Mary A. Spickler
WILLIAMSPORT - Mary Alice Spickler, 83, formerly of Milestone Garden Apartments, died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997, at Clearview Nursing Home, Hagerstown.
Born Aug. 3, 1914, in Scotland, Pa., she was the daughter of the late George I. and Rosa Perry Maun.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Hagerstown.
She is survived by one daughter, Louise Draper of Williamsport; one sister, Virginia Myers of Greencastle, Pa.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. James E. Swecker officiating.
There will be no viewing.

Edna R. Ebersole
SHARPSBURG - Edna Regina "Pansy" Ebersole, 79, of 5518 Sharpsburg Pike, died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997, at Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village, Boonsboro.
Born Aug. 20, 1918, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Francis and Edna Wolfe Mose.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard H. Ebersole, in 1979.
She was employed by Maryland Correctional Institution for 30 years prior to retirement.
She was a member of Sharpsburg Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by her husband, Roy L. Ebersole; three sisters, Nellie Huff, Mary Lashley and Ruby Saunders, all of Hagerstown; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Betty J. Long; and one brother, John Mose.
Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery, Boonsboro. The Rev. Jerry Carpenter will officiate.
Friends may call at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral home will be open Thursday after 9 a.m. for the convenience of family and friends.

Floyd E. Stine
MIDDLETOWN, Md. - Floyd Eyster "Musty" Stine, 90, of 12 E. Main St., died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997, at Northampton Manor Nursing Home, Frederick, Md.
Born Oct. 31, 1906, in Middletown, he was the son of the late Eyster and Laura Poole Stine.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Flook Stine, in 1986.
He served as burgess of Middletown from 1948 to 1981. In his early life, he was employed as a painter in Baltimore. When he returned to Middletown, he was employed by Derr's Store and later Warren's Men Shop in Middletown. After their closing, he operated his own paint contracting business in Middletown
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown, and served as secretary-treasurer of Zion Lutheran Cemetery
board for many years.
He was a member of Middletown Volunteer Fire Co.
He is survived by one daughter, Gloria Waters of Myersville, Md.; and one sister, Helen Lindsay of Middletown.
Services will be private. The Rev. Donald L. Turley will officiate. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown.
There will be no visitation.

Orland L. Ingream Jr.
GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Orland L. "Bud" Ingream Jr., 77, of 243 Rowe Ave., and a guest of ManorCare Health Services, Chambersburg, Pa., died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 1997, in the nursing home.
Born Feb. 17, 1920, in Greencastle, he was the son of the late Orland L. Ingream Sr. and Mollie G. Garman Ingream.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte J. Faith Ingream, in 1995.
He was a 1938 graduate of Greencastle High School.
Prior to graduation from high school and following, he worked for the Arvid "Plug" Minnich Funeral Home, presently the Miller-Grove Funeral Home, Greencastle. Prior to retiring in 1982, he was a supervisor in shipping at Fairchild Aircraft Manufacturing, Hagerstown. He served the company for 41 years.
He was a veteran of World War II and served with the U.S. Army. He served at the Armored School in Fort Knox, Ky., with the rank of staff sergeant.
He was a member of Greencastle Presbyterian Church.
He was past commander and member of Frank L. Carbaugh Post 373 American Legion, Greencastle, and member of National AARP.
He is survived by one daughter, Brenda M. Newcomer of Greencastle; two sons, Arvid O. Ingream of Greencastle and Jeffrey L. Ingream of Hagerstown; one sister, Jessie G. Matthews of Hagerstown; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Katharyne I. Heisey.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Miller-Grove Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St., Greencastle. The Rev. Rawley D. Boone will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday one hour prior to the services.

