Eva G. Wolf
La FOLLETTE, Tenn. - Eva Glenview Ebersole Wolf, 80, of La Follette, died there Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1998.
Born Sept. 12, 1917, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Franklin Jacob and Eva Snyder Ebersole.
Her husband, Bernard F. Wolfe, preceded her in death.
She was previously employed by the former Leiter's Department Store, Hagerstown.
She is survived by a son, Joseph Wayne Wolf of La Follette; a grandson, Byron Franklin Wolf of La Follette; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Ebersole and Leola Miller; and four brothers, Donald Ebersole, Jack Ebersole, Wayne Ebersole and Richard Ebersole.
Private services will be held in La Follette.
Arrangements are by Cross Funeral Home, La Follette.
Charles M. Lesher
Charles Milton Lesher, 78, of 55 E. Washington St., Hagerstown, and formerly of Clear Spring, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 1998, at Avalon Manor Nursing Home, Hagerstown.
Born Jan. 12, 1920, in Clear Spring, he was the son of the late Milton Tice and Margaret Rosenna Miller Lesher.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda June Rubeck Lesher, in 1992.
He was a member of Joseph C. Herbert American Legion Post 222 of Clear Spring.
He is survived by five daughters, Louise M. Bechtold of Leola, Pa., Audrey E. Coffelt, Janet M. Lapole and Carol J. Seilhamer, all of Hagerstown, and Linda S. Funk of Mercersburg, Pa.; four brothers, Charles M. Lesher Jr. and Richard L. Lesher, both of Hagerstown, Paul F. Lesher of Chester, Va., and Ronald E. Lesher of Falling Waters, W.Va.; two sisters, Helen Trumpower of Clear Spring and Mildred Hess of Hagerstown; 18 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Donald E. Thompson Funeral Home, 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring. The Rev. William Crowe will officiate. Burial will be in Broadfording Memorial Gardens, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

A memorial service for Donna Lea Carolyn Jacobs, 58, of Potomac Towers, Hagerstown, who died Monday, Sept. 14, 1998, will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at Faith Chapel in Hagerstown.
Alfred Dye
SMITHSBURG - Alfred Dye, 88, of 12049 Little Antietam Road, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1998, at Seven Rivers Hospital, Crystal River, Fla.
Born Oct. 15, 1909, in Barton, Md., he was the son of the late Zedeck M. and Clemantine Brooks Dye.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Sylvia Owen Dye.
He was a graduate of Colyne Electrical Institute.
He retired from Western Maryland Railroad as a master licensed electrician.
He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
He was a 32nd-degree Mason with Masonic Friendship Lodge 84; a member of Scottish Rite of Cumberland, Md.; Tall Cedars of Lebanon 94; and Shriners' Clubs of Cumberland and Hagerstown.
He is survived by a son, O. Nixon "Nick" Dye of Dunnellon, Fla., with whom he had resided for the past year; two stepsons, William V. Stenger of Frederick, Md., and Walter V. Stenger of Hagerstown; and a sister, Elaine Bosley of Lonaconing, Md.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Klipstine and Clemantine Russell.
Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown. The Rev. Darryl C. Zoller will officiate.
Friends may call at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Bonnie L. Fischer
Bonnie Lee Hottle Landaker Fischer, 56, of 731 Virginia Ave., Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Aug. 1, 1942, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of Atalee Virginia Baker Hottle Smith of Hagerstown and the late Harvey Lee Hottle.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Curtis Franklin Landaker Sr.
She attended South Hagerstown High School.
She was a housekeeper.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Frederick Daniel Fischer; two daughters, Robin L. Netz of Needmore, Pa., and Melissa A. McPherson of Hagerstown; a son, Norman E. Hottle of Martinsburg, W.Va.; two sisters, Linda L. Kelley and Callista D. Locklear, both of Hagerstown; two brothers, Norman W. Baker of Conway, S.C. and Robert W. Hottle of Winchester, Va.; eight grandchildren; eight nieces; and five nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Curtis F. Landaker Jr.; and her stepfather, Donald A. Smith.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Robert L. Dell will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

