JEAN BOLYARD
LONACONING - Jean Bolyard, 60, of 68 Jackson St., Lonaconing, died Wednesday, June 25, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born March 13, 1937, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Francis T. Nicol and Annie (Clupp) Nicol.
Mrs. Bolyard was a homemaker and worked at the HP Store for 12 years.
Surviving are her husband, Donald L. Bolyard; one son, Rick L. Bolyard, Lonaconing; one daughter, Vicky L. Bolyard-Steiner, Gilmore; one brother, Paul R. Nicol, Lonaconing; one sister, Pauline Matthews, Cresaptown; two grandsons, Tyler and Chad Steiner, Gilmore; three nieces; and one nephew.
Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, Lonaconing, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Lawrence Frye officiating.
Interment will be in the Laurel Hill cemetery.
EUGENE R. "RAGS" BOLYARD
CUMBERLAND - Eugene "Rags" Richard Bolyard, 68, of Cumberland, died Friday, Dec. 5, 1997, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Feb. 15, 1929, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late John and Margaret (Ayermans) Bolyard.
He also was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Kay (Koegel) Bolyard; and one daughter, Eugenia Kay Bolyard.
Mr. Bolyard had done construction work for several local companies.
He attended St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
Mr. Bolyard was a member of Fort Cumberland Post #13, American Legion, and the Cumberland Outdoor Club.
Survivors include one daughter, Susan Gene Bolyard, at home; one brother, James Bolyard and wife, Margie, Ridgeley, W.Va.; his mother-in-law, Genevieve Koegel, Cumberland; a brother-in-law, Richard Koegel and wife, Janet, Cumberland; a sister-in-law Victoria Hoblitzell and husband, George, Jr., Cumberland; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the George-Upchurch Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral will be conducted from St. Luke's Lutheran Church on Monday, Dec. 8, 1997, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Stephen F. Yelovich officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Military honors will be accorded at the graveside by the local combined veterans honor guard.
DONNA KAY BOLYARD
CUMBERLAND - Donna Kay Bolyard, 55, of Cumberland, died Saturday, May 31, 1997, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 1, 1941, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Genevieve (Triplett) Koegel, Cumberland, and the late Clarence Joseph Koegel. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Eugenia Kay Bolyard.
Mrs. Bolyard had worked at Mason's Barn and Marriott Food Service at Frostburg State University. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Cumberland.
Surviving are her husband, Eugene Bolyard; one daughter, Susan Gene Bolyard, at home; one brother, Richard Joseph Koegel and wife Janet Rae, Cumberland; one sister, Victoria Mae Hoblitzell and husband George Jr., Cumberland; two nieces; one nephew; and two great-nephews.
Friends will be received at the Geroge-Upchurch Funeral Home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen F. Yelovich officiating.
The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
HAZEL S. GLOVER
FLINTSTONE - Hazel S. Glover, 91, of Flintstone, died Friday, July 18, 1997, at Cumberland Nursing Home.
Born February 13, 1906, in Pendleton County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Annie (Harmon) Stonestreet. She also was preceded in death by husbands George Bottenfield and Mason Claude Glover; one sister, Mabel Teter; and three brothers, Guy, Gay and Earl Stonestreet.
Mrs. Glover was a retired school teacher. She taught in Carroll and Allegany Counties. She retired from Flintstone School as a teacher of the first grade. She taught in Flintstone from 1953 to 1969. She was a member of the McKinley Chapter No. 12 Order of the Eastern Star, Delta Kappa Gamma Society International ETA Chapter, Twiggtown Homemakers Club for 53 years, Allegany County 4-H Club, and State of Maryland All-Stars. She was a member of Flintstone United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a sister, Virginia "Virgie" Bush, Roswell, N.M.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Fred Iser officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.
The McKinley Chapter No. 12 Order of the Eastern Star will hold a memorial service at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m.
HENRY A. BOLLACK
FLINTSTONE - Henry Arnold Bollack, 66, of Scofield Road, Flintstone, died Friday, Oct. 3, 1997, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born July 17, 1931, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Adam and Betty Bollack.
Mr. Bollack was a retired equipment operator for Bethlehem Steel Corporation. He was Catholic by faith.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Marlene (Siejack) Bollack; two daughters, Mary Ann Emery, Stevensville, and Jeannette Bollack, at home; an adopted daughter, Shirley Siejack, Brunswick; two brothers, Adam and Edward Bollack, both of Baltimore County; and four grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, 1302 National Highway, LaVale, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Monday at 9 a.m. with Father Milton A. Hipsley officiating.
At Mr. Bollack's request, his body will be cremated following the services.
DONALD G. BOHN
ELLERSLIE - Donald Guy Bohn, 85, of Ellerslie, died Monday, July 28, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Feb. 5, 1912, in Rainsburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Howard L. and Laura (Wolford) Bohn. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene M. (Shrout) Bohn, on March 4, 1981; his stepmother, Clara L. (Dice) Bohn; one brother, Melvin; and three sisters, Agnes DeVore, Veda Hepfer and Mildred Reese.
Surviving are two sons, James R. Bohn and wife Judy, Mount Savage, and John H. Bohn and wife Louise, Pembroke, Va.; one daughter, Barbara J. Shroyer and husband Denton, Ellerslie; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Thelma Gardner, Shinnston, W.Va.; and one sister-in-law, Dorothy Bohn, Ellerslie.
Mr. Bohn retired in 1975 as a self-employed contractor. He had been employed as a bus driver for Albright Bus Lines. He was a member of the Ellerslie United Methodist Church.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday for one hour prior to the service.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Rebecca J. Vardiman officiating.
Interment will be in the Lybarger cemetery.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, David Bohn, Gary Bohn, Rodney Bohn, D. Scott Miller and Roland Stahlman, and one nephew, Greg Landis.
