Wilbur A. Watts 100 of Baltimore, MD, died Tuesday February 24, 2009 at Lorien Assissted Living, Mt. Airy, MD. He was the spouse of the late Naomi Grace Rambo Watts. He was born December 12, 1908 in Baltimore City. The son of the late Oliver and Willimina Watts. Mr. Watts was a Power House operator for the Baltimore Transit Authority. An Avid Ping Pong Player and Tennis Player. He is survived by Daughter and Son-in-law Nancy Marie and Richard Charles Ely of Eldersburg, 3 Grandchildren Earl A. Ely, John Ely and Elvamarie Miller 12 Great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by Grandson Richard Bruce Ely. Funeral Services will be held Monday March 2, 2009 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with Pastor Gary Glanville officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park Sykesville, MD. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 5 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A. Those desiring may make contributions to Carroll Hospice 292 Stoner Ave. Westminster, MD 21157.

Lee, Nelda E.
Nelda Edith Lee 82 of Mt. Airy, MD, died Tuesday March 3, 2009 at North Hampton Manor in Frederick. She was the spouse of the late William Howard Lee, Jr. She was born May 20, 1926 in Mt. Airy, MD the son of the late Basil Dorsey and Mandel Costley Dorsey. She was a Cook at Wagner’s Corner in Taylorsville and a domestic worker for the Grimes family and a Homemaker. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church and a member of The Eastern Star. Surviving her are Daughter and Son-in-law Patricia and James Dorsey of Westminster, Son and Daughter-in-law David and Donna Lee of Westminster, Son and Daughter-in-law James and Katie Lee of Hagerstown, Son and Daughter-in-law William and Jane Lee of South Carolina, Daughter Carolyn Lee of Baltimore. Brothers Charles and Carl Dorsey of Frederick and Herman Dorsey of Westminster Sisters: Mildred Lyles of Mt. Airy and Anna Mae Richardson of Columbia 18 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren. Preceded in Death by Sister Florine Cook, Brothers Basil, Sterling and Arthur Dorsey. Funeral Services will be held Monday March 9, 2009 12 Noon at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with the Rev. Don LevRoney of Fairview UMC with Interment in Fairview cemetery, The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10 to 12 PM. Kamalavathy Harris (nee Arthur), age 85, of Catonsville died Sunday March 1, 2009 at Manor Care-Woodbridge Valley in Catonsville, MD. She was born January 31, 1924 in India the daughter of the late James E. G.Arthur and the late Nilorpalam Gnanasironmani Arthur. She was the wife of the late Samuel Vincent Harris. She was a Social Worker at Spring Grove Hospital. She was a member of Arlington Baptist Church. She was the mother of Prem Harris and wife Dr. Vigila Harris of Upper Marlboro, MD and Mallika Harris of Catonsville, MD. She was the grandmother of Bino, Vineet, Sunit Harris. Friends may call at the Arlington Baptist Church on Saturday March 7, 2009 from 9:00-11:30 AM at which time funeral will begin with Ray Ritter officiating. Memorial Contributions can be made to Arlington Baptist Church 3030 N. Rolling Road Baltimore, MD 21244.

Warfield, Sr., Ashley L.
