Jackson, Sara M.
Sara M. Jackson, 79, of Dailsville, passed away on Sunday morning, March 16, 2003 at the Mallard Bay Care Center. She was the wife of Ralph W. Jackson, Jr.
She was born at Griffith Neck on Feb. 17, 1924, the daughter of the late Horace McLane and Melissa Travers Murphy. She was raised and attended public schools in Griffith Neck and Vienna. She was married to Mr. Jackson on January 25, 1947 and enjoyed being a "farm wife", including cooking and gardening. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, the Dorchester County Farm Bureau, and a former 4 H leader. Since April of 2001 she has resided at the Mallard Bay Care Center.
She is survived by her husband, a daughter Melissa Robbins and her husband Steve, two sons, G. Philip Jackson and his wife Diana, and Ralph W. Jackson, III (Sonny) and his wife, Gail, all of Cambridge, ten grandchildren, Philip Jackson, Jr., Paul M. Jackson, Dr. Krista Morgan, Shannon R. Jackson, Ralph W. Jackson, IV (Trent), Lisa Edsall, Stephanie Robbins, Steven Barnett, Richard Barnett, and Theresa Ferris, 13 great-grandchildren, one brother William T. Murphy of Griffith Neck, one niece, and two nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, R. Grant Barnett, a brother Horace G. Murphy, and a sister Mary Elizabeth Murphy.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Thomas Funeral Home at 1 p.m. on Wednesday by Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr. Friends will be received at the funeral home during the hour before the service. Burial will take place in Christ Churchyard. Pall bearers will be Richard Barnett, Philip Jackson, Jr., Paul M. Jackson, Ralph Jackson, IV, Dr. Kevin Morgan and Goldsborough James, Jr.

Jackson, Rev. Benjamin F.
Rev. Benjamin F. Jackson, 83, of Mardela Springs passed away Wednesday, August 27 at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. He was born in Cambridge on October 5, 1919 and was the son of the late Samuel and Agnes Marie Hubbard Jackson.
Rev. Jackson attended schools in Dorchester County and worked for a short while for Phillips Packing Company. He served in the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U. S. Merchant Marine and the U.S. Coast Guard from 1940 through 1945. In 1946 moving to Baltimore, he worked for Bethlehem Steel for a number of years. In 1950, he moved to Ohio and married Helen L. Jackson on December 25, 1950; she passed away November 3, 1990. Then, after a move to California in 1953, he worked for U.S. Fan Steel where he made missiles. While in Azusa, California, Rev. Jackson attended the Azusa Bible College and received his Master's Degree in 1968. Most of his life was spent in Long Beach. In 1985, he came back to Cambridge and did some evangalism for Mallard Bay Care Center, the Bradford House and Glasgow Nursing Home. On November 13, 1991, he married Doris Marie Parks. Rev. Jackson enjoyed working on the water, fishing, and crabbing and his hobby was serving the Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Parks Jackson of Mardela Springs; a daughter, Carolyn Jackson of Mardela Springs; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; two brothers, James Jackson of Federalsburg and, Wallace Jackson of Santa Clara, California; three sisters, Margaret Fairbanks of Cambridge, Dotty Cline of Rhodesdale and Peggy Sizemore of Hudson, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by fourteen brothers and sisters.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Cambridge with the Rev. Edwin Dennis officiating. Friends will be received one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Federalsburg.
Jackson, John Blane
John Blane Jackson, 50, of Perryville, MD, died Friday, February 18, 2005 at V.A. Hospital in Baltimore.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late John C. Jackson Sr. and Olivia I. Lievense Jackson.
Mr. Jackson was a retired Tech Sargeant with the U.S. Air Force. He was a fun loving person.
He is survived by three siblings: Marian Jackson of Salisbury, Charles William Jackson of Arlington, TX and John Charles Jackson Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA; and nine nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 26, 2005 at 11 AM at Holloway Funeral Home. Friends may call Tuesday from 10:30 to 11 AM. Interment will be in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock, MD.

Jackson, Louise Wooters
Louise May Wooters Jackson of Preston, MD, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005 at the Memorial Hospital at Easton, MD. She was 73.
She was born May 16, 1931 in Williston, MD, the daughter of the late Carroll Devon Wooters, Sr. and Gladys Elizabeth "Bessie" Orlowski Wooters.
