ROBERT F. CLARK
CRESAPTOWN - Robert Franklin Clark, 62, of Cresaptown, went to be with the Lord and his mother and father, on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born June 8, 1935, in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of the late Jesse C. Clark and Christina W. (Maine) Clark Moore.
Surviving are his wife, June M. (Steele) Clark; one daughter, Marvette M. (Clark) Noel and husband Michael, Hancock; two sons, Franklin J. Clark and wife Monica, Bowling Green, and Robert Grandon Clark, Cumberland; three grandchildren, Susan K. Noel, Hancock, Joshua F. Clark and Kathryn M. Clark, both of Bowling Green; three sisters; two brothers, the closest of which is John C. Clark and wife Jean Ann; and nephew, John W. Clark.
Mr. Clark was employed for 16 years with Ort's Baking Company and he retired as a baker from Stroehman's Bakery after 22 years of service. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserves from 1952 to 1958 and the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1962 in the Second Armored Division in Fort Hood, Texas, and the Third Armored Division in Germany. Mr. Clark's hobby was auto repair. He will be missed by his friends at Cliff's Garage in Cresaptown. He was a former member of the Amvets in Cresaptown. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be sadly missed.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, Cresaptown, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
At Mr. Clark's request, he will be cremated. There will be no service.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park at a later date.
KENNETH W. CLARK (FUNERAL)
CUMBERLAND - Services for Kenneth W. Clark, 70, of Valley Road, Cumberland, will be conducted at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Pastor Florence E. Shewbridge and Pastor Charles K. Ringler officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Jim Quin, Don Davis, John Broll, Steven Boyd, Richard Boyd, and Rodney Scott.
KENNETH W. CLARK
CUMBERLAND - Kenneth W. Clark, 70, of Valley Road, Cumberland, died Friday, Sept. 12, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Dec. 6, 1926, in Chaneysville, Pa., he was the son of the late Thomas Lewis and Vesta Grace (Trail) Clark. He also was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Lou Clark and Ivy Louise Clark.
Mr. Clark was a Navy veteran of World War II and a retired tractor trailer driver of the Potomac Farms Dairy of Cumberland. He was a member of the Grace Community Church, Valley Road, and a Trustee for the Teamsters Union - Local 453.
Surviving are his wife, Genevieve M. Clark; one son, Kenneth Leo Clark and wife Chom Sun, Hinesville, Ga.; and five sisters, Zarelda Dishong, Everett, Pa.; Maxine Schultz, Waynesboro, Pa.; Virginia Boyd, Aline Ringler, and Malda Riley, all of Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

JESSE M. CLARK
LAVALE - Jesse Matthew Clark, 79, of LaVale, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Feb. 24, 1918, in Lonaconing, he was the son of the late John and Laura Clark.
Mr. Clark had worked at the Schmidt baker. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Isabell (Crowe) Clark; three step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews including Juanita Fuente, Lonaconing.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m.
The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Stephen Yelovich officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.
FLORENCE M. HOUSE
OLDTOWN - Florence Margaret (Humbertson) House, 90, of Oldtown, died Monday, Aug. 4, 1997, at Memorial Hospital.
Born July 13, 1907, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Myrtle Maybell (King) Humbertson. She also was preceded in death by two sisters; four brothers; and one great-granddaughter.
Mrs. House was a homemaker. She was a member of Centre Street United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star McKinley Chapter 12, Dames of Molta and North Cumberland Homemakers Club.
Surviving are her husband John James House; three sons, John Frank House, Cumberland, William Marvin House and wife Marietta, Clear Spring, and Duane House, Oldtown; two daughters, Mary Margaret Price, Bedford, Pa., and Pauline Conley and husband David, Rochester Hills, Mich.; two brothers, Frank Humbertson, Oldtown, and William Humbertson, Spring Hill, Fla.; three sisters, Effie Boggs, Cumberland, Edith Humbertson, Oldtown, and Ruth Maestri, Fairfax, Va.; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial service will be conducted by the OES McKinley Chapter 12 on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Adam E. Grim officiating.
