CUMBERLAND - Helen Elizabeth "Polly" Lowe, 81, of Cumberland Arms, Cumberland, died Wednesday, May 20, 1998, at Memorial Hospital.
Friends will be received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, 1302 National Highway, LaVale, on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m.
Memorial services will be conducted at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Cumberland, on Monday, May 25, 1998, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John J. Duffus officiating.
Private family interment will be held on Tuesday.
Memorial contributions are appreciated in memory of Mrs. Lowe to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Washington and Smallwood streets, Cumberland MD 21502.
DOROTHY I. LOWERY
ELLERSLIE - Dorothy Irene Lowery, 81, of Ellerslie, died Friday, Jan. 9, 1998, at the Frostburg Village Nursing Home.
Born July 12, 1916, at Glencoe, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Henry L. and Sarah Ann (Witt) Hosselrode.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Roy A. "Bill" Lowery, on Oct. 5, 1990; two sisters, Edna Martz and Elsie Troutman; and two brothers, Lester "Chuck" Hosselrode and Francis "John" Hosselrode.
Surviving are three sons, Vernon A. Lowery and wife Sandy, Ellerslie, Jack W. Lowery, Ellerslie, and Donald "Rich" Lowery and wife Dot, Mount Savage; five grandchildren, Tawny Delaney, Frostburg, Terri Lowery, Cumberland, Kelly Layes, Arkansas, Kevin Lowery, Potomac Park, and Todd Lowery, Mount Savage; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Irvin Hosselrode, Hyndman, Pa.; and two sisters, Lottie Clites and Eva Sager, both of Hyndman.
Mrs. Lowery was a homemaker and a member of the Ellerslie United Methodist Church and the Ellerslie Athletics Association.
She was a former president and past member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ellerslie Volunteer Fire Company.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, on Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Rebecca J. Vardiman officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park.

EUGENE V. LUCAS
FROSTBURG - Eugene V. "Debs" Lucas, 83, formerly of the Frostburg Heights Apartments, died Monday, Aug. 10, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital. He had been a resident of the Frostburg Village Nursing Home.
Born July 4, 1915, in Frostburg, he was a son of the late William James and Anna (Winner) Lucas.
Mr. Lucas was a bartender at various clubs.
He was a member of Frostburg United Methodist Church and American Legion Farrady Post 24.
He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Western Pacific during World War II.
Surviving are one brother, George L. Lucas, Frostburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 W. Main St., Frostburg, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Lawrence A. Neumark officiating.
Interment will be in the Maryland State Veterans cemetery at Rocky Gap.
Graveside military rites will be accorded by American Legion Farrady Post 24.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
JOHN E. LUTTRELL
CUMBERLAND - John E. "Jack" Luttrell, 72, of Cumberland, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born April 21, 1925, in Ridgeley, W.Va., he was the son of the late Talmage and Minnie (Whittle) Luttrell.
He also was preceded in death by his stepmother, Hazel G. Luttrell.
Mr. Luttrell retired from the C&P; Telephone Co. after 43 years of service.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a charter member of Bedford Road Baptist Church, where he served as church treasurer for many years. He was an assistant scout master for SS. Peter and Paul Church Troop 6; a member of Telephone Pioneers; and a volunteer for Sacred Heart Hospital's Meals on Wheels program.
Surviving are his wife, Marlene (Travis) Luttrell; four sons, John E. Luttrell Jr. and wife Jody, Fallston, Michael L. Luttrell and wife Eileen, Smithsburg, Stephen T. Luttrell and wife Debbie, Pensacola, Fla., and Gregory N. Luttrell and wife Amy, Virginia Beach, Va.; one daughter, Mary Ann Pendergast and husband Mike, Abingdon; one brother, Paul T. Luttrell and wife Kay, Aurora, Colo.; two sisters, Nell Simpson, Cumberland, and Joan L. Goodwin and husband Jerry, LaVale; and eight grandchildren, Eric, Jenny, Justin, Meghan, Andrew, Kimberly, Jack and Matthew.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Bedford Road Baptist Church on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Dr. Joseph Craig and the Rev. Merdith C. Shryock officiating.
Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
The family requests that contributions be made to the Bedford Road Baptist Church.

BRADENTON, Fla. - Page Dabney Lynn, 86, of Bradenton, died Friday, May 29, 1998, at the Blake Medical Center.
Born Aug. 11, 1911, in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of the late John Galloway Lynn III and Ruth (Gibbons) Lynn.
He also was preceded in death by an older sister and two older brothers.
Mr. Lynn was the grandson of Capt. David Lynn, a respected leader of the Revolutionary War; and the great-grandson of Judge David Lynn, one of the commissioners who laid out Georgetown in 1751.
Before retiring in 1954, Mr. Lynn was employed by the federal government in the U.S. Capitol Building, Washington, D.C.
A graveside service will be held at Rose Hill cemetery on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Edward C. Chapman officiating.
Mr. Lynn will be laid to rest alongside his parents, grandparents and other Lynn family descendants.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Meals on Wheels Program, Bradenton, FL 32407.
CLARENCE A. LYONS SR.
KITZMILLER - Clarence Albert Lyons Sr., 66, of Kitzmiller, died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 1998, at his residence.
Born Jan. 4, 1932, in Shallmar, he was a son of the late Howard E. and Anna May (Boyce) Lyons.
Mr. Lyons was retired from the Garrett County Roads Department.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Catherine (Broadwater) Lyons; two sons, Clarence A. Lyons Jr., Woodbridge, Va., and Jim Lyons, Cumberland; one daughter, Kathy Armstrong, Kitzmiller; two brothers, William Lyons, Kitzmiller, and Howard Lyons, Morgantown, W.Va.; two sisters, Norma Paugh, Mount Storm, W.Va., and Alverta Brooks, Kitzmiller; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, Kitzmiller, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. George Tichinel officiating.
At Mr. Lyons request, his body will be cremated.