Ashley Lee Warfield, Sr. 49 of Mt. Airy, MD, died suddenly in his sleep at home on Thursday March 5, 2009. He was the spouse of Marie Anne (Kline) Warfield. He was born January 27, 1960 the son of Thomas O Warfield, IV and Margaret I (Condon) Warfield. Mr. Warfield was employed with Van Sant Plumbing and Heating for over 20 years. He enjoyed Golfing with his brother and friends, Throwing Darts, and Socializing with friends and family. Was an Assistant Coach of his daughters MAYA basketball team. Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are Daughter Brittany A. Warfield of Mt. Airy, Son Ashley Lee Warfield, Jr. of MD, Daughter Aleshia Warfield of MD, Mother-in-law and Father in-law Nickey and Thomas O’Brien of Swanton, MD, Brothers and Sisters-in-law Thomas and Elizabeth Warfield, V, (the Fifth), David C. Warfield, Michael and Jackie Warfield. Sister and Brother-in-law Sharon and Roger Stratton. Sisters-in-law and Brother-in-laws Richard and Alisa Kline, Robert and Heather O’Brien, Steve and Heather O’Brien, Jason and Holly O’Brien. Also survived by numerous grandchildren and nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be Monday March 9, 2009 3:00 PM at Burrier-Queen funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784. Interment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens Frederick, MD. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Will, Marie
Marie Baker Will, formerly of Winfield, MD, died on March 8, 2009 at Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taneytown, MD on her 96th Birthday. Born March 8, 1913 in Winfield, MD she was the daughter of the late Howard and Elsie Stuller Baker. She was the wife of the late David Nelson Will who died in 1990. She lived her entire life in Winfield area until 2004 when she became a resident at Lorien. She had resided at Senior Constant Care in Winfield from 1999-2004. She worked in the Winfield Elementary School cafeteria for 26 years before retiring in 1976. She was a lifelong and active member of St. James United Methodist Church @ Dennings where she taught Sunday school, worked with Bible School, and was a member of UMW (United Methodist Women) as well as holding many offices and chairmanships. She had previously been in Homemakers, the PTA and the Winfield, OWLS. She was a charter member o the Winfield Fire Department Auxiliary, where she devoted much time volunteering until poor health would not permit it. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Deanna and V. David Grayson of Taneytown, a sister Katherine Gosnell of Troy, NY Two Grandchildren and their spouses Dr. Kevin and Angie Grayson, La Grande, OR and Amy and Todd Airing of Winfield, MD, Two Great-grandchildren Emily Airing and Wesley Grayson, two nieces, numerous cousins and close friends Caroline and Donald Vincent and family of Huntsville, AL. In addition to her husband she is predeceased by infant granddaughter Julie Marie Grayson. Funeral Services will be Saturday March 14, 2009 11 AM at St. James United Methodist Church 300 Marston Rd, New Windsor MD, 21776. Interment will be in St. James cemetery, Dennings MD. The family will receive friends on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM with the Winfield Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary having a Memorial Service at 7:30 PM. Sraver, Jennifer L.
Jennifer Lynn Mayne Sraver, age 27, of Mt. Airy, died Monday March 9, 2009, at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster. She was born October 24, 1981 in Baltimore, MD the daughter of Debbie Ann Mayne of Taylorsville and John Edward Mayne of Poplar Springs, MD. She was the wife of Christopher Maarten Sraver. Children: Taylor Lynne, Brooke Leigh and Noah Ryan Sraver all of Mt. Airy. She is survived by a sister Jessica Anne Mayne of Poplar Springs. Father in law Frank Warren Sraver and mother in law Maria Sraver of Mt. Airy. Brother in law and sister in law Nick and Sarah Sraver of North Carolina; and brother in law Stefan Sraver of Mt. Airy. Also survived by one niece and 5 nephews. She was a cook at Harvest Inn in Eldersburg. She loved music and enjoyed playing bingo and guitar hero. Funeral Service will be held Friday March 13, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Winfield Bible Church, 5407 Woodbine Road with Pastor Kim Gee officiating. Interment Pleasant Ridge cemetery, Winfield, MD. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield on Thursday from 6-8 PM. Unger, Sr., Paul R.
Paul R. Unger, Sr., 89 of Sykesville, MD, died Wednesday March 4, 2009 at Brinton Woods Nursing Home. He the spouse of Patricia A. Comer Unger . His wife of 36 years. Mr. Unger was born January 10, 1920 in Midlothian, MD the son of the late Brady P and Effie M. Hassinger Unger. Mr. Unger was retired from Springfield State Hospital Center. He was a member and Past Master of Freedom Lodge #112 A. F. & A. M. of Sykesville, MD, The Scottish Rite Lodge of Perfection, Cumberland, MD, The Boumi Temple, Baltimore, MD and American Legion Gold Star Post 191 Mount Airy, MD. Surviving in addition to his wife are Sons Paul R. Unger, Jr. Of Sykesville, and Richard B. Unger Hedgesville, WV and daughter Karen M. Unger of Baltimore. 5 Grandchildren and 13 Great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter Donna J. Pickett. At Mr. Unger’s request he has been cremated and there will be no Visitations or Service. Watts, Leona G.
