paul has made his living as an over the road truck driver, owning his own truck for most of that time.
He was a member of the Ocean Lodge AF&AM, and the Kora Temple.
Paul is predeceased by his loving companion of 32 years, Judy S. Stutes, and a son, Cuffy Swygart.
He is survived by his sons, Paul E. Swygart, Jr and his wife Diane of Decatur, IN, and Darryn C. Stutes of Wells, ME; his daughters, Francela Ripley, and her husband Ray, of Honolulu, HI, and Serena Allen of Wells; three brothers, Richard Swygart of South Carolina, Lafe Swygart, Jr. of Augusta, GA and Gerald Swygart of Leo, IN; and eight grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 to 8pm Friday, March 17, at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 111 Chapel Road, Wells.

Peter Allen Prout

Biddeford- Peter Allen Prout, 51 years, died July 20, 2005 at South Ridge Nursing Home in Biddeford after a brief illness.
Peter was born October 8, 1953 in Biddeford the son of Walter and Avis Harriman Prout.
Peter grew up in West Kennebunk and attended local schools.
He drove for Twin City Taxi in Biddeford for many years.
On July 7, 1973 Peter married his sweetheart, Debbie Brennan.
Peter enjoyed working on cars. He was a huge fan of auto racing and rooted for Jeff Gordon. Peter also drove in the Wildcats division car number 11 at Beech Ridge Speedway in Scarborough. Peter also enjoyed
hunting and teasing his pet cat “Piggy”.
Peter loved his family and especially cherished the time spent with his grandchildren.
Predeceasing Peter are his parents Walter and Avis, and his brother Larry.
Surviving Peter are his loving wife of 32 years Debbie Brennan Prout; daughters Tracy Prout and her companion Joseph Denbow and June Schrader and her husband Brian; brother Richard Prout; sister Dot Lavigne; and grandchildren Brittni, Allen, Savanna, Breanna, Steven, Ian, and Damian, all of Biddeford; and aunts, nieces, and nephews.
Friends may call Sunday July 24 from 1-2 pm at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk, ME.
A funeral service will be held at the Chapel at 2 pm.
As part of the celebration of Peter’s life, his family requests that friends wear their favorite NASCAR clothing.
Peter Benjamin Brannen

Kennebunk- Peter Benjamin Brannen, 46 years, of Pinewood Drive, Kennebunk, died suddenly on March 17, 2006 at his home.
Peter was born in Portland, ME on October 10, 1959, a son of Benjamin H. Brannen and
Patricia (Gunn) Brannen Lyna. Peter was a graduate of Kennebunk High School.
He enjoyed family trips to Ireland, sports, fishing, spending time with family. He always had a ready smile and a heart to go with it. Peter was the original ‘bearer of the pumpkin in the Dock Square area of Kennebunkport. When he retired, he handed the job over to Patience Brannen, who carries on the tradition to this day.
Peter was employed at Riverview Restaurant, which his mother owned for 30 years.
He was a member of the Irish American Club.
He was predeceased by his father, Benjamin Brannen and his step-father, Robert M. Lyna.
Surviving Peter are his beloved wife, Joyce Brannen; two step-sons, Jon and Nathan Cluff, both of Kennebunk; his mother, Patricia (Gunn) Brannen Lyna of Kennebunkport; his brother Michael Brannen of Kennebunk; two nephews, Sean Brannen and Evan Ward.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Monday, March 20 at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk, ME. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 21 at 11 am at St. Martha’s Church with the Reverend Father Laurent LaPlante and Deacon Roger Normand.

Raymond Havey, Sr.

Franklin, NH
Raymond Coleman Havey, Sr., age 77 of Baldwin Street, Franklin, NH, died Friday July 22, 2005 at the Mountain Ridge Nursing Home in Franklin.
He was born in Biddeford, ME the son of David R. and Marie L. Warren Havey and attended Biddeford schools.
A retired electrician from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Mr. Havey also served his country in the US Army during WWII.
He enjoyed his family and NASCAR.
Raymond is predeceased by his wife, Grace (Day) Havey, who died in 1993.
He is survived by two sons, Edmund Havey and his wife, Kathy of Las Vegas, NV, and Raymond Havey, Jr. and his wife, Roseann of Ogden, Utah; two daughters, Dorothy Terry and her husband, Robert of Green Cove Springs, FL. and Rosemary Dunn and her husband, Clayton of Laconia, NH; a brother, Richard Havey and his wife Lorraine of Biddeford, two nieces and nephews; 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be from 4 - 6pm Sunday, July 24, 2005 at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with Rev. Timothy Wilcox officiating.
Burial will be at Goodwins Mills cemetery at 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Rena Perkins