She was a graduate of Preston High School Class of 1950 and had retired from E.I. DuPont in Seaford, DE after 33 years of service. She was a member of the Women's Bowling League at E.I. DuPont, and was a past member of Seaford Golf and Country Club. She was a devoted member of Holy Child in Bethlehem, MD. She was a devoted aunt to her nieces and nephew, enjoyed traveling and took pride in her home.
She is survived by her husband, Robert H. Jackson, a brother, David Eugene Wooters, Sr. of Bethlehem, one nephew and four nieces and their children. Two sisters, Gladys Elizabeth Wooters, and Marian Dorothy Wooters, and a brother, Carroll Devon "Jute" Wooters, Jr., preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Feb. 7, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home, P.A. in Federalsburg with Rev. Glenn Staehli officiating. Interment will follow in Junior Order Cemetery in Preston, MD. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. A prayer of blessing will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. with Father John Harrison. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Preston Volunteer Fire Co., P.O. Box 83, Preston, MD 21655.
CHARLES L. JACKSON
Charles Leon Jackson, 69, of Cambridge, passed away Friday, March 1, 2002 at Salisbury Center in Salisbury, Maryland after a prolonged illness.
He was born April 19, 1932 in Cambridge, son of the late Francis E. Chester.
Mr. Jackson graduated from F.D. St. Clair High School in Cambridge. From 1951-1954, he served in the United States Army. He was later employed for many years at Webster's Building Supply in Cambridge. He was also a long-time member of the American Legion Post 0087.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2002 at 11:00 am at Henry Funeral Home, Cambridge with Ministers Lemuel and Lavonne Chester, pastors of The Anointed -One Ministry officiating. Burial will follow at the Eastern Shore Veteran's Cemetery at Beulah.
Friends may visit on Monday evening 6:30-7:30 pm at the funeral home.
Jackson, Edith
Edith M. Jackson, formerly of Rhodesdale, MD, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003 at Millennium Health & Rehabilitation Center in Marley Park, MD. She was 98.
She was born Feb. 11, 1905 in Delmar, De, the daughter of the late William Henry Davis and Nancy Sarah Figgs Davis. Her husband Harry Jackson, preceded her in death on July 18, 1994.
She worked in nursing for many years in local hospitals.
She is survived by two sons, Myrlon (Correct spelling) H. Carmean of Hiawassee, GA, and Burton T. Carmean of Cambridge, MD, nine step-children, Anita Hubbard of MD, Paul Jackson, Sr. of Reliance, MD, Donald Jackson of Cambridge, Judith Breazile of Beaverton, Oregon, Virginia Lynch of Milford, DE, Carl Jackson of Cambridge, Lucille Hagadorn of Federalsburg, James Jackson of Dias Creek, NJ, and Therma (correct spelling) Schuartz of New Castle, DE, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren. A daughter, Edna T. Hammel, and a son, George W. Carmean, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 1, 2003 at 1:00 p.m.at the Framptom Funeral Home, P.A. in Federalsburg with Rev. Dan Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Cambridge. Friends may call on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jackson, Albert Vincent
ALBERT VINCENT JACKSON, son of the late George Parker and Martha Monk, departed from this life on Wednesday, November 28, 2001 at the Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, Maryland.
He was born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, on November 26, 1917. He was educated in the local school system. He attended college at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
After college he had various jobs at the Aberdeen Proving Ground. He started out as a baker, and later became a building inspector. Finally through a study course, he improved himself and landed a job as an electrician which he had until he retired after 33 years in 1984. He was a lifetime member of the NAACP.
He was married to Audrey V. Hawkins in 1957. From that union one child was born, Ronald J. Jackson. He was capable of doing many things. He was a jack of all trades indeed. He loved boating, gardening and building many things. He built the very house he lived in from the ground up.
He was baptized in Jesus name at Gospel Tabernacle Cburch under the late Bishop Charles Johnson. He was ill briefly, and on the morning of Wednesday, November 28, 2001, God called him home.
He leaves to mourn his passing; one son, Ronald J. Jackson; one granddaughter, DeAunta Jackson; one devoted daughter-in-law, Delene C. Jackson, all of Havre de Grace, Maryland; 5 stepchildren; 1 sister-in-law, Martha Jackson of Baltimore, Maryland; nieces, great nieces, great great nieces; nephews, great nephews, great great nephews; cousins, and a host of friends.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday December 3, 2001 at Highway Holiness Church, 511 Edmund Street, Aberdeen, MD where friends may call one hour prior. Burial will be in St. James United Cemetery, Havre de Grace, MD.
