TAMARA LYNN ROBINSON
BRIGHTON - Tamara Lynn Robinson, 48, formerly of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away at her home unexpectedly on Sunday, January 13, 2013.
She is survived by her devoted husband Leroy Robinson and four dogs. Her dedicated mother Dianne McAnaney and step-father David McAnaney. Her loyal sisters and step-siblings: Jeff McAnaney, Kathy Poole, Krista Michaud, Karen Niland, Minda Dolye and Stacey Pizz. Her unconditional children Elisha Cottrill, Aaron Cole, and Ryan Gardner. Eleven amazing nieces, nephews and five grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all including her husband's supportive family including his parents Aubrey and Susan Robinson, sister Mary Robinson, all of Hartland, Maine; his sister Patty Robinson-Angel and her husband Jason Angel; many caring aunts, uncles, cousins, and close family friends. Tamara is predeceased by her loving father, Gary Kistler, l970; and her special dogs Maryssa and Jazz.
Though she was taken before her time she has made an everlasting impact on those around her. No need for sorrow, for she is in a better place with her father. Tamara is at peace.
A celebration of her life for close family and friends was held at the couple’s home Sunday, January 20. A memorial service was held February 6 in Lancaster, Ohio. A remembrance tree planting will be held this summer in Maine. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made in her memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at www.nationalmssociety.org.
PERLEY H. HARTLEY
CORINNA - Perley Howard Hartley, 86, passed peacefully Friday, February 1, 2013, with his daughters by his side. He was surrounded by his family and caregivers during the last days of his life. Perley was born as the first son of Howard and Bessie (Haynes) Hartley at the family farm in Corinna on December 16, 1926.
At age 19, Perley opened his first business, a Tydol filling station. After his return from Europe in 1952 as a Sargeant in the Army, he married
the love of his life, Marie. Just a few years later, Perley started offering Massey Ferguson tractors. In 1960, he became a dealer for Plymouth automobiles, the area’s first auto dealership. Throughout the years, the business kept growing through the efforts of Perley, his family and those around them. Hartley's Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep-Ram is still operating strong today.
Beyond developing his business, Perley was involved in the community, and enjoyed many hobbies. Perley served as a selectmen for the Town of Corinna, held a board seat with Key Bank, as well as a member of the Corinna United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #73, Parian Masonic Lodge, and the Anah Shrine. Perley and his wife were also instrumental in the development of the Corinna Health Center. As an accomplished pilot, Perley thoroughly enjoying flying his plane. He enjoyed spending time with his family, engaging in construction projects, and traveling.
Perley is survived by his two daughters, Linda and husband Frank Dyer, Peggy Seavey and husband James Seavey III; two grandchildren, Brian Dyer and Kristen Seavey; his sister Dorothy and husband Harry Nason; brothers Darrell and wife Judie Hartley, and Earl Hartley and Beryl Gray; sister in law, Doris Charrier; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Perley was predeceased by his loving wife Marie in 2008; sisters Hazel Clarke and Gladys Frost; 2 brothers, Harold and Robert; and in laws Shirley Hartley, Carl Frost, and Jerry Clarke.
The family wishes to especially thank the many friends throughout the years who supported Perley personally and in business, including Ruth Bowman and all his caregivers.
Friends called from 6 to 9 PM Friday at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, where Masonic services were held at 7:30 PM. AARON P. HAWTHORNE
NEWPORT - Aaron P. Hawthorne, 60, died January 31, 2013 at a Bangor hospital. He was born September 3, 1952 in Brunswick, a son of Earl and Thelma (Patchell) Hawthorne. He was a building contractor all of his life.
Aaron was a very hard working man and had a heart of gold. His greatest passions were his grandchildren, his fruit trees, and his vegetable gardens. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Lorraine (MacKenzie) Hawthorne; his father, Earl Hawthorne; 3 sons, Aaron Hawthorne, Jr., Adam and wife Liz Hawthorne, and Craig and wife Jessie Hawthorne, all of Newport; a daughter, Laurie Hawthorne and fiancé Jason Ramsdell of Hartland; a brother, Wayne and wife Renee Hawthorne of Detroit; 2 sisters and their husbands, Brenda and Larry Downs of Newport and Karen and Shawn Smith of Sandy Point; 13 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life was celebrated on Saturday, February 9th from 1 to 4 PM at the Millennium, 416 Oxbow Road (Rtes. 11 & 100), Palmyra. BRENDA J. STOREN
CORINNA - Brenda Jean Storen, 49, passed away gracefully February 5, 2013 surrounded by family and friends after a long courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born June 10, 1963 in Weymouth, MA, a daughter of Francis and Nannette (Conley) Coulstring.
