LEICESTER -- AnnMarie (Casello) Girouard, 43, of 285 Henshaw St., a payroll clerk, died Saturday, August 4, at home after a long battle with cancer.
She leaves her husband of 22 years Edmond R. Girouard; a son, Matthew E. Girouard of Leicester; a daughter, Sharyn L. Girouard of Leicester; her parents, Nicholas and Jeanne (Cormier) Casello of Leicester; a brother, Nicholas Casello of Leicester; two sisters, Emily A. Vandale of Spencer, and Michelle F. Doray of West Warren; and many nephews and nieces. A sister, Sharon M. Casello, died in 1974. She was born in Worcester, and graduated from Leicester High School. She received an associate degree from Becker College in Worcester.
Mrs. Girouard was a payroll clerk 10 years with the Worcester School Department.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Church.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, Aug. 7, from Morrison-Morin Funeral Home, 1131 Main St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 759 Main St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Worcester. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH, Maine -- May E. Glass, 94, of Pinehurst Avenue, formerly of Worcester, Mass., died Thursday, July 5, in Pine Point Health Care Facility.
She was born in Hanwell, England, daughter of Henry and Bessie (Payne) Glass, and lived several years in Worcester. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester in 1926. She attended the Salvation Army School of Officer Training in the Bronx, N. Y.
The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 30, in Salvation Army Corps, Old Orchard Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Old Orchard Beach Salvation Army Corps, Building Fund, Old Orchard Beach, ME 04064.

DOUGLAS -- Mary B. (Bombara) Gonsorcik, 93, of 21 Cook St., a retired weaver, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Providence Extended Care Center, Worcester, after an illness.
Her husband, Joseph F. Gonsorcik, died in 1986. She leaves three sons, Joseph F. Gonsorcik of Millbury, John A. Gonsorcik of Linwood and Andrew S. Gonsorcik of Clinton; a daughter, Francis M. Jolda of Douglas; a sister, Helen Minchin of Augusta, Ga. nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A brother, Andrew Bombara, predeceased her. She was born in New Hartford, Conn, daughter of Andrew and Susan (Carisni) Bombara, and had lived in Douglas for 66 years.
Mrs. Gonsorcik worked as a weaver and in the finish room and mixed cloth department at the former Haywood Schuster Woolen Co. for 25 years. She later was a housekeeper for several area families. She was a member of the Douglas Sunshine Club and the Lady's Sokol Society. She was a member of St. Denis Church and its St. Anne's Society. She enjoyed flowers.
The funeral will be held Saturday, Aug. 4, from Jackman Funeral Home, 7 Mechanic St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Denis Church, Manchaug Road. Burial will follow in St. Denis Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, in the funeral home. WORCESTER -- Barbara A. (Hutchinson) Green, 71, of 44 Barnes Ave., died Monday, July 23, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center after being stricken ill.
She leaves her husband of 50 years, Lewis J. Green; two daughters, Sheila L. Pratt of Worcester and Gayle L. Armstrong of West Boylston; a son, Lewis W. Green of Worcester; a sister, Joan L. Davis of Friendship, Md. ; a brother, Walter E. Hutchinson Jr. of Worcester; seven grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Walter E. and Lillian E. (Lemeke) Hutchinson, and graduated from Commerce High School in 1948.
Mrs. Green worked 28 years at State Mutual Life Assurance Co. of America, retiring in 1989. She was a member of St. Michael-on-the-Heights Church and its choir. She was past president of the West Boylston Senior Citizens and a member of Sterling Senior Citizens. She enjoyed traveling and bingo.
The memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, in St. Michael-on-the-Heights Church, 340 Burncoat St. Cremation will be in Rural Crematory. There are no calling hours. MAYNARD -- Louise J. (Maccini) Grigas, 83, formerly of Summer Hill Glen, died Tuesday, July 31, in Wingate of Wilbraham.
Her husband, Joseph Grigas, predeceased her. She leaves two daughters, Mary Mansfield of Ware and Elaine E. Luz of Orange; a brother; a sister; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Three brothers and four sisters predeceased her. She was born in Wellesley.
She was a member of the Maynard Senior Citizen Club.
The funeral service will be held at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, from Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord St., with a Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Bridget's Church, Percival and Sudbury Streets. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, in the funeral home.