Rena Winn Perkins, age 94 of Beach Street, died Monday, July 18, 2005 at York Hospital.
She was born in York’s North Village on August 31, 1910, a daughter of Charles F. and Hattie L. Hill Winn. She attended local schools and graduated from Wells High School. She later attended and graduated from McIntosh Business School in Dover, NH.
Rena was a well known and respected business person in the Ogunquit area.
She owned and operated, with her family, the Betty Doon Restaurant and Hotel on Beach Street for over 30 years.
In 1966 with her son, Newell, they opened and operated Perkins Real Estate on Beach Street.
She retired at the age of 74 to winter in her Florida home.
Mrs. Perkins, at the time of her passing, was the longest standing member of the Ogunquit Baptist Church.
The Perkins/Winn family tree in North Village and Wells, dates back to the mid 1600’s.
Always interested in history and geneology, she was often sought out for her knowledge of the family trees in Ogunquit, York and Wells.
Rena is predeceased by her husband, Grover S. Perkins, Sr; her two step daughters, Murial P. Eslinger and Marcel P. Taft; her brother, Arnold Winn; and her sister, Gertrude Winn Allen.
Surviving are her two sons, Grover S. Perkins, Jr. and his wife Margaret, of North Village in York, and Newell S. Perkins and his wife Nancy, of Ogunquit; two step sons, Marlowe Perkins of Mechanicsburg, PA and Merlin Perkins of Cortez, CO; four grandchildren, LtCol Lee-Ann Perkins of Ramstein AB, Germany, G. Steve Perkins, III, of Moscow, Russia, Christian P. Perkins of Boston, and Jason S. Perkins of New York City; and seven stepgrandchildren.
Private family services will be held.

Robert O. Gove

Robert O. Gove, 77, of Kennebunk, died Friday, May 27, 2005 at the Kennebunk Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Hampden on June 16, 1927, a son of Evetts S. and Ruth Mingo Gove. He attended Hampden schools and graduated from Hampden Academy, and served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He worked at Raytheon in Andover, Mass., for over 30 years.
Robert was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Ocean Lodge of Wells and was a Shriner. He was also a member of the Webber-Lefebvre American Legion Post No. 74 of Kennebunk.
He enjoyed fishing and taking fishing trips with his family and friends to Grand Lake Stream, playing cards, cribbage and rummy. He enjoyed traveling and had traveled to Europe and Bermuda with his wife, Agnes. Robert liked to cook, especially on fishing and
hunting trips.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Agnes (Lyons) of Kennebunk; three sons, John Gove and his wife, Nancy of Lyman, Lee Gove of Portsmouth, N.H., and Scott Gove and his wife, Lisa of Pennacook, N.H.; a stepson, Arthur Margerison of Hawaii; two daughters, Linda Koch and her husband, John of Wakefield, N.H., and Debra MacDonald and her husband, William of Utah; a step-daughter, Joan Lewis and her husband, Clark of Old Orchard Beach; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 1, at Hope cemetery in Kennebunk.

Rochelle Simpson

Ogunquit, ME
Ogunquit, ME- Rochelle Simpson, 58 years, of Young’s Crossing formerly of Worcester, MA, died Sunday morning after a long and courageous battle with cancer in her home, lovingly surrounded by her family.
Rochelle was born in Worcester, MA on April 8, 1947, a daughter of Abraham and Sylvia Lowe Rutman. She attended local schools and graduated from Classical High School in Worcester. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree at American International College in Springfield, Ma.
Rochelle most recently was a Claim Representative with Leland Insurance Agency in Northboro, MA. Previously she was employed at Hanover Insurance in Worcester in the same capacity.
Rochelle enjoyed skiing and traveling. She loved her family and was a very devoted Grandmother.
Rochelle is survived by her beloved husband of 36 years, Don Simpson; daughters Lori Choquette and Sherri Taylor; parents Abraham and Sylvia Rutman; brother Alan Rutman; sister Pamela Breitman; grandchildren Jacob and Emma Taylor and Hailey and Carly Choquette.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 14 at 11 am at Bibber Memorial Chapel, Wells, ME. A Committal will follow at Ocean View cemetery Wells with Rabbi Berkowitz.
