ROBERT E. WILLISON
MOUNT JULIET, Tenn. - Robert Ernest Willison, 79, formerly of Lake Gordon Road, Cumberland, Md., now of Mount Juliet, died Sunday, June 21, 1998, in Nashville, Tenn.
He was born on March 3, 1919, in Cumberland, Md., the son of the late Raymond and Lora (Barnes) Willison. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Sheldon Willison; and a sister, Virginia Willison Hurlings.

Mr. Willison was a Fort Hill High School graduate. He resided in Miami, Fla., for 43 years, and had worked at the Celanese before relocating. He was a World War II Army Veteran and was a West Point Police Cadet. He also had been a service station operator. He was Methodist by faith.

Surviving are nieces and nephews, Pat (Paul) Warrenfeltz, James Miller and Sheryl Miller, all of Mount Juliet, and Rebecca Miller, Antioch, Tenn.; and great-nieces and nephew, Robert Miller and Samanthya Miller, both of Mount Juliet, and Allison Thompson, Antioch.

Friends will be received in the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, 1302 National Highway, LaVale, on Friday from 1:30 to 2 p.m., at which time family and friends will proceed to Union Grove cemetery, Cumberland, for graveside services. Minister Jimmie D. Flanagan will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.

EDNA E. WILSON
CUMBERLAND - Edna Elizabeth Wilson, 87, of 11501 Fairview Road, S.E., Cumberland, died Friday, July 3, 1998, at Devlin Manor Nursing Home.
Born April 4, 1911, in Comps Corner, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William Henry Emerick and the late Lydia Elizabeth (DeVore) Emerick.

Mrs. Wilson attended Mount Herman United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband, James Frederick Wilson, Cumberland; a daughter, Viola Stafford, Rahway, N.J.; a brother, Raymond Emerick, Hagerstown; a sister, Nellie Buckley, Potomac Park, Cumberland; two granddaughters, Charlene Edwards and Darlene Motto; and one great-grandson, Randy Hammond.

Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., with the Rev. Fred Iser officiating.

Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.

ELSIE WILSON
LONACONING - Elsie (Moore) Wilson, 85, of Falls Church, Va., died Friday, May 22, 1998, at Vencor Arlington Hospital, Arlington, Va.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin B. Wilson.

Surviving are four children, Marlene, and husband, Joseph Thompson, Dale, and wife, Veronica Wilson, Karen, and husband, Ronald Voron, and Gary, and wife, Florence Wilson; three sisters, Evelyn McKenzie Dawson, Shirley Morgan and Phyllis Dawson; and two grandchildren, Wendelyn S. Voron and Dianna L. Voron.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 29, 1998, at 3 p.m. at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. Private inurnment will be at Laurel Hill cemetery, Moscow Mills.

EMMA L. WILSON
LAVALE - Emma L. Wilson, 87, of the Cumberland Nursing Home, formerly of 25 Ren Roy Drive, LaVale, and 166 Center St., Frostburg, died Monday, Aug. 31, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Oct. 25, 1910, in Finzel, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Mary (McKenzie) Layton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David J. "Dan" Wilson, on Nov. 27, 1977. She was the last member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Cumberland.

Surviving are two daughters, Shirley A. McKenzie, Avilton, and Patricia L. Ivy, Lexington, Texas; nine sons, Earl D. Wilson, LaVale, William L. Wilson, New Bern, N.C., Gene J. Wilson, Vallejo, Calif., Glenn O. Wilson, Citrus Heights, Calif., Paul J. Wilson, Clarks Summit, Pa., James G. Wilson, Austin, Texas, Thomas J. Wilson, Cumberland, Kenneth R. Wilson, Avilton, and Larry A. Wilson, Raleigh, N.C.; 27 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Rev. William Moody will conduct a prayer service at the funeral home at 8:30 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Michael's Catholic Church, Frostburg, on Thursday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. William Moody as celebrant.

Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.

Pallbearers will be Robert Wilson, John Wilson, Matthew Wilson, Jeremy McKenzie, Brian Friend and Andrew Kerch.

GAVER WILSON
SWANTON - Gaver Wilson, 76, of 18711 Maryland Highway, Swanton, died Tuesday, May 26, 1998, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born July 5, 1921, at Chestnut Grove, he was the son of the late Augustis and Bura (Tichnell) Wilson.

