ZELLA E. DREW
FROSTBURG - Zella E. Drew, 82, of 11704 Little Run Road, Midlothian, died Monday, July 21, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born September 30, 1914, in Pinto, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Edward Negley, Sr., and Elizabeth (Schell) Negley. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Drew; one brother, Robert Negley; and one sister, Agnes Stevens.
Mrs. Drew attended the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Midlothian, and was retired from the housekeeping department of Frostburg State University.
Surviving are two daughters, Aleda Sevinsky, Frostburg, and Sharon Femi and husband Joe, Morantown; four sons, Raymond Drew, Frostburg, Dave Drew and wife Regina, Shaft, Wayne Drew and wife Cheryl, Cumberland, and Ernest Lee Drew and wife Gail, Gilmore; one sister, Betty Winters, Woodland; one brother, Edward "Junior" Negley, Frostburg; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jimmie Blair officiating.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Mark Drew, James Drew, Danny Drew, Lyn Broadwater, Larry Negley, and David Johnson.
VIRGINIA L. FLETCHER
CUMBERLAND - Virginia Lee Fletcher, 58, of Cumberland, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 11, 1997, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 23, 1938, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late James Kelly and Thelma (Knippenberg) Fletcher. She also was preceded in death by five brothers, James, Kenneth, Earl, Donald, and William Fletcher.
Miss Fletcher attended the Melvin United Methodist Church.
Surviving are four sisters, Betty Jean Bowman, Cumberland, Peggy J. Logdson and husband William, Ridgeley, W.Va., Carole A. Tribut and husband John, Short Gap, W.Va., and Darlene Taylor, Ridgeley, W.Va; two sisters-in-law, Delores Fletcher, Bowling Green, and Rita Fletcher, Lawton, Okla.; several beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; a few great-great-nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Lyle Light, Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the George-Upchurch Funeral Home, 202 Greene Street, Cumberland, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be at the funeral home on Monday, July 14, 1997, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. William S. Hart officiating.
Interment will be in Mount Hope cemetery, Flintstone.
Pallbearers will be John Tribut Sr., John Tribut Jr., Coy Robinson, Steve Logdson, Paul Fletcher, and Mike Fletcher.
RONALD D. GREEN
CUMBERLAND - Ronald David Green, 58, of Willowbrook Road, Cumberland, died Tuesday, July 29, 1997, at the Romney Hampshire County Hospital.
Born July 17, 1939, in Lonaconing, he was the son of Lola (Kirk) Green, St. Augustine, Fla., and the late Vincent J. Green.
Mr. Green was retired from the Kelly Springfield Tire Company. He was the owner and operator of the R.D. Trucking Company. His employment also included real-estate sales and auto sales. He was a member of the Cresaptown and Cumberland Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 245, Commander of Sons of the American Legion Post 13 and District Commander of Sons of the American Legion.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife Virginia Lee (Steckman) Green, Cumberland; three daughters, Terri L. Green, Barton, Robin A. Green-Clark and husband Barry, Barton, and Courtney Diaz, Frostburg; two stepsons, Wayne A. Steckman and Robert M. Steckman and wife Jody, all of Cumberland; two brothers, John "Jack" V. Green, Tampa, Fla., and Ken Green, St. Augustine, Fla.; four sisters, Joan Francis and husband Joseph, LaVale, Janice M. Johnson, St. Augustine, Fla., Christa D. Vinci and husband Robert, Midlothian, and Beverly J. Hall and husband Gary, St. Augustine, Fla.; three grandchildren, Adam D. and Brooke A. Clark and Bradley D. Green; five step grandchildren, Kayla Steckman, Andre Steckman, Jennifer Steckman, Sara Steckman and Nathan Steckman; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. George R. Loar officiating.
A Memorial Service will be conducted by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard on Thursday at 8 p.m.
OMA ELLEN (DEBERRY) ARMBRUSTER
CUMBERLAND - Oma Ellen DeBerry Armbruster, 81, of Cumberland Nursing Home, died Saturday, May 31, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born July 24, 1915, in Deer Park, she was the daughter of the late James Allen and Martha Ellen (Kidd) DeBerry. She also was preceded in death by her husband Frederick William Armbruster in 1966; one son, Roger DeBerry in 1960; three brothers; and one sister.
