CARL E. DOLLY
CUMBERLAND - Carl Edwin Dolly, 72, of 1520 Oldtowne Manor, Cumberland, died Thursday, Jan. 15, 1998, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 10, 1925, in Flintstone, he was the son of the late Delmer S. Dolly and the late Belle S. (Imes) Dolly.
Mr. Dolly was a retired truck driver for Chaney's Transfer and Z&M; Motor Lines. He was a member of Glendale Church of the Brethren, Flintstone. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy (McElfish) Dolly, Cumberland; three sons, Harry Dolly and wife June, Centerville, Pa., Richard Dolly and wife Alice, Flintstone, and Carl Dolly Jr. and wife Pam, Ridgeley, W.Va.; two daughters, Carol Ann Miller and husband David, Munk's Corner, S.C., and Linda Whorton and husband Richard, Flintstone; a stepson, Thomas Whitaker and wife Linda, Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; three stepdaughters, Sharon Crabtree, Baltimore, Donna Crim and husband Kenneth, Martinsburg, W.Va., and Sue Anne Brady and husband Francis, Berkeley Springs; three brothers, Roy Dolly, Cumberland, Harry Dolly and wife Virginia, Cumberland, and Melvin Dolly and wife Wanda, Cumberland; three sisters, Betty Lou Crowe, Holy Ridge, N.C., Geraldine Keen and husband Hassel, Raven, Va., and Violet Cornwell, Cumberland; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Allen Baker officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.
WILBER R. ALBRIGHT
CUMBERLAND - Wilber Ray Albright, 78, of Lions Manor Nursing Home, formerly of Baltimore Avenue and the Kensington Algonquin Apartments, died Friday, Nov. 20, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born June 17, 1920, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Porter and Virgie (Hewitt) Albright. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Frederick H. Albright.
Mr. Albright was retired from the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company, Cumberland. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and was a member of the Cumberland American Legion.
Surviving are one sister, Clara Comparetto, Tracys Landing; four nieces, Ellen Albright, Cumberland, Nancy Watson, Prince Frederick, Carol Stallings, Tracys Landing, and Alice Rosley, Eckhart; one nephew, Frederick W. Albright, Eckhart; and one sister-in-law, Rella Albright, Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen Durr officiating.
Interment will be in the Maryland State Veterans cemetery at Rocky Gap. Graveside military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
VINCENT "PAP" COOPER
CRESAPTOWN - Vincent Paul "Pap" Cooper, 82, of Cresaptown, died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 1998, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born July 14, 1916, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Forest Olin Cooper and the late Ella Catherine (Greise) Cooper. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Harriett Pauline (Adams) Cooper, on Aug. 8, 1972, and his second wife, Maxine (Sutherland) Cooper, on May 9, 1983.
Mr. Cooper was retired from the Celanese Fibers Corporation of America and the Allegany County Public School System where he was a school bus driver. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II.
Surviving are two sons, Vincent Paul Cooper Jr., and wife, Arlene, Fostoria, Ohio, and Vernon W. Cooper, and wife, Teresa, Millersville; a daughter, Deborah K. Irons, and husband, Michael, with whom he resided, Thurmont; a sister, Sheila Glass, and husband, Walter "Pete," LaVale; seven grandchildren, Richelle McLaughlin, St. Mary's, Ohio, Kenneth Paul Cooper, Fostoria, Ohio, Heather Nicole Cooper, Millersville, Bryan Vernon Cooper, Millersville, Barrett Michael Irons, Thurmont, Matthew Adam Irons, Thurmont, and Justinn Paul Irons, Thurmont; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Monday at 10 a.m. at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., with the Rev. Donald W. Llewellyn officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