Mr. Wilson was retired from the lubrication department of Westvaco with 43 years of service. He was a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Army Air Force. He was a member of the Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church, Queens Point VFW Post 6775, and the Folley Run Sportsmen's Club.

Surviving are his wife, Clara E. (Paugh) Wilson; five sons, Elwood C. Custer, Swanton, Allen W. Custer and wife Wendi, Swanton, Riley E. Wilson and wife Wanda, Essex, Dwight N. Wilson, Swanton, and P. Russell Wilson and wife Claudia, Swanton; three daughters, Myrna M. Mood, Gettysburg, Pa., Paula A. Tasker and husband Chris, Deer Park, and Karen Y. Riggleman and husband Fred, Rawlings; one brother, Riley M. Wilson, Swanton; 13 grandchildren, Jared Custer, Scott Custer, Carrie Custer, Allen M. Custer, Martin "Pokey" Mood, Chris Mood, Stacey Graham, Dennis VanPelt, Gaver "Gus" VanPelt, Cathy Wilson, Brian Wilson, Theodore "Tee" Nash and Joshua "Shortcut" Nash; and three great-grandchildren, Austin Graham, Taylor Wilson and Tyler Nash.

The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Thursday, May 28, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, May 29, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church on Saturday, May 30, at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Donald Nelson.

Interment will follow in the Paugh Family cemetery, Swanton, where full military honors will be accorded at graveside.

HAZEL V. WILSON
WESTERNPORT - Hazel Virginia Wilson, 89, of 23718 Stoney Run Road, Westernport, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born June 23, 1908, in Westernport, she was the daughter of the late Earl McKenzie and the late Jane (Martin) McKenzie. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Wilson, in 1942; and a daughter, Patricia Alexander.

Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker and formerly worked at the Celanese Corp., Kelly-Springfield Tire Co., and Westvaco Corp. She was a member of the Piedmont Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are four daughters, Josephine Michaels, Barton, Edna Mae Sellers, Westernport, Roberta Clark, Westernport, and Marlene Wilson, Oakland; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Tom Brackett officiating.

Interment will be in the Philos cemetery, Westernport.

JAMES J. WILSON
SWANTON - James J. Wilson, 67, of 4883 Savage River Road, Swanton, died Monday, Sept. 14, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born July 29, 1931, at Stoney Run, Westernport, he was the son of the late James Wilson Sr. and the late Anna (Duckworth) Wilson. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Wilson and Barbara Biscoff; and one brother, Roy Railer.

Mr. Wilson was an avid hunter, trapper and gardener. He was a former employee of Celanese Fibers and the Allegany Ballistics Laboratory.

He is survived by his wife, Carol (Braithwaite) Wilson; three sons, James A. Wilson and wife, Kim, Westernport, Steven Wilson and wife, Diona, Swanton, and Daniel Wilson, Savage River; five daughters, Rose Ann Wilson, Westernport, Debra Wilson, LaPlata, Susan Cavey and husband, Terry, Bloomington, Jennifer Wilson, Bloomington, and Linda Wilson, Westernport; a sister, Annabelle Saville, Cross, W.Va.; and 19 grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Stoney Run Baptist Church, Westernport, on Thursday, Sept. 17, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. George Loar officiating.

At Mr. Wilson's request he will then be cremated.

JOHN "TONY" WILSON
FROSTBURG - John "Tony" Wilson, 93, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1998, at the Frostburg Village Nursing Care Center.
Born March 17, 1905, in Bel Air, Ohio, he was preceded in death by his mother, father, sister and brother. He father was born into slavery.

Mr. Wilson had various jobs. Between jobs, he traveled the country and visited most states. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Frostburg.

He had been a resident at the County Home prior to admission to the Frostburg Village Nursing Care Center on April 13, 1979. He was one of the first residents to be admitted to Frostburg Village. Mr. Wilson enjoyed years of volunteering his time to help others in the facility. Several years ago, the staff held a retirement party in his honor to express their appreciation and to encourage him to enjoy his retirement. Although he was often reminded of his "retirement," he continued to help others. His pleasures in life were dancing, crafts and candy.

Mr. Wilson will be sadly missed by his faithful friend Joe Keating, residents, employees and visitors at Frostburg Village.

Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 8:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Frostburg, on Friday at 9 a.m. with the Rev. William Moody as celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Wilson will be included in a memorial service that will be held at the nursing care center chapel on Sunday, Nov. 1, 1998, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ellis Kretschmer officiating.