Mrs. Armbruster was a clerk at Storer Brother's.
Surviving are four daughters, Martha Rowe and husband Roger, LaVale, Kathleen Valentine and husband Mike, Cumberland, Mrs. Ellen Fisher, and Mrs. Henrietta Probst; one sister, Madesta DeBerry and husband Harvey, Dade City, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev. Richard Jewell officiating.
Pallbearers will be Roger Rowe III, Richard Mellotte, Jim Armbruster, David Armbruster, Jimmy Armbruster, and Fred Will.
Interment will be in Deer Park cemetery.

STEPHENS CITY, Va. - Betty Marie (Woods) Foltz, 69, of Stephens City, formerly of Midland, Md., died Sunday, June 1, 1997, at the Winchester Hospital.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Lefton Foltz; one daughter, Lyn Jones and husband James, Marshall; two grandchildren, Theresa Sunday and husband Joseph, Lakeland, Fla., and Lefton Jones of Manassas; three sisters, Roseann Morton, Laurel, Md., Mary Leone Woods, Rockville, Md., and Coletta Foote, LaVale, Md.
Funeral services were conducted at the Jones Funeral Home, Stephens City, on Tuesday, June 3, 1997. The Rev. Dennis Kleinmann of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Stephens City, officiated.
Graveside service and interment was in Stonewall Memorial Garden, Manasses.
PHYLLIS JEAN ARNOLD
MOUNTAIN LAKE PARK, Md. - Phyllis Jean Arnold, 62, of 219 G St., Mountain Lake Park, died on Friday, May 2, 1997, at West Virginia University Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
Born April 21, 1935, in Kempton, Md., she was the daughter of the late Ronald Wotring and Josephine (Turek) Wotring.
Mrs. Arnold was a bookkeeper for Arnold Brothers Equipment and a member of the Oak Park Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by her husband, Clayton R. Arnold; one son, Ronald Arnold and wife Lisa, Oakland; one daughter, Denise McFarland and husband Kenneth "Pete", Grantsville; two brothers, Robert Wotring, Warren, Mich., and Allen Wotring, Reisterstown; two sisters, Sandra Ferguson, Standardsville, Va., and Karen Upole, Oakland; and one granddaughter, Misty McFarland.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Oakland, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Oak Park Church of the Brethren on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mel Menker officiating.
Interment will be in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
The family suggests memorials take the form of contributions to the Oak Park Church of the Brethren.
ELMER W. HOLLER
CUMBERLAND - Elmer W. Holler, 79, of Blue Valley Road, Cumberland, died Monday, Nov. 10, 1997, at his home.
Born in Cumberland on Oct. 13, 1918, he was the son of the late Clide W. and Anne (Stouffer) Holler. He was preceded in death by one sister, Thelma Walker.
A graduate of Fort Hill High School Class of 1938; he served in the infantry division of the U.S. Army in the European Theatre. A former employee for the B&O; Railroad for nine years. Mr. Holler, for most of his adult life, was a bus driver for the City of Cumberland, until he retired in 1982. He was an active member of the Trinity United Methodist Church for over 50 years. He was a member of Potomac Lodge A.F. & A.M. Mr. Holler was also an avid gardener who shared his beautiful flowers and vegetables with family members, neighbors, and friends.
He was a thoughtful and caring man who always put the needs of others before himself. His family will always remember him as a devoted husband, special father and "really neat" grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife, Idella (Brehm) Holler, one son, E. Douglass Holler and wife, Linda, one daughter, Darlene Rowan, Connecticut; three grandchildren, Keith D. Holler and wife, Annette, Mount Savage, Kirk D. Holler and wife, Kelly, Cumberland, and Beth Rowan, Connecticut; two step-grandchildren, Brian M. Finn and wife, Connie, Nebraska, and Kellie Mullins, Kentucky; two great-grandchildren, Shay and Kasey Holler; four step-great-grandchildren, Scotty Smith, Beth Smith, Austin Mullins, and Alexis Stewart; two sisters, Laura Stevenson, Cumberland, and Anna Mae Brakeall and husband, Don, Wiley Ford; one brother, Blair Holler and wife, Margie, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Avenue, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The members of Potomac Lodge will conduct their memorial service on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James L. McMahan officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Millitary Honors will be accorded at the gravesite by the members of the combined color guard.