E. Leon Draper
FREDERICK, Md. - E. Leon Draper, 75, of 1407 Key Parkway, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 1998, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born March 24, 1923, in Middletown, Md., he was the son of the late Edgar E. and Hazel Crone Draper.
He was formerly employed at Fort Detrick and retired in 1979 from the National Bureau of Standards.
A U.S. Army veteran, he served in Europe during World War II.
He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Frederick.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nellie B. Rohrer Draper; a daughter, Joan E. Bealer of Gapland; two sons, Vaughn L. Draper of Houston and Randal M. Draper of Mount Airy, Md.; two sisters, Mary Richards and Ruth Lakin, both of Frederick; a brother, Glenn Draper of Frederick; eight grandchildren; a great-grandson; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank B. Draper and Robert L. Draper.
Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Etchison Memorial Chapel of Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. The Rev. Joseph R. Foster will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown.

Catherine M. Fortner
Catherine M. Fortner, 88, of 11 W. Baltimore St., Hagerstown, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 1998, at Vindobona Nursing Home, Braddock Heights, Md.
Born Jan. 12, 1910, in Richard, Va., she was the daughter of the late James F. and Mary E. Milholland Morrissey.
Her husband, Stedman A. Fortner, died in 1981.
She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, the Daughters of Catholic Charity and Catholic Daughters of America.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, with the Rev. Edward W. Manalis as celebrant. Burial will be in Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Washington, D.C.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St.
Drainie B. Watson
MIDDLETOWN, Md. - Drainie Bergen "D.B." Watson, 82, of 7383 Freestate Drive, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 1998, at Vindobona Nursing Home in Braddock Heights, Md.
Born Oct. 30, 1915, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Dennis B. and Melissa E. Hauser Watson.
His wife of 55 years, Mildred Viessman Watson, died in 1992.
He founded Watson's Family Restaurant in Frederick, Md., in 1968.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Middletown.
He was a member of Frederick Kiwanis Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles 1067 in Frederick, AMVETS, American Legion, Masonic Lodge, Ali Ghan Shrine and BPOE Elks 684 of Frederick.
He is survived by a daughter, Carol A. DeGrange of Middletown; three sons, Dennis B. Watson of Frederick, Charles D. Watson of Myersville, Md., and William D. Watson of Middletown; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Middletown. The Rev. Donald L. Turley will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
Friends may call today from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., and at the church one hour prior to services on Saturday.

Russell E. Mossburg
THURMONT, Md. - Russell Edward "Skip" Mossburg, 61, of 6539 Fish Hatchery Road, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 1998, at his home.
Born Sept. 4, 1937, in Burkittsville, Md., he was the son of the late Preston Eugene Mossburg Sr. and Elsie Lowery Shaw.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth Michael Johnston Mossburg, in 1994.
He was a 1955 graduate of Frederick High School.
He had worked at Frederick Iron and Steel as a blueprint draftsman. He retired from the City of Frederick in Parks and Recreation after 28 years. He was the head groundskeeper at McCurdy Field and Grove Stadium.
He was a duckpin bowler at Village and Arcade Lanes.
He is survived by three daughters, Teresea L. McMillan of Inwood, W.Va., and Susan L. Marion and Gabrielle M. Simmers, both of Thurmont; three sons, Michael E. Mossburg and Russell A. Mossburg Sr., both of Frederick, and Thomas E. Mossburg of York Haven, Pa.; two sisters, Louise Phillips of Frederick and Betty Morgan of New Market, Md.; two brothers, Preston E. Mossburg Jr. and Harry Mossburg, both of Frederick; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Chester Shaw; and a brother, James Mossburg.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. The Rev. Barbara D. Mehl will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from noon until services begin.
