Jayme A. Guido, 40

MENDON -- Jayme A. (Casgrain) Guido, 40, of 58 Mowry St., a major in the Army National Guard, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, in Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston.
She leaves her husband of 19 years, David Guido; a daughter, Eliza Guido of Mendon; her mother and stepfather, Elizabeth (DeBruyn) and George Sternbergh of Melbourne, Fla.; and a brother, George Sternbergh of Melbourne. She was born in South Hampton, Long Island, N.Y., daughter of William Casgrain, and moved to Mendon in 1990. She graduated from a regional high school in Flemington, N.J., in 1979 and from University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1986. She was commissioned a second lieutenant in the ROTC, and graduated from basic and advanced Adjutant General School, Combined Armed Services Staff School and Command General Staff College.
Mrs. Guido was a major in the Army National Guard, serving as director of public affairs and special staff to the Adjutant General. In 1988, she served at the Armed Forces Inaugural Committee for former President George H. Bush. She was a member of the 65th public affairs attachment of the Massachusetts National Guard and did overseas tours in Europe and Central America.
She was leader of Brownie Troop 353 and chairman of the board of Milford Family Network Project. She recently received the Eagle Award from the National Guard Bureau in Washington, D.C.
The funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, from Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford, with a Mass at 12:30 p.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 5 East Main St. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Milford. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, in the funeral home.
Jeanne C. Haaker, 91

FITCHBURG -- Jeanne C. (LaRochelle) Haaker, 91, of 116 Culley St., died Friday, Nov. 9, in Birchwood Care Center.
She leaves her husband of 77 years, Carl E. Haaker Sr.; two sons, Donald R. Haaker of South Yarmouth and David C. Haaker of the Baldwinville section of Templeton; two sisters, Aline O'Connor of North Falmouth and Fernande Meade in New York; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A son, Carl E. Haaker, died in 1991. A brother, Roland LaRochelle of Boston, died in 1989. Another brother, Romeo LaRochelle of Fitchburg, also predeceased her. She was born in Fitchburg, daughter of Sinai and Leona (Rousseau) LaRochelle.
Mrs. Haaker attended St. Bernard's and St. Joseph's churches.
The funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, in St. Joseph's Church, 49 Woodland St. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Dorothy Hagerman, 70

MARLBORO -- Dorothy T. (Nicholas) Hagerman, 70, of Marlboro, died Thursday, Nov. 8, in Westridge Health Care Center after a long illness.
Her husband, Leonard N. Hagerman Jr., died in 1989. She leaves a sister, Elizabeth Jesus of New Bedford; two brothers, Manuel Nicholas of Florida and Leonard Nicholas of Marlboro; many nieces and nephews. She was born in Stoughton, daughter of Manuel and Josephine (Rafelko) Nicholas, and lived more than 30 years in Stoughton. She graduated from New Bedford High School.
Mrs. Hagerman was an assembler many years at Data General, and was an assembler several years at the former Phillips Electronics. She was also a nurse's aide several years at Marlboro Hospital.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, and was a member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and was a member and past treasurer of the Ladies of the Moose.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, Nov. 13, from John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. A calling period will be held from 8 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, in the funeral home.
John P. Hanney, 84

CLINTON -- John P. Hanney, 84, of 54 Richman St., a retired office manager, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center after an illness.
He leaves a sister, Mary C. Hanney, with whom he lived; three nieces, Mary Jane Nuzzetti of Worcester, Kate Hanney of Clinton and Ellen Philbin of Lancaster; grandnieces and grandnephews. He was born in Clinton, son of William and Catherine (Philbin) Hanney.
Mr. Hanney was an office manager at Standard Burner Co. before retiring. He was a lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist Church.
The funeral will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, from Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster. Edward Hass, 86

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Edward Hass, 86, of 4022 Wolverton B., formerly of Worcester, died Saturday, Nov. 10, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.
He leaves his wife of 61 years, Rebecca "Sibil" (Kadasevitz) Hass; a son, Rodney Hass of Acton; a daughter, Caroline Solid of Worcester; a brother, Myer "Babe" Hass of Framingham; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. A brother, Michael Hass of Natick, and a sister, Evelyn Plotkin of Revere, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Marcus and Mary (Ring) Hass, and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
In his youth, he was a member of the Golden Gloves New England, and was a featherweight New England boxing champion.
Mr. Hass was a painter for Hass Brothers Painting, retiring many years ago.
He was a member of Temple Emanuel.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, in Perlman Funeral Home, 1026 Main St. Burial will be in Worcester Hebrew Cemetery, Auburn. The memorial observance will be held through Tuesday evening, Nov. 13, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Solid, 10 Spring Valley Road. Pauline T. Heagney, 85

CLINTON -- Pauline T. Heagney, 85, of 124 Walnut St., a retired supervisor, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, in McKee Medical Center in Loveland, Colo., after being stricken ill while visiting a niece.
She leaves a niece, Catherine A. Voth, of Loveland. Three brothers and four sisters predeceased her. She was born in Clinton, daughter of William and Sarah (Gannon) Heagney, and lived most of her life in New York City and Clinton.
Ms. Heagney was a supervisor for a New York City telephone company for many years, retiring in 1975. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, the Clinton Senior Center and the Telephone Pioneers of America.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Paul B. Higdon, 92