George W. Dando
FAIRFIELD, Pa. - Chaplain George William "Bill" Dando, 62, of 18 Gladys Trail, died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997, at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, Pa.
Born May 24, 1935, in Baltimore, he was the son of Llewellyn S. and Mariesther Anderson Dando of Chambersburg. He lived his early life in Baltimore.
He was a 1954 graduate of West Nottingham Academy, Colora, Md. He was a 1959 graduate of Baylor University, Waco, Texas. He also was a 1963 graduate of Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
He served with the U.S. Army for three years, stationed in Waco. He later served with the U.S. Navy from 1964 until retiring in 1983. He served at various stations throughout the world.
He has had numerous interim pastorates since his retirement from the Navy. He most recently was the executive director for the Military Chaplain Association.
He was a member of numerous military veterans organizations.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Diane Mills Dando, whom he married on Sept. 1, 1976; one son, Ross S. Dando of Nampa, Ind.; one sister, Clarajane Nunn of Scotland, Pa.; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lower Marsh Creek Presbyterian Church, 1865 Knoxlyn Road, Gettysburg, Pa. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

Myles I.C. Cogan
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Myles I.C. Cogan, 68, of Shepherdstown, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 1997, in his home.
Born June 3, 1929, in Tampico, Mexico, he was the son of the late M.H.R. Cogan and Ruth Sessoms Cogan.
He received his D.D.S. degree from University of Texas, M.H.P. degree from University of Michigan, and M.S.D. degree from Baylor Dental School. He was a member of Sigma Xi, the science honor society, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the dental honor society.
He joined the Veterans Administration as an oral surgeon in 1966 and was dental clinic chief at Martinsburg Veterans Administration Medical Center in 1973, until his retirement in July 1997. Upon his retirement, he received two certificates of commendation from the Veterans Administration.
He was a diplomat of American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a fellow of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a fellow of American Association of Hospital Dentists, and a fellow of American College of Dentists.
He received the Southwest Society of Oral Surgeons Prize for his graduate school research on treatment of trigemnal neuralgia, and presented papers, which were later published at the Fourth and Seventh International Conferences on Oral Surgery, held in the Netherlands and Ireland.
He held the appointment of professor of clinical oral surgery at West Virginia University School of Dentistry and was Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International.
He was listed in Marquis publications as "Who's Who in the East," "Who's Who in the South and Southwest," and "Who's Who in Medicine."
He served in the U.S. Air Force Dental Corps as captain.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Felicia Henderson Cogan; one daughter, Courtenay Cogan Diederich of Middletown, Md.; one granddaughter, Clara Diederich; and one grandson, Marc Diederich.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Trinity Episcopal Church Columbarium in Shepherdstown.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at their home, 105 Shepherd Lane, Shepherdstown.

Margaret L. Brandenburg
Margaret Louise "Mom" Brandenburg, 84, formerly of 322 E. Franklin St., Hagerstown, died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born March 26, 1913, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Arthur L. and Catherine Andrews Carpenter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl V. "Brandy" Brandenburg, in 1983.
She was employed by Hagerstown Laundry until retiring in 1977. She was employed by Municipal Swimming Pool for 28 years. She previously worked at City Hall.
She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church and the Fidelity Sunday School Class.
She was a member of the Democratic Women.
She is survived by two daughters, Catherine Johnson and Marion Reno, both of Hagerstown; three sons, Earl V. Brandenburg Jr. of Phoenix, Arthur M. Brandenburg of Carnegie, Pa., and Sigmund Brandenburg of Kennesaw, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Stephen D. Robinson and the Rev. Ann V. Atkins will officiate. Burial will be in Beautiful View Cemetery, State Line, Md.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.

Margaret E. Brosious
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Margaret E. "Marg" Brosious, 83, of 182 Falling Spring Road, died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997, at ManorCare Health Services, Chambersburg.
Born March 7, 1914, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Ruth Fahnestock Slaybaugh.
She was a homemaker. She had one time worked as an assistant in the dental office of Dr. Dwight M. Edward, Chambersburg.
She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Chambersburg, where she had been a member of the Christian Women's Society. She had played the piano for the Sunday school.
She volunteered for various fund-raisers for the American Red Cross.
She is survived by her husband, Charles D. Brosious, whom she married on Sept. 2, 1939; one daughter, Linda N. Reichenbach of Chambersburg; one son, C. Richard Brosious of Mont Alto, Pa.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold W. "Slip" Slaybaugh and Robert W. Slaybaugh.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Harold E. Posey will officiate.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
