Thomas E. Brown, 23, of Salisbury, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at his home.
Born April 17, 1979, in Green Bay, Wis., he was the son of Russell Brown of Hagerstown and Jean F. Brown of Perry Hall.
He was a parts department manager.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are grandmothers Ann Brown of Mount Airy and Anna M. Williams of Baltimore.
A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Leonard J. Ruck Funeral Home, 5305 Harford Road, Baltimore, with his uncle, the Rev. Addison Hart, officiating.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until time of service Sunday at the funeral home.

Antoinette M. Coshun, 48, of Spring Grove, Pa.
Antoinette Marie Coshun, 48, of Spring Grove, Pa., died Monday, April 7, 2003, at her home.
Born April 5, 1955, in Gettysburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Beatrice Flemming Markle.
She was a housewife.
Surviving are children Carey Brenneman, J. Derick Coshun, Ariel and Stephen Coshun, all of Taneytown; sisters Nancy Flickinger and Jackie Hartland, both of Westminster; brothers Daniel Markle of Reading, Pa., and Fred, Larry and Tim. Markle, all of Taneytown; grandchild Britlyn McCabe of Taneytown; and fiance John Crouse of Spring Grove, Pa.
She was predeceased by brother Ronnie Markle.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Piney Creek Presbyterian Church, 4472 Harney Road, Taneytown. Interment will be private.

Guy L. King, 90, formerly of Westminster
Guy L. King, 90, of Tampa, Fla., formerly of Westminster, died Thursday, March 27, 2003 in Tampa, Fla.
Born June 10, 1912, in Waxhaw, N.C., he was the son of the late Samuel R. and Sarah M. King. He was the husband of the late Bertha S. King, his wife of 43 years.
He had been a business owner in the Baltimore and Carroll County area for more than 50 years.
Surviving are children Gary King of Tampa, Fla., Alvin Schaffer of Westminster, Brenda Munford of Keymar, Connie Williams of New Windsor, Mary Allen of Tampa, Fla., and Cindy Frederick of Westminster; sister Fannie Pharr of Kannapolis, N.C.; nephew Rufus King of Kannapolis, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by son Samuel King; one brother; and five sisters.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Gladys I. Parker, 90, of Reisterstown
Gladys Irene Parker, 90, of Reisterstown, died Thursday, April 10, 2003 at FutureCare-Cherrywood after an extended illness.
Funeral services and interment will be private.

Walter B. 'Walt' Rugemer Sr., 70, of Westminster
Walter Brooks "Walt" Rugemer Sr., 70, of Westminster, died Thursday morning, April 10, 2003, at his residence after an extended illness.
Born Sept. 25, 1932, in Sykesville, he was the son of the late Alfred and Mabel Beall Rugemer. He was the husband of Paula A. Rugemer, his wife of 35 years.
He had served in the Air Force during the Korean conflict. Before retiring, he was a licensed practical nurse for 35 years.
He was a member of Westminster Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 1381.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are son and daughter-in-law Walter "Brooks" Jr. and Ellen Rugemer of Manchester; daughters and sons-in-laws Tonya and Jack Mizzell of Reisterstown, Vicki and Lance Beasman of Baltimore, and Karen and Tom Sisler of Westminster; sisters Ruth Ann Harrison of Pensacola, Fla., and Rosalee Mathis of Greer, S.C.; mother-in-law Annabel H. Doukas of Westminster; brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Tonja Doukas of Marston; and six grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Home, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, with the Rev. Julie Singer, of Krider's United Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, where a memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. by the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 1381.

Jacob S. Young, 82, of Mount Airy, died Thursday, April 10, 2003, at Northampton Manor Health Care in Frederick.
Born Dec. 19, 1920, in Mount Airy, he was the son of the late Herman H. and Eva Schneider Young.
He was employed by Mullinix Grain and Fertilizer Co. in Woodbine. He was a lifelong member of Locust Grove Church of the Brethren in Mount Airy. He served as an usher at the church for many years.
Surviving are siblings Sara Louise Selby and Fannie Anderson, both of Mount Airy; nieces and nephews Jean Pickett of Mount Airy and Larry and Fred Anderson, both of Monrovia; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, 13356 Glissans Mill Road, Mount Airy, with the Rev. Wallace "Bud" Lusk, of Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, officiating. Interment will be in Locust Grove Church of the Brethren cemetery, Mount Airy.

Lois Virginia Banes, 78, of Sykesville, died Friday, April 11, 2003, at Carroll County General Hospital, Westminster.
Born March 31, 1925, in Pittsburgh, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Fred Hoetzel and Myrtle Greinger Hoetzel. She was the wife of Philip Collison Banes.
She had been a homemaker for most of her life. Before her marriage, she had been a secretary with the Howard Uniform Co. and a switchboard operator with Mount Wilson Hospital.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, William Philip Banes of Sykesville; a daughter, Lynn Mazzaferro of near Pittsburgh, Pa.; a brother, Edwin Hoetzel of Purcellville, Va.; a sister, Jean Sheppard of Salisbury; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Siblings Willard Hoetzel, Virginia Dettmer and Mildred Triplett predeceased her.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Haight Funeral Home and Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, with the Rev. Don Burgard officiating. Interment will be in Wards Chapel cemetery, Marriottsville.

Madge E. Boyer, 72, of Keymar
Madge Elaine Boyer, 72, of Keymar, died Thursday, April 10, 2003, at the home of her daughter in Hanover, Pa., after an extended illness.
Born Nov. 11, 1930, in Detour, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Dayhoff and Gladys Albaugh Dayhoff. She was the wife of Harry Junior Boyer, who died in 2002.
She was a 1947 graduate of Elmer Wolfe High School.
She was a member of Middleburg United Methodist Church, and was named one of Maryland's Most Beautiful People in 1995.
She enjoyed bus trips, yard sales and playing the organ at nursing homes.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law Bonnie Figgins and Michael Allen of Mount Pleasant, Beverly and Eugene Iser of Littlestown, Pa., and Beth and David Hughes of Hanover, Pa.; daughter Becky Stambaugh of Littlestown, Pa.; sons Bob Boyer of Taneytown and Danny Boyer of Union Bridge; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A brother, Donald A. Dayhoff, who died in 2000, predeceased her.
Interment services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick, with her pastor, the Rev. Charles Slaugh, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hartzler Funeral Home, 404 S. Main St., Woodsboro.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg.
There will be no public visitation.

Bertha Mae Asper, 84, of Hampstead, died Saturday, April 5, 2003, at Continuum Care at Sykesville.
Born March 19, 1919, in Newberry, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Albert and Carrie Rethman Toomey. She was the wife of the late Jacob Asper.
She was a retired health care aide for Carroll View Care Home and a former member of Hampstead American Legion Post 200.
Surviving are brother Carl Toomey of Newberry, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead, with the Rev. Sharon Rogers officiating. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Paul's cemetery in Arcadia.

Born Sept. 19, 1913, in Hampstead, he was the son of the late Harvey Eugene and Goldy Alsworth Wisner Buchman.
He had been a farmer.
Surviving are daughters Jo Ann Fell and Betty Zepp, both of Baltimore; sisters Ruth Glover of Hampstead and Inez Gouge of Millers; brother Bill Buchman of Westminster; former wife Margaret Elizabeth Laughon of Hampstead; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

He had been a farmer.
Surviving are sister Norma Leona Johnson of Sykesville; niece Jean Barnard of Eldersburg; and nephew Clifford Ridenour of Italy.
He was predeceased by sister Goldie Ridenour.