WEST BROOKFIELD -- Paul B. Higdon, 92, of Central Street, a retired assembler, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.
He leaves his wife of 68 years, Callie B. (Jones) Higdon; a daughter, Shelia M. Turman of Royston, Ga.; a brother, Grayson Higdon of Franklin, N.C.; four grandsons; a great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. He was born in Franklin, N.C., son of Thomas B. and Lula (Shepard) Higdon, and moved to West Brookfield in 1952.
Mr. Higdon was an assembler 32 years for the former Perkins Machine of Warren, retiring in 1973.
He was a member of First Congregational Church, Bay Path Masonic Lodge, and the West Brookfield Senior Center. He was an honorary member of the Wickaboag Sportsman Club, and enjoyed fishing and gardening.
The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, in First Congregational Church, 36 North Main St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Higdonville Cemetery in Higdonville, N.C. There are no calling hours. John Hovanesian, 88

WORCESTER -- John Hovanesian, 88, of 8 Walworth St., died Thursday, Nov. 8, in UConn Medical Center, John Dempsey Hospital.
His wife of 35 years, Elizabeth (Martin) Hovanesian, died in 1976. He leaves a son, Leon Hovanesian of Pompano Beach, Fla.; a brother, Ralph Hovanesian of Paxton; a sister, Ann Hovanesian of Worcester; two grandchildren; two nephews and a niece. A brother, Vram Hovanesian of Worcester, died many years ago. He was born in Springfield, son of Leon and Agavne (Gostanian) Hovanesian, and graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and was a member of the Armenian Veterans Association.
Mr. Hovanesian was a cabinetmaker for the Worcester Public Schools, and was previously a machinist at Wyman-Gordon Co.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Armenian Church and its Men's Club.
He was a member of the Carpenters Union AFL-CIO.
The funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, in Holy Trinity Armenian Church, 635 Grove St. will be private. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. SOUTHBRIDGE -- Stanley H. Johnson, 66, of 12 Park St., a project manager and a Vietnam veteran, died Saturday, Nov. 10, in Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 42 years, Juanita R. (Crampton) Johnson; two sons, Michael and John Johnson, both of Southbridge; two daughters, Lynn-Ann Johnson of Southbridge and Wendy Pero of Woonsocket, R.I.; his mother, Alfhild Johnson of Leominster; a brother, Steven Johnson of Westminster; and seven grandchildren. He was born in Worcester, son of John E. Johnson, and lived many years in Southbridge. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Johnson worked 22 years as a project manager for CPC Engineering, Sturbridge. He was also employed by Brinderson Co., the Sturbridge Isle Truck Stop and as an independent accountant. He was a member of Dr. Van's Cardiac Rehabilitation Group, Southbridge, and enjoyed studying Civil War history.
A funeral will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, in Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St. Following cremation, burial will be at the family's convenience in All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, in the funeral home. HOLDEN -- Dolores E. (Carmichael) Karas, 72, of 68 Putnam Lane, died Friday, Nov. 9, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- Memorial Campus.
Her husband, Charles Karas, died in 1998. She leaves a son, Charles G. Karas of Charlton; two daughters, Elizabeth Z. Hallinan of Holden and Mary A. Evans of Bristol, England; two sisters, Frances Baker of Auburn and Nancy J. Renales of Lynn; five grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Gloucester, daughter of B.W. and Elizabeth (Clancey) Carmichael, and graduated from Classical High School, Worcester.
Mrs. Karas was a member of St. Mary's Church, Jefferson.

UPTON -- Mildred A. (Auty) Kennelly, 86, formerly of Mendon and Upton, a former hat maker, died Monday, Nov. 12, in Beaumont Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center, Northbridge, after a long illness.
Her husband, F. Everett Kennelly, died in 1985. She leaves a son, James M. Kennelly Sr. of Mendon; a daughter, Kathleen E. Ferris of North Smithfield, R.I.; three brothers, Charles Auty of Milford, Alfred and William Auty, both of Mendon; three sisters, Helen Salvia of Mendon, Regina Smith of Uxbridge and Vera Olson of Hopedale; four grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A sister, Florence Goodridge of Upton, died in 1983. Another sister, Eleanor Auty of Mendon, also predeceased her. She was born in Milford, daughter of Alfred and Mary Bella (Mathews) Auty, and was raised in Mendon. She lived most of her life in Mendon and Upton.
Mrs. Kennelly was a hat maker in the West Upton hat industry and then worked several years at Fenwal in Ashland, retiring in 1984.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, in United Parish Church, Central Square. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. HUDSON -- Thomas J. Kerrigan Sr., 71, of Hudson, died Friday, Nov. 9, in UMass Memorial Hospital in Marlboro, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 43 years, Phyllis A. (Martel) Kerrigan; two sons, Thomas J. Kerrigan Jr. and Joseph Kerrigan, both of Hudson; four daughters, Kathleen Watson of Maynard, Eileen Boudreau of Leominster, Maureen Kerrigan of Pelham, N.H., and Martha Fulham of Marlboro; a brother, Robert Kerrigan of Hudson; a sister, Mary Shay of Hudson; eight grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Two brothers, William and John Kerrigan, predeceased him. He was born in Hudson, son of William and Maude (Myrick) Kerrigan, and graduated from Hudson High School in 1947. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Kerrigan was a lieutenant in the Hudson Fire Department, retiring in 1986.