WORCESTER -- Martin B. Hall, 83, of Bailey Road, a World War II veteran and former Massachusetts State Trooper died Sunday, July 22, in Providence House of Millbury, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
He leaves his wife of 52 years, Eleanor M. (Bean) Hall; a son, Martin J. Hall of Parker, Colo. ; a daughter, JoAnne M. Babin of Sutton; two brothers, William Hall of Natick and John Hall of Montpelier, Vt; two sisters, Mary M. Hughes of Cady, Texas and Virginia Snow of Natick; five grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A sister, Josephine Hall of Natick, predeceased him. He was born in Natick, son of William and Anne (MacDonald) Hall. He graduated from Natick High School and Bridgeton Academy. He attended Boston University.
He was a Marine veteran of World War II.
Mr. Hall was chief of security at Becker College for several years before retiring in 1987. He previously was an insurance adjuster for Hartford A & I and American Mutual Insurance Companies. He was also a Massachusetts State Trooper for seven years after serving in World War II. He was a member of Christ the King Church.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. Please omit flowers. WORCESTER -- Francis J. Hartnett, 86, of 57 Wyola Drive, a World War II veteran and longtime city firefighter, died Sunday, July 22, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- Memorial Campus after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 56 years, Theresa G. (LaBaire) Hartnett; two sons, Michael W. Hartnett of Worcester and Peter F. Hartnett of Leicester; a daughter, Robbin T. Lotsbom of Worcester; a sister, Rita D. O'Keefe of Worcester; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester, son of Michael J. and Dora T. (Boudreau) Hartnett.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Hartnett was a city firefighter for 30 years, retiring as a lieutenant in 1979.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church, the Worcester Lodge of Elks 243, and Worcester Firefighters Local 1009. He enjoyed fishing, and was an avid reader.
A funeral will be held Thursday, July 26, from Kelly Funeral Home, 154 Lincoln St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. ASHBY -- Carol A. (Dufva) Hassett, 64, of 180 Turnpike Road, a retired nurse, died Monday, July 23, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- University Campus, Worcester, after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 40 years, Edward K. Hassett; three daughters, Robin B. Hassett of Ashby, Holly C. Hatfield of Leominster and Linda G. Foley of Stafford, Va. ; two sisters, Beverly G. Tolic and Linda C. Paquin, both of Worcester; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Mauri and Empi “Bobbie” (Teikari) Dufva, and lived 34 years in Ashby. She graduated from Classical High School in 1954 and Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1957, both in Worcester.
Mrs. Hassett was a registered nurse at Children's Extended Care Center, Groton, for 25 years, retiring three years ago.

He leaves his wife, Mary E. (Nykiel) Hawes; his mother, Zofie P. (Plezia) Hawes of East Brookfield; and a sister, Sandra A. Brickell of Cleveland, S. C. He was born in Ware, son of H. Bradford Hawes, and was raised in East Brookfield. He graduated from Kingsley Hall, Great Barrington, in 1967 and earned a bachelor's degree from Western New England College, Springfield.
Mr. Hawes worked 20 years at American Athletic Shoe, Ware, and the past eight years at Norton Co., Worcester.

CHARLTON -- Florence E. Hills, 92, of Masonic Home Road, formerly of West Newton and Waltham, died Thursday, July 19, the Masonic Home after an illness.
She leaves a nephew, E. Prescott Hills of West Lawn, Pa. ; a niece, Lois Kohart of Moorestown, N. J. ; grandnephews and grandnieces; great-grandnephews and great-grandnieces. Two brothers, E. Prescott and Richard Hills, predeceased her. She was born in West Newton, daughter of Robert E. and Winifred W. (Flagler) Hills, and graduated from Newton High School, Newton-Wellesley Hospital Nursing School, and Massachusetts General Hospital.
Mrs. Hills was a nurse, and was later an X-ray technician at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was a former warrant officer for the civil air patrol in Framingham. She was a pilot.
She was a member of Central Congregational Church in Newtonville.
The memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 28, in Central Congregational Church, 218 Walnut St., Newtonville. Burial will be in Newton Cemetery, Newton. FALMOUTH, Maine -- Isabelle D. (Fairbanks) Hobby, 89, of Falmouth, formerly of Cape Elizabeth and of Woodstock, Conn., died Tuesday, July 24, in Portland.
Her husband, Allston B. Hobby, predeceased her. She leaves a daughter, Marilyn H. Wescott of Newburyport, Mass. ; a son, Richard S. Hobby of Falmouth; a sister, Mary F. Haskell of Falmouth; and three grandchildren. She was born in Smyrna Mills, daughter of Sumner A. and Bessie (Daggett) Fairbanks, and lived in Staunton, Va. She graduated from Houlton High School in 1929 and earned a bachelor's degree from Colby College, Waterville, in 1933.
Mrs. Hobby taught three years at Island Falls High School and two years at Houlton High School. She then taught English, French and music at Ricker Classical Institute. In Connecticut, she taught at Rectory School and did private tutoring. She was a co-founder of Belmar Industries, which made Nurse Jane uniforms for kids. She later assisted her husband in operating a management consulting business.
She was a soloist and was involved with choirs in Maine, Connecticut and Massachusetts. She started the Junior Choir at First Congregational Church, Woodstock, and directed Elm Street Church Choir, Southbridge, Mass., and a mixed choir at the dedication of the Old Sturbridge Village Meeting House in Sturbridge, Mass. She also enjoyed creative writing and acting and was involved with the Woodstock Players. She was active with organizations in Maine and Connecticut, and enjoyed flying, bridge, and mountain climbing.
The graveside service in Raymond will be private. There are no calling hours.
