ROBERT E. BRYANT
CUMBERLAND - Robert Ellis Bryant, 69, of 332 Baltimore Ave., Cumberland, and the Allegany County Nursing Home, died Sunday, June 28, 1998, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 22, 1928, in Independence, Va., he was the son of the late Walter Scott Bryant and the late Blanche Winifred (Shrives) Bryant.
Mr. Bryant was employed as a trucker and a construction worker. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force in Korea.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Catherine (Buckingham) Bryant, Cumberland; four sons, James Bryant, Baltimore, Kevin Bryant, Joseph Allen Bryant and James William Bryant, all at home; two daughters, Kathryn Spipes, Cumberland, and Sharon Bryant, Baltimore; two brothers, Gary Bryant and Harold Bryant, both of Cumberland; one sister, Lois Shore, Las Vegas, Nev.; and three grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A.
Interment will be in Maryland Veterans cemetery at Rocky Gap.
Military honors will be accorded at graveside by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
EMMETT CALLIN
FROSTBURG - Emmett Callin, 84, of Frostburg, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 1998, at his home.
Born June 7, 1914, in Frostburg, he was the son of the late Richard T. and Nellie (Arnold) Callin. He was also predeceased by one brother; and three sisters.
Mr. Callin was employed by Ort Brothers Bakery, Cumberland.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Rachel (Truly) Callin; one son, David Callin, Nokesville, Va.; one daughter, Carole Williams and husband, Wayne, Sterling, Va.; two granddaughters, Wendy Williams and Becky Centmayer; and two sisters, June Lorentz and Millicent Brode, both of Vineland, N.J.
Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 W. Main St., Frostburg, on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Everett J. Spence officiating.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
GEORGE "MITCH" DENNISON
NOKOMIS, Fla. - George E. "Mitch" Dennison, age 64, of Nokomis, formerly of Cumberland, Md., died Saturday at his residence.
He was born April 21, 1934, in Cumberland.
Mr. Dennison was a retired businessman.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; daughter, Terri Lynn Russell, Virginia Beach, Va., step-daughter, Julie Antonelli, Orlando; two sons, Larry Dennison, London, England, and Patrick Dennison, San Diego, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Ewing Funeral Home, 140 E. Venice Ave., Venice, on Monday, July 20, 1998, at 7 p.m.

RUTH A. BRYANT
CUMBERLAND - Ruth Ann Bryant, 52, of Cumberland, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Aug. 8, 1946, in Ridgeley, W.Va., she was the daughter of Lalla R. George, Cumberland, and the late George Hansford.
Mrs. Bryant was a homemaker.
In addition to her mother, surviving are her husband, Raymond L. Bryant Sr.; four sons, Raymond L. Bryant Jr., Tracy A. Bryant and wife, Christiana, Earl A. Bryant, and Preston Bryant and Deanna, all of Cumberland; three grandchildren, Chad, Preston and Michael; 11 sisters; and six brothers.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Friday from noon to 2 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Gregory Georg officiating.
Interment will be in the Maryland State Veterans cemetery at Rocky Gap.
GERALDINE DENSMORE
WESTERNPORT - Geraldine Densmore, 66, of 304 Hammond St., Westernport, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 1998, at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, W.Va.
Born Jan. 24, 1932, at Luke, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Christine Shillingburg.
Mrs. Densmore was a former LPN, having worked at Morgantown Hospital. She attended Westernport United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Gerald Densmore; four children, Betty DeWitt, Morgantown, W.Va., Larry Shillingburg, Bruceton Mills, W.Va., Amanda Thompson, Romney, W.Va., and Daniel Weasonforth, Clarksburg, W.Va.; one sister, Bernice Smith, Morgantown; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Friday, Sept. 4, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted there on Saturday, Sept. 5, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Sumner Sawyer officiating.
Interment will be in the Philos cemetery, Westernport.
BESS BUCHANAN
CONWAY, S.C. - Bess Buchanan, 82, of Myrtle Trace Drive, died Monday, Feb. 9, 1998, at Kingston Nursing Center.
She was born Sept. 5, 1915, in Brusly, La., a daughter of the late Alvin G. and Mary Guidry Bujol.
Mrs. Buchanan moved to the Conway area in 1978 from Western Maryland. She was a graduate of Louisiana State University, and was very active in civic affairs. She was Catholic by faith.
Surviving is her husband, Lloyd Buchanan of Conway.
No local services are planned.

WILLIAM K. BUCHANAN
HALFWAY - William K. Buchanan, 88, of Halfway, died Friday, March 20, 1998, at his home.
Born May 14, 1909, in Williamsport, he was the son of the late John and Eva Gertrude (Ditlow) Buchanan.
Among those surviving are his wife, Catherine Louise (Tracy) Buchanan, Hagerstown; a daughter, Rebecca Lee Melody, Hagerstown; and a son, William Norris Buchanan, Cumberland.
The Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport, was in charge of arrangements.

OSCAR P. LAMBERT
WESTERNPORT - Oscar P. Lambert, 78, of 106 Green St., Westernport, died Monday, May 5, 1997, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Jan. 20, 1918, in Franklin, W.Va., he was the son of the late Lloyd Lambert and the late Matilda C. (Halterman) Lambert.
Mr. Lambert retired from the Celanese Fibers Corp. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Westernport Church of the Brethren and Victory Post 155 American Legion, Westernport.
Surviving are two sisters, Nellie Lambert, Westernport, and Norma Fazenbaker, LaVale; and one brother, Arlie L. Bible, Petersburg, W.Va.
Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be at the funeral home Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. William Shimer officiating.
Interment will be in Philos cemetery, Westernport.
Pallbearers will be Marvin Bible, Bobby Bible, Roger Bible, Ronnie Bible, Eugene Bible, and Gregory Bible.