Leona Gertrude (nee Sickel) Watts, 97 Of Charlestown Retirement Community, died Wednesday, March 11, 2009. She was the beloved wife of the late Russell S. Watts. She was born October 24, 1911 in Baltimore, MD. The daughter of the late Edwin Trust Sickel and Etta May Knauff Sickel. She was employed as a Medical Secretary from 1931 to 1977. She has been residing at Charlestown Retirement Community since 1986 . She loved to Read. The family will receive friends on Sunday March 15, 2009 from 2-4 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, PA. 1212 W Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784. Funeral services will take place Monday, March 16, 2009 at 11 AM at Woodlawn cemetery, Woodlawn, MD with John Ely officiating.

Ruth Viola Bozzell (nee Parker), age 69, of Manchester, died Monday March 16, 2009, at Carroll Hospice-Dove House in Westminster, MD. She was born December 6, 1939 in Frederick, MD the daughter of the late William David Parker and the late Helen Irene Smith Parker-Condon. She was a Nursing assistant for Brinton Woods Nursing Home in Sykesville. Mother of Debra Lynn Burkett of Manchester, Rebecca Lynn Wright of Brookneal, VA and Fred A. Bozzell, Jr. of Mt. Airy. Sister of Ernest David Parker of Kissimmee, FL, Laura Louise Joyner of Pennington Gap, VA, William David Parker, Jr. of Finksburg, MD and the late Donald Eugene Parker. Also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and special friends. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA on Wednesday from 7-9 PM. Miller, Robert E.
Robert Eugene Miller, 78, of Reisterstown, MD, died Tuesday March 17, 2009 at Northwest Hospital Center, Randallstown, MD. He was the former spouse and Best Friend of Anita Blackburne Biondo Miller. He was born September 15, 1930 in Pikesville, MD the son of the late Edward L. Miller and late Virgie Naylor Miller. Mr. Miller was a Bartender for 22 years at Spalding’s in Pikesville and 24 years at Captain Harvey’s in Reisterstown. He was a veteran of the US Army. Surviving are Sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Myron Krieger of Owings Mills, MD, Brother: Edward L. Miller of Virginia and Life Long Friend Norman Schilling of Pikesville. Funeral Service will be on Monday March 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School) with Fr. She was born July 1, 1931 in North Carolina the daughter of the late Thomas H. Bartlett and the late Leona Callahan Bartlett. She was a retired resident manager for Stanciu Management for Chantilly Pines Apts. From 1979-1995. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed Word search puzzles, gospel music and eating out. She was the mother of Penny L. (Roger) Falls of Hagerstown, MD, Diann (Sal) Impellizzeri of Hagerstown, MD and Bobbi L. (Tommy) Bierman of New Windsor, MD. She was the baby of 13 children. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Edna “Mom Mom” Miller Hauf of Sykesville formerly of Catonsville, died Friday March 20, 2009 with her family by her side. She was the spouse of the late John Scott Hauf, Sr. Mrs. Hauf was born October 23, 1913 in Baltimore, MD. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with grandchildren, friends and the staff at Transitions Health Care. She also liked to cook and spend time in Ocean City. Surviving are Grandchildren Scott, David and Kurt Hauf, Mary Lee Diggs, Tracey Graham and Bruce Harris. Great-grandchildren Scotty, Matthew and Jackson Hauf, Shannon, Richie and Keith Diggs, Doug and Kristin Graham. Mrs. Hauf was preceded in death by Children John S. Hauf, Jr. and Mary Jane Harris and grandson Paul Harris, Jr. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday March 24, 2009 10 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 where the family will have viewing one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Baltimore National cemetery. She was a member of Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Ellicott City, MD. She was the wife of Edward F. Brady, Sr. She was the mother of Edward F. Brady, Jr. of Gamber, Steven P. Brady of Chambersburg, PA and Richard A. Brady of Dover, PA. She was the sister of George A. Buckheit, Jr. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