Brenda graduated from East Bridgewater [MA] High School. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She enjoyed spending time with her family, countless hours of quiet time talking with her daughter, Sunday night dinners and barbeques with her son, teaching her daughter to cook, and playing with her devoted dog Holly. She enjoyed picking out flowers or special gifts for family members. She loved four-wheeling, snowmobiling, gardening and other outdoor activities. Brenda was a free spirited, exceptionally strong, giving, caring, selfless, outgoing, fun, good person. She was an incredible spirit to all those that she encountered. She loved life and her family. Anyone who knew her was lucky to have had that time. Brenda’s love, dignity, and exceptionally strong character never faltered as she fought to the end stages of her illness. She could sometimes be stubborn; a tough cookie but always a protector of those she loved.
Brenda is survived by her loving husband Lonnie Storen; her children, Sam Baker, his wife Megan, and their son Wyatt Baker, all of Corinna; and Sarah Baker of Winslow; her mother of Carver, MA; her sisters Debbie Correia of Wareham MA, Pam Benjamin of Corinna, Mary Williams of Weymouth, MA, and Patty Bouchard of Manchester, NH; a brother Dan Coulstring of Skowhegan; many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

SOPHIA HART
NASHPORT, OH - Sophia Hart, 87, of Nashport, Ohio, formerly of Manassas, Virginia; Sarasota, Florida, and Hartland Maine, died at home at 10:30 PM on Wednesday, January 23, 2013. She was born October 28, 1925, in Johnson City, New York. She worked as a volunteer at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.
Surviving are a daughter, Elaine Fonseca (James) of Nashport, Ohio, and two sons Ernest (Pam) of Victorville, California and Michael (Joann) of Brookfield, Massachusetts; a sister, Olga Brezwitz of Royaton, Connecticut, and a brother, Bill of Syracuse, New York, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
No calling hours will be observed. A graveside service will take place in Spring in Manassas, Virginia with a minister of Bethel Lutheran Church in Manassas officiating. Bryan Snider Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Avenue, was entrusted with arrangements.

Sophie was a very special person and loved by everyone. All her friends and neighbors at the lae will iss having her at camp in the summer.
JOHN K. CROSS
MILO - John K. Cross, 73, died Jan. 22, 2013, at his residence. He was born Oct. 26, 1939, in Lowell, Mass., the son of Ernest Eugene Cross Sr. and Cynthia Kendall Roberts.
John had worked as a cook, in area woolen mills, and was most recently an over-the-road truck driver. In 1990 he was a volunteer driver for KVCAP and then later volunteered as a Lynx driver.
John is survived by three daughters, Reba Bussey and her husband, Steve, of Dexter, Virginia Longdin of Methuen, Mass., and Melissa Cross of Sorrento, Fla.; a son, John C. Cross of Nashville, Tenn.; two sisters, Leona Lovely of Pittsfield and Deborah Cross of Orneville; and a brother, David Cross Sr. and his wife, Gloria, of Guilford. He will be remembered by his best friends, Levi Bussey of Milo, Bill Thompson and Sandy McNulty of Dexter; and a special niece, Juanita Bates. John was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Ernest Eugene "Gene" Cross Jr.
At John's request, there will be no services. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
WEBSTER O. YOUNG
DIXMONT - Webster O. Young born October 29, 1949, died January 24, 2013. Son of Eugene and Goldie Young. Webster is survived by his four children; Webster 2nd and wife Ashley, Charlie Young, Gertrude and husband Seth Carron, Sierra Stymiest. Four grandchildren, four brother, four sisters and several nieces and nephews. Webster died at Mount Vista Boarding Home after a long illness. No services at this time but there will be a commital service in the spring at the Highland cemetery in Carmel at the Young family plot.
ARTHUR E. WHITE
SANGERVILLE - Arthur E. White, 79, died January 23, 2013, at Hibbard Nursing Home in Dover-Foxcroft. He was born in Sangerville April 25, 1933, the son of William and Mildred (Michaud) White.
Arthur worked at odd jobs for many years for many of the local people in Sangerville. He always had a friendly smile and a wave.
He is survived by a sister-in-law, Shirley White of Sangerville; nieces and nephews, Jody Leathers, and Joseph White both of Sangerville, George White, Jr. of St. Albans, and Linda Burrill of Hermon; several great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 9:30 AM, Sunday, February 24, 2013, at the First Universalist Church of Sangerville. Spring burial will be in the Sangerville Village cemetery. Cremation arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Guilford.
MILDRED E. SANTARPIA
EXETER - Mildred (Baughan) Santarpia, 85, died January 30, 2013 at a Greenville nursing home. She was born December 11, 1927 in Newport News, VA, a daughter of Edmond and Lillie (Sacra) Baughan. She moved to Maine in 1988.
