Park, Frances Irene
Frances Irene Park of Denton, MD, died Wed y, June 30, 2010, in the Memorial Hospital in Easton, MD. She was 83 years old.
Born in Ridgetown, Ontario, Canada, on September 3, 1926, Frances was the daughter of the late Lorne and Winnifred (West) Dempster. She was a longtime resident of Arnold, MD and had spent the last years of her life at the Homestead Manor, an assisted living residence in Denton.
Frances was a talented artist whose paintings won awards and appeared in magazines. A member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society, she often used the wildlife of the Eastern Shore as one of her favorite subjects.
Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Archibald Park, and her son, Michael. She is survived by her three daughters and their families: Patricia, Terry, and Lara Miller of Arnold, MD; Kathryn, Neil, Shannon, and Corrie Langsner of Millersville, MD; and Karen, Max, and Sam Herman Vancouver, British Columbia.
A quiet service will be held for the family in the immediate future. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests for friends to send memorial donations to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, 6 Herndon Ave., Annapolis, MD 21403.

Dadswell, Bruce E.
Bruce Edgar Dadswell, of Clayton, passed away on Tuesday January 6 at Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover. He was 77.
He was born in Harriston, Ontario, Canada on September 16, 1931. He and his family moved to Clayton, Delaware on June 6, 1964.
He worked for the Town of Clayton and retired in the late 1980's. He was a life member of the Clayton Fire Company #1 Inc., and held the offices of Rescue Captain and Historian, as well as receiving the fireman of the year award in 1968. He was also a fifty-year member of Harriston Masonic Lodge #262.
Bruce enjoyed horse racing and woodworking, and the most important things in life were his wife and family.
He was loved and will be missed by his wife of 50 years, Helen Dadswell; his daughters, Patsy Schiller and husband Richard, of New Castle; and Beverly Whalen and husband Rodney, of Clayton; four grandchildren, Eric Schiller and his wife Jenny; Brittany Whalen; Amy Schiller; and Samantha Whalen; two great-grandchildren, Rylee and Jack Schiller. He is also survived by his twin sister, Beryl Smith and husband Lloyd, of Brussels, Ontario; a sister, Dorothy Fitzsimmons, of Windsor, Ontario; and a brother, Roy Dadswell, of Owen Sound, Ontario, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff of ICU at Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover.
Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday January 10 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.

Kalouroumakis, Emmanuel J.
Emmanuel J. Kaloroumakis, 79 of Salisbury, died on Friday, January 24, 2003 at the Salisbury Center: Genesis Eldercare.
Born in Chicopee, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late John Kaloroumakis and Caliope Dellas Kaloroumakis.
Mr. Kaloroumakis was a US Marine WWII veteran. He owned and operated Manny's Bonfire Restaurant in Jamesport, Long Island, New York for more than 20 years. He moved to Salisbury five years ago; where he had been very active in the St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Ocean City.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jeanne Karas Kaloroumakis; two children: George Kaloroumakis and his wife, Ellen, of Salisbury and Barbara Ann Flynn of Long Island, New York; five grandchildren: Peter, Katy, George, Jillian and Shawn; five brothers and sisters: Lula Kamages of San Francisco, CA, Peter Kaloroumakis of Gloucester, MA, Frieda Kaloroumakis of Chicopee, MA, James Kaloroumakis of Chicopee, MA and Betty Socha of Ludlow, MA and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother George and an infant brother Charles.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at 10:30 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Ocean City. Visitation will be held Monday, January 27, 2003 from 5-8 PM at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury, with a prayer service at 7 PM. The V. Rev. Fr. Vasilios Penterides, Archimandrite will officiate. Interment will be in Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock.

Kane, Doris Mae
On January 26, 2005, Doris Mae Kane of Millersville. Devoted wife of the late Francis Kane for 47 years; Beloved mother of Carol Hare, Janet Bennett, Kathy Butler, John Hammell, Karen Costello and Kevin Kane; Loving grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of 21.
A member of Christ Lutheran Church of Millersville, Doris also enjoyed sewing, gardening and computers.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Friday at the family owned Singleton Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Hwy., Annapolis, MD 21401.
Kairis, William J.
William J. Kairis of Lewes, 85, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Harbor Healthcare, Lewes.
He was born on August 5, 1923 in Philadelphia, PA.
William served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII and also had worked as a truck driver.
He leaves no known survivors.
Services will be 11 am Tuesday, May 26 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.

Kalb, Maria S.
Maria S. Kalb of Smyrna, Delaware was called home by God on Saturday June 2, 2007 surrounded by her loving family.
She was 68.
Mrs. Kalb was born on August 26, 1938 in Teocaltiche, Mexico, the daughter of the late Ezequiel and Alejandra Calderon.
She was very proud and thankful to become a United States Citizen. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was most notable for her ability to love unconditionally.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roberto Calderon of Mexico.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Franz "Sam" Kalb, six children; Samuel R. Kalb of Pike Creek, Delaware, Alejandra "Sandy" Barnett of Smyrna, David F. Kalb and his wife Barbara of Smyrna, Erick A. Kalb and his wife Marianne of Smyrna, Victoria K. Carter and her husband Jim of Middletown, Delaware, and Jacob O. Kalb and his wife Lorianne of Bear, Delaware, ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two sisters; Herminia Tejeda of Mexico, and Juana Chase and her husband Chuck of Kenton, Delaware, a brother, Ezequiel Calderon and his wife Oralia of Mexico, and many nieces and nephews.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff of Compassionate Care Hospice and to Dr. Timothy Wozniak of the HGCC for their kindness to Mrs. Kalb during her illness. Also, the family would like to thank all their friends for their support and prayers throughout this difficult time.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing in celebration of Maria's life on Wednesday June 6, 2007 from 7 to 9PM at the Faries Funeral Chapel located on 29 S. Main Street Smyrna, Delaware. A Catholic Funeral will be held on Thursday June 7, 2007 at 11AM at St. Polycarp's Parish in Smyrna. Burial will be at the Delaware Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Bear, Delaware.
