D'Aprix, Shirley S.
Shirley S. D'Aprix, 71, of Ocean Pines, died Friday, November 17, 2000 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin.
Born in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Miriam Neuthaler Hinitch. Her husband, Charles D'Aprix died in 1979.
Mrs. D'Aprix was a member of the Friends of Library in Ocean Pines.
No formal services are planned at this time.

MARY GAY CALCOTT
Salisbury - Mary Gay Calcott, 72, of Salisbury, died, Thursday, February 20,2003 at her home. Born in Charlottesville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Myers Whitnall Calcott and Doris Gay Calcott.
Miss Calcott moved to Salisbury with her family in 1946. She attended Wicomico High School, graduating in 1948. She earned her A.B. degree in English from Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, VA, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She received her Master of Arts degree, also in English, from the University of Virginia.
Miss Calcott spent her career in teaching. She taught for one year at Cradock High School in Portsmouth, VA. She then taught for four years at Mary Washington College, Fredericksburg, VA, before joining the faculty of Salisbury State College now Salisbury University, in 1962. She retired from the university in 1993. She loved learning and teaching and was very happy in her career.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Salisbury.
She is survived by long-time friend and housemate, Sandra Poole; by her sisters and brothers Elizabeth C. and Richard S. Wootten and Doris C. and J.D. Burkett; by her nieces and nephews, Linda W. and Peter Hutchinson, Richard S. Wootten and Amy Sargent, Jeffrey and Barbara Burkett and John and Brenda Burkett; and by six great nieces and nephews, Erin Anderson, Kyle Anderson, Ashley Wootten, Emily Wootten, Christopher Burkett, Katherine Burkett, Stephanie Burkett, and Julie Burkett.
Following cremation a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cadmus III, Cornelius V
Cornelius V. "Neil" Cadmus III of Georgetown died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 40.
He was an auto mechanic by trade and was a good one at that.
Cornelius attended Easter Seals and Calvary Baptist Church in Georgetown.
Before moving to Delaware he served as an ambulance driver in East Windsor, Conn., and was very proud of his service.
Cornelius loved spending time with his nieces and nephew.
He was passionate about country music.
He was a good guy and was well liked. He would give the shirt off his back.
Cornelius was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth (Brennan) Cadmus, in 2005.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.
The Rev. Richard Blades from the Calvary Baptist Church, Georgetown, will officiate.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Millsboro.

Cage, Barbara Ann
Barbara Ann (Akins) Cage, daughter of the late Melvin Cevis and Annie Akins was born April 13, 1961 in Darlington, MD. She departed this life on Tuesday, July, 11, 2006 at the Cancer Treatment Center of America, Philadelphia, PA at the age of 45.
She was affectionately known as "Bubby" by family members and friends.
Barbara Ann graduated from Havre De Grace High School in 1979.
She accepted Christ at an early age at Hosanna AME Church in Darlington, MD and later joined Lighthouse Ministries of Faith Church, Baltimore MD under the leadership of Pastor James W. Brooks.
Barbara Ann was joined in Holy Matrimony to Chester D. Cage on August 31, 2001.
She was a plant operator for five years at J.M. Huber Corporation, Havre De Grace, MD.
Her favorite past time was watching Court TV, playing softball, volleyball, cheerleading and spending time with her sister Roxanne and cousin Christine. She was a loving and caring person to all who she came in contact with.
Barbara Ann is survived by her husband Chester Cage, Aberdeen, MD; mother, Annie Akins, Darlington, MD; one sister, Roxanne Wright, Aberdeen, MD; two brothers, Tyrone Akins, Wilmington, DE; Paul Johnson, Baltimore, MD; five sisters-in-law, Joan Akins, Wilmington, DE; Renee Johnson, Baltimore, MD; Joan Webster (Nelson), Darlington, MD; Robin Scott (Gerald), Havre De Grace, MD; Mary Ellen Jackson (Iverson), Little Rock, AR; three brothers-in-law, Robin Wright, Aberdeen, MD; Stephen Webster (Christine), Aberdeen, MD; Jeffrey Webster, Aberdeen, MD; one Godson, Jonathan Logan, Darlington, MD; best friend Donna Gray, Havre De Grace, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Service will be held at 12 noon. on Saturday July 15, 2006 at Hosanna A.M.E. Church, 2418 Castleton Road, Darlington, MD where friends may call starting at10 a.m. Burial will be in Berkley Cemetery, Darlington, MD.
Cain, Elva N.
Elva Natalie Presberry Cain was born April 30, 1915 to the late Kenton and Dora Presberry in Darlington, Maryland. She entered into glory on Saturday, July 5, 2008, at the Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center in Havre de Grace, Maryland. She was 93.
Mrs. Cain was married to Edward Hayes Cain. He preceded her in death on January 22. 1990.
Mrs. Cain attended the Hosanna School during her elementary years. After graduating from Hosanna, she went to Baltimore City in order to attend Booker T. Washington Jr. High School and Frederick Douglass High School. Continuing in her father's footsteps, she attended Bowie Normal School and became certified to teach in 1937.
Upon returning to Harford County, she taught in Baltimore County until she received a permanent position at a one-room school, teaching 7 grades in Cedars, Maryland. Spent seven years at this school before completing her final years of teaching at Hosanna Elementary School during the 1945-46 school year.
Mrs. Cain was very active in Hosanna AM.E. Church. She served as Church Secretary for 27 years; she was also, secretary of the Missionary and Ushering Boards for 50 years. Her dedication to church activities was demonstrated by a commitment to serve as recording secretary for the Interdenominational Church Ushers Association of Maryland, Inc., She also served on the Steward Board.
Elva enjoyed reading her Bible, which she read every day until her health failed. She liked to write poems, draw and needle work.
She leaves to cherish her memory: three step-children Dorothy C. Collins (Edgar), Lloyd E. Cain (Frances), Aberdeen, Maryland, Bernice R. Culpepper, Baltimore, Maryland; eight step-grand children, Joan Warfield (Solmon), Aberdeen, Maryland, Mildred Martin (Jerry), Aberdeen, Maryland, Donald E. Cain, Aberdeen, Maryland, Darnell Stewart, Joppatown,. Maryland, Anthony W. Collins Washington, DC, Kyle Culpepper (Martha), Gaithersburg, Maryland, Rodney Culpepper (Annette), Severn, Maryland, Angela E. Collins, Aberdeen, Maryland; two sisters: Minnie Bowles, Sandy Springs, Maryland, Zilpha P. Thomas (William), Monkton, Maryland; two nieces: Zilpha P. Smith (Cornelius), Aberdeen, Maryland, Veronica Marshall, Bladensburg, Maryland; two nephews, Russell M. Presberry (Shirley),Darlington, Maryland, Leonard Presberry, Edgewood, Maryland; a devoted cousin, Clara Montaque, Chicago, IL.; one sister-in-law, Agnes E. Presberry, Darlington, Maryland; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by two brothers: Earl O. Presberry and Russell Presberry.
