Joseph Savitsky Jr.
WEST NEWFIELD - Joseph Lawrence Savitsky Jr., 52, of Libby Road, died at home Sunday (listed Thursday, May 6, 1999).
He was born Sept. 19, 1946 in Derby, Conn., a son of Joseph L. and Katherine Antinozzi Savitsky, and was a graduate of Derby High School.
Mr. Savitsky earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of New Haven and took extra courses following graduation.
He had a love for cars and was a self-employed auto mechanic for much of his adult life. He had also raced “funny” cars in the New England circuit in the early 1970s.
His companion of 23 years was Cheryl White of West Newfield.
Georgianna Maloy
WELLS - Former resident Georgianna Maloy, 84, of Margo Wanda Boarding Home in Berwick, died Tuesday (listed Thursday, May 6, 1999) at York Hospital in York.
She was born Feb. 6, 1915 in Offordsville, N.H., a daughter of Ezra and Roseanna Lamontagne Levigne, and was educated at St. Mary’s School in Dover, N.H.
Mrs. Maloy worked as a packer at the former Kesslen Shoe Company of Kennebunk and as a waitress at Congdon’s Restaurant in Wells. She also lived in Sanford for a while.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clifton L. Maloy Sr., in 1992.
Survivors include a son, Clifton Jr. of Sarasota, Fla.; two daughters, Arlene Pease of Springvale and Pauline Hubbard of West Kennebunk; a sister, Florence Kingsbury of Derry, N.H.; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchidlren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Louise Wilson
KENNEBUNKPORT - Louise L. Wilson, 74, of Kings Highway, died Tuesday (listed Thursday, May 6, 1999) at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford.
She was born Aug. 25, 1924 in Wilkinsburg, Pa., a daughter of Leslie E. and Alberta Steurwald Lynde, and was a graduate of Thayer Academy in South Braintree, Mass. She attended the University ofNew Hampshire and the Garland School of Design in Boston.
Mrs. Wilson was a member of the First Congregational Church of Kennebunkport and several organizations, including the Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution and Historical Society in Kennebunkport and the Piscataqua Pioneers in Dover, N.H.
A bridge player, she was a member of the Beachnuts bridge group. She also enjoyed her beloved dachsund, Berta.
She was predeceased by her husband, James English Wilson, in 1998.
Survivors include one son, C. Leslie of Castle Rock, Colo.; two daughters, Barbara (Mrs. David) Mazieka of Kennebunk and Lynda (Mrs. Charles) Parrott of Granger, Ind.; a sister, Barbara Rencurrel of Kennebunkport; and seven grandchildren.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH - Alfred L. Bolduc, 83, of Saco Avenue, died Wednesday (listed Thursday, May 6, 1999) at Maine Veteran’s Home in Scarborough. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Cote Funeral Home, corner of Beach and James streets, Saco.

HELEN E., of Alfred, died April 19, 1999 in Portland. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at St. George’s Episcopal Church, Sanford, the Rev. William Schuyler officiating.

ROLAND ALBERT SR., died May 5, 1999 in Wells. Visiting hours 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk, where prayers will be said at 10 a.m. Friday. Burial in Hope Cemetery, Kennebunk.

