ROBERTA M. BARNARD
HAGERSTOWN - Roberta M. Barnard, 77, of Hagerstown, died Sunday, May 31, 1998, at the Avalon Manor Nursing Home, Hagerstown.
Born Jan. 11, 1921, in Garrett County, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Fox) Richter. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Barnard, in 1975; eight brothers, Harold, Carl, James, Walter, Arthur, Clarence, Vernon and Glen Richter; and six infant brothers and sisters.
Surviving are two sons, Randall and Robert Barnard, both of Frederick; two brothers, Albert Richter, Deer Park, and Edward Richter, Uniontown, Pa.; a sister, Iva Daulbach, Seville, Ohio; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Douglas Kabell officiating.
Interment will be in the St. John's Lutheran cemetery (M.S.), Cove.
DANIEL BARNES
COLUMBIA, S.C. - Daniel Barnes, 61, died Monday, Aug. 3, 1998, at his residence.
Born July 4, 1937, in Flintstone, Md., he was the son of the late Lloyd and Thelma Barnes of Flintstone. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Waltraud E. "Ann" Barnes; and one sister, Helen Northcraft.
Mr. Barnes graduated from Flintstone High School in 1955. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1976.
He is survived by his second wife, Lucille; and three children, Kathy, Christina, and William, all of South Carolina; five grandchildren; one sister, Martha Fletcher, Somerset, Pa.; and one brother, Joseph Barnes, Flintstone.
Services were conducted in South Carolina.
EDGAR L. BARNES
CUMBERLAND - Edgar Leroy Barnes, 56, of 12914 N. Cresap St., SW, Bowling Green, Cumberland, died Sunday, Dec. 13, 1998, at his home.
Born Dec. 3, 1942, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Elroy H. Barnes and the late Amelia E. (Brinkman) Barnes. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Barnes.
Mr. Barnes was a retired engineer with MCI Corp. He attended Central Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are two brothers, Ronald H. Barnes and wife Judy, Raleigh, N.C., and David Barnes and wife Jane, Cumberland; one sister, Rose Marie McAndrew and husband Merlin, Ajax, Ontario, Canada; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
Burial will be private.
DOLORES R. BARNETT
CUMBERLAND - Dolores R. Barnett, 69, of Allegany County Nursing Home, formerly of Patterson Avenue, Cumberland, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 1998, at Memorial Hospital. Born Feb. 22, 1929, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Twigg) Nee. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Betty Jane Barncord.
Mrs. Barnett was a former employee of McIntyre Seven Day Market and Catering, and was retired from Brunswick Liquor Store, Cumberland. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
Surviving are her former husband, Scott F. Barnett; one son, John S. Barnett, Cumberland; two grandchildren, Amanda R. Barnett and Brandon L. Barnett; and one brother-in-law, Charles "Pete" Barncord, Ridgeley, W.Va.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave, on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at noon with Fr. Vance Pastorious, O.F.M., Cap. officiating. Interment will be in SS. Peter & Paul cemetery.
M. JANE BARRY
ECKHART - M. Jane Barry, 76, of Eckhart, died Monday, Feb. 23, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born June 28, 1921, in Ellerslie, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Minnie (Fuller) Wilgar. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Barry, on Feb. 27, 1981.
Mrs. Barry was a piano teacher. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and the Sodality, and was church organist.
Surviving are two sons, Charles Barry and wife Nancy, Lexington, S.C., and Frank Barry and wife Noreen, Frostburg; two daughters, Mary Jane Smith and husband Pete, San Diego, and Genna Woodward, Lancaster, Pa.; 10 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Shawn and Phillip Barry, J.B. Woodward, Anthony and Angela Barry, Anthony and Angela Militano, and Brandy and Jennifer Schnoor; and one brother, Francis Wilgar, Petal, Miss.
Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 W. Main St., Frostburg, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Thursday at 10 a.m. with Father Paul A. Byrnes as celebrant.
Interment will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
JOHN W. CLISE
WESTERNPORT - John Wayne Clise, 36, of 25801 Shady Lane, Westernport, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 1998, at Frostburg.
Born on Oct. 2, 1962, at Frostburg, he was the son of Josephine S. (Ziler) Miller, Westernport, and the late John Paul Clise.
Mr. Clise was a receiving clerk at Hunter Douglas. A 1980 graduate of Fort Hill High School and the Allegany County Career Center, he was a member of the Graceland Baptist Church, Short Gap. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Pamela K. (Branson) Clise; a daughter, Katie Elizabeth Clise, Short Gap; one sister, Tammy S. Leslie, Barton; three brothers, Craig F. Ziler and wife, Shirley, Frostburg, Peter L. Ziler and wife, Chrissy, Cumberland, Robert L. Crossland and wife, Patricia, Pittsville; his paternal grandmother, May (Dyer) Clise, Frostburg; his father-in-law, Christian Branson; mother-in-law, Maxine Branson; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Clise's body will be cremated, and his cremains will be interred at Sunset Memorial Park.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 9, at 11 a.m. at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, by the Rev. Mark Baugh.

CHARLES N. EHRLICH
ACCIDENT - Charles Norman Ehrlich, 73, of 31379 Garrett Hwy., Accident, died Thursday, March 26, 1998, at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home, Oakland.
Born July 25, 1924, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Herman J. and Grace A. (Hunter) Ehrlich.
Mr. Ehrich was a retired security guard with NASA in Greenbelt. He also was a Baptist minister and a member of the Deep Creek Baptist Church. He was a graduate of the Missionary Training Institute, now Nyack College, Nyack, N.Y.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are his wife, Constance Maxine (Fowler) Ehrlich; three sons, John Ehrlich, Naples, Fla., Paul Ehrlich, Evans, Ga., and Mark Ehrlich, Accident; one daughter, Janet Cameron, Lancaster, S.C.; a brother, Bernard Ehrlich, Bel Air; a sister, Kathleen Packard, Texas City, Texas; six grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, McHenry, Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Monday at 11 a.m. at Deep Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Wilson officiating.
Interment will be in the Thayerville cemetery.