Interment will be in the Davis Memorial cemetery.
GEORGE R. CLARK SR.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - George Robert Clark Sr., 85, of 281 Fairway Circle, Rock Hill, formerly of Cumberland, died Wednesday, April 16, 1997, at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill.
A native of Cumberland, Mr. Clark retired from Hoechst Celanese after 41 years of service, where he was superintendent of textiles. He was a member of Rock Hill's Elk Lodge and a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church.
Surviving are two sons, George R. Clark Jr., and James E. Clark, both of Rock Hill; his daughter, Suzanne C. Russell, Rock Hill; three brothers, Michael "Mickey" Clark, Robert L. Clark and James W. Clark, all of Cumberland; three sisters, Mary Jane Hobrock, Sarah Grace Clark and Emma Lee Clark, all of Cumberland; and his grandchild.
Funeral services were held at St. Anne's Catholic Church with the Rev. William Pentis officiating.
Interment was held on Saturday, April 19, 1997, at Grandview Memorial Park, Rock Hill.

ELVA J. CLARK
WESTERNPORT - Elva Jane Clark, 70, of 96 Poplar St., Westernport, died Monday, July 14, 1997, at her residence.
Born Jan. 3, 1927, in Swanton, she was the daughter of the late Sheridian Johnston and Elva Grace (Friend) Johnston. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent T. Clark Sr. on Feb. 22, 1989; one daughter, Martha Ann Clark Howard; and one son, Vincent Clark Jr.
Mrs. Clark was a member of Saint Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport, and the Ladies Auxiliary Victory Post 155 American Legion, Westernport.
Surviving are two sons, Marshall Sheridian Clark, Keyser, W.Va., and Robert Paul Clark, Keyser, W.Va.; four daughters, Bernadette Jane Arnold, Westernport, Eva Christine Rodriguez, Texas, Elva May Wagoner, Texas, and Cheryl Lee Dyer, Westernport; 13 grandchildren, Marshall Paul Clark, Tony Hoopengardner, Doug Howard, Marcy Rodriguez, Jessica Clark, Jason Hoopengardner, Natalie Clark, Chrystal Howard, Steve Dyer, Naomi Rodriguez, Jamie Clark, Chad Clark and Stacy Hoopengardner; five sisters, Margaret Ann Beaver, Keyser, W.Va., Mary Alice Symmons, N.D., Betty Virginia Clark, Westernport, Dorothy Lou Blizzard, Westernport, and Shirley Hope Dayton, McCoole; and one brother, Sheridian Johnston, McCoole.
Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, Lonaconing, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Peter's Catholic Church on Friday at 8:30 a.m. with Father James Hannon as celebrant.
Interment will be in the Rocky Gap Veterans cemetery, near Cumberland.
BERTHA R. CLARK
LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Bertha R. (Glantzer) Clark, 94, of Los Angeles, formerly of Washington, Pa., died Tuesday, June 10, 1997.
Born Aug. 8, 1902, in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Elizabeth (Wagner) Glantzer. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur P. Clark Sr., on Feb. 27, 1961, of whom she married
on Dec. 24, 1919, in Cumberland, Md.; an infant son; four brothers, John, Carl, Alva and Russell Glantzer; and two sisters, Daisy Nixon and Evelyn Brooks.
Mrs. Clark was a homemaker.
Surviving are two daughters, Dorothy Barrett and husband Earl, and Anna May Clark, with whom she made her home, both of Los Angeles; one son Arthur P. Clark Jr., Washington, Pa.; one sister, Anna E. McCrorie, Rockville, Md.; eight grandchildren, David Barrett, Paul Barrett, Bryan Barrett, Barbara Hebda, Patricia Hebda, Karen Clark, John Clark, and Vicky Frey; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services took place at the Inglewood Mortuary, Inglewood, on Thursday, June 12, and at the Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, Washington, Pa., on Saturday, June 14, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Interment took place on Monday, June 16, at the Hillcrest Memorial Park, Cumberland.