Mildred is survived by her children, Sandra and husband Frederick Sammis of Branford, CT, Cynthia Vollero and William Kellogg of Newport, Randolph and wife Holly Evarts of Pittsfield, Ellsworth and wife Lisa Evarts of Northford, CT, Patricia and husband Glenn Ludden of Greenville; siblings, Edmond, Gloria and Patricia; as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 6 PM Wednesday, February 6th, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, with the Rev. Vasha Piermont officiating. Friends may call from 5 PM until the time of services. Spring burial will be in the family lot, Exeter Center cemetery. GLORIA LANGLEY MCFARLIN
DETROIT - Gloria (Bennett) McFarlin, 73, formerly of Pittsfield and Newport, died January 29, 2013 at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. She was born January 18, 1940 in Guilford, a daughter of Lloyd and Myla (Foss) Bennett. She had been employed as a spinner in area woolen mills.
She was a member of the Corinna United Methodist Church and the Dexter Health Care Sing-A-Long group.
Gloria is survived by 2 sons and their wives, Robert and Colleen Langley of Clinton and Gordon and Lori Langley of Corinna; 2 daughters and their husbands, Loretta and Paul Shepherd of Newport and Sheila and Mark Monti of Newport; a brother, Stephen and wife Lori Bennett of Guilford; 9 sisters, Marjorie Burnham of Stetson, Joyce Nadeau of PA, Jane Simpson of Guilford, Louise Bennett of St. Albans, Charlene and husband Leroy Corson of Atkinson, Rose Butts and fiancé Neil of Plymouth, Geraldine and husband Merle Beckwith II of Parkman, Brenda and husband Edward Rockwell of New Bern, NC, and Janine and husband Dwayne Vaughn of Peru; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Raymond Langley and her second husband, Stanley McFarlin; and a brother, Donald Bennett.
Funeral services were held at 11 AM on Friday, February 1st at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport. Friends called from 10 AM until the time of the service. The family would like to thank the staff at Mayo Regional Hospital, especially Dr. Alan Irwin and Dr. Sohaib Siddiqui for their care and concern during Gloria’s time in the hospital.
RUTH V. LEIGHTON DAUPHINEE
WILLIMANTIC - Ruth V. Leighton Dauphinee, age 84, went home to be with her Lord on January 18, 2013 after a long illness. She died contentedly at home in the company of her loving family. Ruth was born October 31, 1928, the daughter of Linwood Leighton and Ella (Preble) Leighton of Willimantic.
She graduated from Guilford High School in 1946. After attending college for teachers in Farmington and Gorham, she taught for 2 years in a country school in Willimantic. Ruth has been the faithful and loving wife of William “Bill” Dauphinee since April 9, 1950. Her life has been one of service to her family, church, and community, plus countless individuals who have been blessed to have experienced her hospitality, grace, and love in so many small ways.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Deanna Dauphinee of Willimantic; and her daughter, Linda Stade of Glenburn. She also leaves 8 grandchildren, Tammy Jost of TN, Troy Dauphinee of ME, Heather MacKenzie of Nova Scotia, Eric Dauphinee of VT, Michael Stade of CO, Adam Stade of FL, Naomi Aneloski of CO, and Hannah Stade of ME. She has 18 great grandchildren, many of whom were privileged to sit on her lap and absorb her love. She is also survived by her brother, Milton Leighton and his wife Barbara of NJ; and her sister, Diane Bonsey of Dover-Foxcroft; as well as many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her longtime friend, Marilyn Buchanan, with whom she shared many special memories.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Carol Budden and Barbara Fairbrother.
She will be sorely missed. She passed on a simple love of people, God and Creation to all those she came in contact with. Her cooking and gardening skills have blessed those around her for many years. Many can testify of the absolute acceptance and love felt when in her presence.
Visiting hours were held Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak Street in Guilford. Funeral services were held 2 PM, Wednesday, January 23rd at the Willimantic Community Church.

PAULINE W. KNOWLTON
DEXTER - Pauline “Polly” Knowlton, 89, passed away January 21, 2013 at Dexter Health Care following a long illness. She was born June 16, 1923 in Parkman a daughter of Fred and Minnie (Kierstead) Hayes. She attended Sangerville High School. She also worked for many years as a CNA and retired from Pride Manufacturing in Guilford.
Polly was a life member of Conner-Trafton Post # 119 American Legion Auxiliary and was a past president and secretary. She was also Past Fifth District President and Secretary/Treasurer. She was a member of the First Universalist Church of Dexter.
She is survived by her husband LeRoy; sons Brian Colbry and wife Barbara of New Jersey, Brent Colbry and wife Deborah of Etna, Malcolm “Mickey” Colbry and wife Debbie of Dover-Foxcroft; daughter Diana Baird of Porter; step-son Brian Knowlton; and step-daughters, Nancy-Jo Brewer and Heidi Langan; several grandchildren, great grandchildren; and step-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents and 5 brothers. The family would like to thank the staff of Dexter Health Care and Dr. Robert Lodato for their fine care of Polly.
Burial services will be held in the spring at Mt. Pleasant cemetery, Dexter. Services will be announced at a later time. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Universalist Church of Dexter, P. O. Box 294, Dexter, ME 04930-0294.