ELIZABETH BREIGHNER
CUMBERLAND - Elizabeth Cecilia Breighner, 86, of Devlin Manor Nursing Home and Allegany County Nursing Home, formerly of Kensington-Algonquin, died Monday, April 13, 1998, at the Allegany County Nursing Home.
Born Aug. 26, 1911, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Marquard W. and Anna Mary (Miltenberger) Wolfe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bernard Breighner; three brothers, Joseph Wolfe, Marcellus Wolfe and Lawrence Wolfe; and four sisters, Clara Breighner, Margaret Hudson, Rosalia Welsh and Dorothy Sandy.
Mrs. Breighner was retired from the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company. She was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church; St. Anthony's Catholic Church and the Ladies Guild at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She was a member of the Secular Order of St. Francis and a member of the Ursuline Sisters Association.
Surviving are one brother, Richard W. Wolfe and wife, Lila, Norfolk, Va.; two sisters, Mary Frances Hill, Wiley Ford, W.Va., Virginia W. Boggs, Cumberland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake will be conducted Wednesday at 8:45 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church on Thursday at 10 a.m.
Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Cumberland.
Pallbearers will be nephews.

PATSY ALGIERI
CUMBERLAND - Patsy Algieri, 79, of Cumberland, died suddenly at his home on Saturday, Jan. 10, 1998.
Born March 30, 1918, at Huntington Station, New York, he was the son of the late Gennaro Algieri and Margaret (Cozzetto) Algieri. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Margaret (Lindner) Algieri, on Aug. 30, 1996.
Major Algieri retired from the United States Marine Corps with more than 25 years of service. He served in the United States Army during World War II, and was awarded the Silver Star and a Purple Heart. He later joined the U.S. Marine Corps, having served in Korea where he again was awarded a Purple Heart.
He was a member of Fort Cumberland Post 13, American Legion; Henry Hart Post 1411 VFW; and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 245. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Cumberland, and was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.
Surviving are his son, Charles W. "Bill" Algieri and wife Barbara, Carpendale, W.Va.; a sister, Carmella Gremmell, Long Island, N.Y.; three granddaughters, Lisa, Cathy and Keli Algieri; three step-grandchildren, Wayne Magruder Jr., Joan Magruder and Debbie Cornelius; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas R. Bevan officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.
Pallbearers will be Bill Humbertson, Bill Stafford, Wayne Magruder, Sam Brotemarkle, Roger Lantz and Jim Bittner.

KENNETH R. DOLLY SR.
FLINTSTONE - Kenneth Richard Dolly Sr., 70, of P.O. Box 4, Flintstone, died Tuesday, May 12, 1998, at his home.
Born March 18, 1928, in Flintstone, he was the son of the late Dayton Dexter Dolly and the late Verda Marie (Alt) Dolly. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Merle J. Dolly; and a sister, Laverne Duckworth.
Mr. Dolly was the retired owner and operator of Dolly Trucking. He was a member of Flintstone United Methodist Church, where he served as a board member and a trustee. He was a lifetime member and past president of the Flintstone Volunteer Fire Department. He also was a member of the Ali Ghan Shrine Club, Scottish Rite, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, East Gate Lodge #216, Middltown Lodge #732, Middletown, Ky., Teamsters Local #453, Fort Cumberland Post 13 American Legion, and the Henry Hart Post #1411 VFW. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann (Cook) Dolly, Flintstone; a son, Kenneth Richard Dolly Jr., and wife, Robin, Marietta, Ga.; two daughters, Debra Ann Null, and husband, Steve, Hanover, Pa., and Teresa Karen Logan, and husband, Bill, Daytona Beach, Fla.; a brother, Donald L. Dolly, and wife, Helen, Flintstone; a sister, June Ruby, Flintstone; five grandchildren, Tracy Jo Rice, Tonya Marie Sutherland, Kara Lynn Chastain, Kenneth R. Dolly III, and Kristopher Lynn Dolly; and one great-granddaughter, Samantha Jo Mummert.

Services will be conducted on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., with the Rev. Fred Iser officiating.
Interment will be in Glendale cemetery, Flintstone.
Pallbearers will be Russell Dolly, Donald Dolly Jr., Dayton Dolly, Allen Ruby Sr., Steve Ruby and Allen Ruby Jr.