IRENE B., of Biddeford died Feb. 22, 1999. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Andre’s Church, followed by a graveside service at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Michel Lizotte
ARUNDEL - Michel H. Lizotte, 73, of Mountain Road, died at home Wednesday (listed Thursday, October 7, 1999).
He was born Sept. 17, 1926 in Littleton, N.H., a son of Arsene J. and Georgianna St. Cyr Lizotte, attended elementary schools there and in Gilman, Vt., and was a graduate of Dalton, (N.H.) High School.
Mr. Lizotte was a U.S. Navy veteran. He attended school in Jacksonville, Fla. to become a baker.
He was employed by Ed Delorge Baking of Biddeford and later as a pipefitter for Saco Lowell Shops. He retired in 1978 after 20 years as a nuclear pipefitter in the inspection department of the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
Mr. Lizotte was a communicant of Notre Dame de Lourdes Church in Saco.
He enjoyed playing music, snowshoeing, skiing, snowmobiling, traveling and hiking the White Mountains,
hunting, fishing and target shooting. He was a member of the Saco Rifle Team and the Maine State Tri-State Rifle Team, life member of the York County Fish and Game Club, where he was past president, and past president of the York County Snowmobile Club. He was a member of AARP and was a volunteer at nursing homes in Maine and Florida.
Mr. Lizotte was a member of the music ministry at the Little House of Prayer, where he took care of the flowers. He was also a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Therese A. (Blais) Lizotte, whom he married at Notre Dame Church in 1948; his mother of Biddeford; three sons, Michel V. of Arundel, Phillip A. of Wells and Paul R. of Lyman; a brother, Gerard of Westbrook; a sister, Rita Dubois of New Britain, Conn.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Susan Stevens
WELLS - Susan J. Stevens, 28, of Tatnic Road, died Wednesday (listed Thursday, October 7, 1999) at York Hospital.
She was born July 1, 1971 in Biddeford, a daughter of Richard Sr. and Jean Moulton Stevens, was a 1989 graduate of Wells High School and graduated from the University of Maine in Farmington in 1993.
Miss Stevens was a self-employed landscaper. She was a nature lover, poet and published photographer who enjoyed all outdoor sports and excelled in basketball, family members say.
Survivors include her parents of Wells; three brothers, Richard Jr. of Saco and Eric M. and Timothy, both of Wells; her maternal grandmother, Gladys Moulton of Cape Neddick; two nieces, a nephew and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
John Staples
BIDDEFORD - Former resident John F. Staples, 68, of Melbourne Beach, Fla., died of cancer at home Monday (listed Thursday, October 7, 1999).
He was born Dec. 19, 1931 in Biddeford, a son of Louis and Doris Booth Staples, was educated at St. Mary's School and by his aunts, and was a 1949 graduate of Biddeford High School, where he was nicknamed "Dapper Dan."
Mr. Staples served four years in the U.S. Coast Guard, attaining the rank of Boatswain's Mate Second Class, and played basketball for the Coast Guard team.
He was employed by New England Telephone Company for 30 years, attaining six technical ratings and retiring as a testman. He sold jewelry as a hobby.
He was formerly married to Dorothy Marie Pelletier, with whom he had three children.
In 1965 he married Donna Marie Poirier. Their daughter Alison died in 1977.
After his 1983 retirement, the Staples moved to Melbourne Beach, where he was employed at Spessard Holland Golf Course, retiring in 1997.
Mr. Staples was a devotee of the marches of John Phillip Sousa and others. He was an accomplished golfer and had enjoyed bicycle riding for the past 15 years. He and his wife took a cross-country camping trip in 1997.
Survivors include his wife of Melbourne Beach; two sons, John F. Jr. of Biddeford and Stephen Martin of Lebanon; a daughter, Elizabeth Libby of Waterboro; a brother, Ralph Martin of Biddeford; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
LIZOTTE
MICHEL H., died Oct. 6, 1999 in Arundel. Visiting hours 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Cote Funeral Home, Beach Street, Saco. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Notre Dame de Lourdes Church. Burial Monday in the Bartlett (N.H.) Cemetery.

JOHN F., formerly of Biddeford, died Oct. 4, 1999 in Melbourne Beach, Fla. Memorial Mass 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church, Biddeford.
Thelma Morris
SANFORD - Thelma M. Morris, 95, formerly of Jagger Mills Apartments and a longtime resident of Lynn, Mass., died Tuesday morning (listed Thursday, November 4, 1999) at Greenwood Center after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Springfield, Ohio, on Jan. 27, 1904, the daughter of Harold and Nellie Ziegler Kent, and attended schools there.
A resident of Sanford since 1989, she lived most of her life in Lynn.
She enjoyed sewing.
Her husband, Charles Morris, died in 1967.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Larrabee of Springvale; a grandson, David Larrabee, and a granddaughter, Susan Auger, both of Sanford; and seven great-grandchildren.
Aurore Boucher
BIDDEFORD — Aurore M. Boucher, 86, of Cleaves Street, died Wednesday (listed Thursday, November 4, 1999) at Southern Maine Medical Center.
She was born April 26, 1913 in Biddeford, a daughter of Isaac and Celina Giguere Bouffard, attended local schools and was a member of the first graduating class at St. Andre's High School in 1930.
She was employed at the J.J. Newbury Co. before her marriage.
On July 26, 1941 she married J. Alcide Boucher at St. Andre's Church.
Mrs. Boucher was a former member of the Dames de Ste. Anne and Cercle Lacordaire St. Jeanne d'Arc at St. Andre's Church.
Her husband died in 1971.
Survivors include two daughters, Cecile of San Diego, Calif. and Gabrielle Tilton of Freeport; and three grandchildren, Christine Newell and Mark Gadbois, both of Biddeford, and Joseph Tilton of Freeport.
